Looking forward to the full review. You're right about the Convoy S11. I have 3 of them with various emitters. An SST40, XHP50.2, and a GT-FC40, I think they all are 5000K. I've had them for a few years now and it's hard to remember. The GT-FC40 is my favorite.
Review in full up tomorrow. the S11 needs an update its a great cheap light but the size and weight will put people off who have never given it a chance I bet.
This qualifies as a review at least for me. I suppose wallshots will be included in the main review. I think people usually mention tint shift for 50.2 which is actually fixed with the newer 50.3.
These is tint shift and i guess thats why they have a kelvin value showing 2 figures so it depends where in the beam you are examining. I didnt know the .3 fixes that range of tint through the beam profile thats good news. Review up tomorrow mate all done.
Love this review and real-world show of a plethora of different lights you did. Question: out of all of these pocketable (EDC) flashlights you showed here, if you could only pick one to carry on a hike, which one would you choose? Valuing throw or push, spread, beam quality, and lastly battery life? Thank you in advance.
Thank you :-) Its so hard when people ask me these questions but i can still answer with what *I* would pick just bear in mind thats for me not for everyone. Here are my thoughts: Brinyte beam is too tight for hiking Convoy S11 is beautiful tint but heavy Lumintop is lovely light but beam is slightly restricted in comparison to others Sofirn SC31 Pro is a nice mix of throw and width for hiking Sofirn SC32 is really compact, but bean is narrow in comparison. I would pick the FC13S in fact you can go to my full review as I make time to sit and talk through a side by side beam comparison in that i pretty much come to the same conclusion. all of these lights are great BUT this is what id grab for a quick hike. @@TrailTrek Mate…helps immensely! Thank you for you’re honest assessment to my question. And I 100% understand that your pick may not be someone else’s, therefore makes it hard to answer these type of “put you on the spot” questions. With that said, the reason I asked is, after finding you on YT, and watching this video, I respect you highly as someone who knows about torches. As far as this bloke is concerned, I am grateful for your opinion, and respect it. I just purchased the Sofirn SC31 last week. I am impressed. My initial assessment with it is similar. It’s a great all-arounder. Good flood. Good throw. Nice beam. Now I’m hooked and want more. I’m on the quest to find one more or less the same size and pocket-ability with higher lumens, further throw, still possess a wide of a beam like the Sofirn SC31, longer run time, and need a magnetic tail like the SC31 if possible. The Wurkkos FC11 seems to fit those criteria (not sure if it has a mag tail). However, it’s available with two different emitters. The XHP50P and the SFT40. Not sure which is superior yet. Any thoughts or experiences with either of these emitters or the FC11?
Cheers. We are getting spoiled for choice at times. Yet when I go into physical stores they only have a terrible selection of underwhelming lights on offer.
Is there a difference between the fc13 and the fc13s because the fc13 is rated at 3500 lummens and I've seen a review of it and it looked more powerful i think it was using the 50.2 LED

For $18 when these go on sale and with Power Bank capability, these are great gifts for people, if nothing else, as a car backup light.

@@TrailTrek o yea my nite stand has a much better selection than any store I know of lol and the stores want tomuch money for what they offer.

Yes the S version is a simple version to make the light more mainstream. it is a newer version but has different stats.
