Totally forgot to say, at 3:03 if you don't see those 4 icons at the top just zoom in on your timeline and they should appear! Also, EARLY VIDEO WOO! I might even try and do another one tomorrow as well seen as it's Christmas (but no guarantees as I haven't done my Christmas shopping yet!) 😆
gotta love google found the answer.: OpenFX, or OFX, is a standardized software interface between the host and plug-ins for visual effects, editing, compositing, and finishing. DaVinci Resolve includes several filters under OpenFX, but some of the filters are not included in the free version, including Lens Blur, Camera Blur, Lens Flare, and Film Grain. One particularly useful tool OFX tool is Face Refinement.
This is awesome how you made this zoom transition without even using the fusion tab. Every other video I watched have been using Nodes to create. Cheers mate.
Thank you for this very helpful tutorial! One addition: this adjustment clip can be dragged into the power bin and so be re-used in other projects, too (to see the powerbins go to "view" and activate "show power bins").
Great Idea, I was thinking about the same. When I do it tho, the adjustment Clip has no zoom or either blur on it. Its strange. Do you might know a solution to this problem? Cheers
Question. I’ve followed your direction to the letter and transition look great when played slow but when I hit play on timeline it just jumps through it badly. What am I doing wrong?
Awesome video, thanks so much! The effect is great and your instructions were easy to follow too. I also appreciated that it only took 5min too. This was the third zoom transition video that I looked at and the quickest and most effective. Thank you!!🙏🙏
I only subscribed a few days ago, now I'm thinking, damn I've been missing out on this great content, trouble is I'm going to need watch all your videos now, well done mate 👍👍
Alex your vids and stripped down, sane explanations have helped me launch my channel on writing advice. Left an anonymous thank you on your coffee page. Cheers, Bro.
Thanks sooooo much! Very easy to follow, step by step, just follow along. I may not be the sharpest tool in the shed but that was easy. Thank you very much! You got my following.
Thanks so much!! I've been watching all these extremely difficult fusion thingy tutorials and all I just wanted was a simple smooth zoom without a whole lot of effort every time you do it!!! Plus your videos are so helpful and understandable!!
I would love to see a zoom transition on a specific object. For instance, someone wearing sunglasses and zooming into the glasses lense into the next shot. Awesome videos as usual!
With so many videos out there on transitions, yours incorporates the better techniques and results. Although I've seen other tutorials on spin transitions, I would love to see your take on how to pull it off. Where the image spins in one direction, and the next shot continues the spin in the same direction, but the transition is hidden in the spin.
Hey Todd my dude! Thanks bud. Yeaaah it's in the works actually. It's easy to do using a very similar technique, but the problem is when you rotate, you get alot of black background showing so i need to figure out a nice solution for that. If you combine a zoom with a spin, it works really well but i'm trying to find a nice way without the zoom! Hopefully I can figure something out 🙂
Thank you for your straight forward approach to these "5 minute Friday" tutorials! Your mouse moves are easy to follow, your explanation is clear and your video presentation good. It all adds up to my "Go To" UA-cam site for learning more about Davinci Resolve! Great job!
Great video! I usually go with cutting 5-20 frames of the last & next clips and create a fusion clip. And then apply a template from the fusion window. But yourr approach can be done once and copy pasted later and save some time! Thanks
Thank you for your transition tutorials on DaVinci Alex, super helpful and easy to follow. Especially for a newbie to editing and filmography like myself!
I love you! I was finding videos that had the Fusion version but my computer isn't the best so I was looking for a alternative and you made that happen!
