Capcom removed or nerfed a bunch of SNK character's moves to make it more of a fair fight for their characters. Only a very small few of the SNK cast are as good as their actual SNK counterparts.
@@MarkLoweCEO Yeah, most KoF chars are worse than their original versions. But there's also the factor of "tradition". Capcom wanted to make more classic versions of the SNK KoF (though not 100% consistent, but still mostly) instead of just the most updated version. Examples to make it clearer: Ryu and Chun are actually updated, based on the SF3 version, which was the newest SF at that time. But for KoF, Capcom approached differently: Kyo is based on his 98 version though his Nests version already existed by the time of CvS1 (out in 00). Beni, Yuri, Mai and others also lack good new things that they gained around KoF 00 and 99.
I love this super. It just feels so perfect for something so up-in-your face lmao. Also, it would be pretty sick to see a Geese Counter/Predictabo evolution, i don’t think anyone’s done one
@@TheSuperSmashBros01 i think thats actually just badass, also his intro where he calls out the mishima and kazama family, and anyone with special powers.
Lot of people, even old school fg fans, are very ignorant about SNK. Mainly if they are from places that lack an actual SNK background in the 90s gaming scene, like notably north america.
Nothing wrong with calling it geese's super from t7 since it's literally is and people will know the move regardless, seems like a really weird nitpicky thing to be upset about
3:56 Jesus I knew this guy was strong but I didn't know he could not only pick up Rugal, a 6'6 man that is absolutely stacked, but throw him high in the air, with ONE ARM.
strangely one of my favorites is 2:31... all these years I was like wait, doesn't he actually say Rashomon during one of these? and then I remembered it's this one that I remember. tho probably actually KoF 2006 with the Japanese voices on... but the way he says it is amazing to me for some reason.
It is a command grab, they just get rid of the motion, Rashomon still act like a command grab on T7, it's high, unblockable, and unbreakable, that's why it's still considered to be a command grab but without any motion,i know it's weird but considering how almost all RA is a supers that need to hit the opponent to get activated and Rashomon certainly active even when the enemy blocking then it's still considered as a command grab.
@@terrybohart It looks more like an uppercut than Geese grabbing the opponent imo, but an unblockable high would be a close approximation to a typical command grab since otherwise you can break grabs in T7
@@terrybohart I'm sorry but reading a paragraph which not only has MULTIPLE commas, and zero periods is just painful. I gotta breathe while reading these y'know.
I remember at ART OR FIGHTING 2, you can already combo something with simillar results to the RASHOMON. You have a special move called LETHAL UPPERCUT, that is actually pretty close to the first part of the Rashomon, then when the opponent was falling down, you can combo with a Deadly Rave. Results are pretty close, with just a few extra hits.
The one from Fatal Fury First contact is missing. My favorites are still those from RB2 and SVC. The former does lots of damage and the latter can be used in combos.
3:21 Where the hell did the WOW come from? Then again, Geese is just that awesome. So it only makes sense that would be said as we marvel at his excellence
The original is the best one. Period! Edit: I still facepalm when i play KOF2002 and hear Kyo's theme while playing with Geese or any of the other extra characters.
Now I may be biased but T7 to me is best. I am a tried and true Tekken player and I do use Geese he's kinda op, but his rage art is easily the single most clean one in Tekken. How it's just one and done super fast and if you want a better one you just do the fhcbf and get Deadly Rave. Character is kinda op I mean he touches you with a 15 frame move you just fall over. Likewise he can combo out of a delayed midair kick which combos into his 2f1. Idk his max damage but this guy's damage is better than Akuma's and Akuma is the #1 character in T7.
His detour into trying and failing to take over the Mishima Zaibatsu surely made him stronger, considering his climax takes _half_ your health in XV, something that certainly will get nerfed
Yeah like all KOF supers you need a certain amount of meter depending on the super. And for Rashomon in particular, you have to be ridiculously close in order to hit the already tough input lol
his KOFXV version is easily the best
the amount of impact it has is unreal
They really learned their lesson after everything in KOF XIV felt underwhelming!
I agree, I would liked to see Thunder Break in his moveset tho
@@bolthesorcerer3570 that's what i was hoping for
They took notes from T7 and made it even better, I love it
Best one is in RB2.
"See you, in your nightmare" - Badass!
It's a shame Geese didn't have this move in Capcom vs SNK. He had it in SVC CHAOS
to balance M.Bison's amount of super moves

KOF XV is easily one of the best version for me. The more impact they put on this move the better it become
The gameboy geese had more impact than most of the games after it. Freakon respect
Geese is a badass. Nuff said.
This is my favorite move in all of SNK! The way he screams "Rashomon!" in some of the games is ice cold!

well i like the skill in kof as in boss syndrom
Tekken 7's version is just too funny to me. Just how he points at them and says that.
My favorite is when your opponent is KO’D he steps on you and says “Stay down Maggot.” With a gigantic shit eating grin.
And how he scoops them up in the air with his open hand
That’s what makes it sick. “now die” so nonchalantly because he knows he’s a a bad ass.

There was even a time when geese temporarily died, only to show up somewhere else
Hilariously, I didn't know Geese had this move in any other game besides RBFF2.
Lol, gamer take
“The move from Tekken”
Yeah, a lot of posers do call it that.
Real gamers know its called Rashoumon ever since Geese was made playable in Fatal Fury series.
Tekken 7’s version is pretty cool
Honestly, XV was the first time I seen this move, and it is by far the best version of Rashomon
3:56 Jesus I knew this guy was strong but I didn't know he could not only pick up Rugal, a 6'6 man that is absolutely stacked, but throw him high in the air, with ONE ARM.
Geese is in peak physical condition. He can do that to Raiden ;)
This is fighting games. Even little girls are super strong.
Besides, Geese doing that is so PREDICABO
He wasn't a fighting game's final boss for nothing.

Only for the English talking lines. The rest of his exclamations are still voiced by Kong Kuwata, including the 'die, maggot!' part.

"Geese, what happens if I eat the last Puddin' Pop in the fridge?"
Geese: 2:03
Now, the Geese's Raging Storm evolution

XV's upward throw feels the best for me at the very least, lol
Also, it stops the entire soundtrack just because
Maximilian: It's his Tekken 7 move!

Same as he saying
That Ryo's Ryuku Ranbu is according to him "a ultra combo from killer instinct"

KOF XV actually has the best version damn lol even the voice of geese screaming the move is badass
