Ok a theremin basically sounds like a really anxious trombone player that is awkwardly playing all of their notes wrong...with their trombone completely out of tune...and I love it!
The Day the Earth Stood Still movie brought me here today 12/9/20 as I just finished watching it and which I haven't seen in at least 10 years but saw it several times through the decades since the 1960s as a teen; if it hadn't been for the commentator that it was used in this movie I wouldn't have known. I definitely recognized the sound at 2:48 in this movie with Gort opening his facial strip and ready to disintegrate.
This looks like great fun, maybe therapeutic (for some), if you commit to mastering different sounds. (I thought I heard a truck horn in there). You're on your feet, moving your upper body and concentrating. (There's a saying. Sitting is the new smoking). If you get really goodz you can be in a pop MV rockin a Theramin. lol. I know a lot of digital sounds are available on software, but imagine generating a few of your own. It might be fun to create and compile fx for your use on your YT segments.
I have the same theremin and am producing a Halloween track for trick or treaters. Thanks for the ideas! Also, if you do anything with the brightness knob, please let me know.
Lol. I need this in my life! Never heard of this instrument. Where have I been? You continuously impress me. Thanks! Okay, the tongue play was a bit much.
Omg my brother would totally understand everything you say but hey we're all nerds. Love you bro. Came to your video to see what a theremin is because apparently Saw series uses one.
Would you happen to know the Theremin "sound" is in any synth? Or is there a "sound" like it, that can be manipulated and passed off for it. I need that sound for my recording!
Those are some... interesting... adaptations of Star Wars and Mary Had a Little Lamb lmao. for real tho, i love messing around on electronic noise makers, and even if I'm not playing something musically I will still give it a shot and happily do it for an audience, I'm more interested in making weird sounds, so you're in good company! lololol
LOL OLOLOL... and then 10 minutes later... you had your fun and have no interest in playing a real song on the thing. Who wants to be a theremin pro? lol.
Lol... I leave the stuff I used in my previous videos in the background. =D I made it... so I sort of birthed it. First thing people notice is that head... people get startled... HA HA!
Francis! I am glad you changed the setting of your video! I know you are the time ,money and effort efficiency man! But give more to the videos, changing the setting, lighting, angles, editing, sounds effects etc,,,(like cinema video when u filmed urself entering :D ) believe me it will pay off :)
Hey BTB LoL .... Now that is a very useful device I can think of thousands of good needs around the house for it. Totally freak out the cat with it ... If you live in a condo or apartment type dwelling it would be great to freakout the neighbors making them think we are having an alien encounter . All kinds of fun things to do with it ..... Keep up the good work.... Tom
Believe it or not, Zack Snyder confirmed that his sfx team used this to make the terraforming ship sound effect in Man of Steel. You know, the big giant ship with the beam coming out of it. Yeah, cool
BeatTheBush link to the terraforming scene? Cause their is a featurette of the movie where Snyder says that his sound design crew used a theremin but they never show the creation of it
You should make a video on thrift stores. I have gotten a lot of new brand name clothing for just a couple dollars. It can also help if you are just moving out because you can get pretty much anything you need for an extremely cheap price without sacrificing quality if you loom hard enough.
I doubt I can. I hardly ever go into one. I haven't been buying enough clothes as I just use what I have. I do get some free stuff from Banana Republic though. ua-cam.com/video/Sum-57FX7A0/v-deo.html
This is so freak'n cool. I love your channel! The theremin has been around for years and been featured on movie soundtracks. Always liked it. You are very good at playing it. Keep having fun and Happy Holiday Season to you. Cheers.
Ok a theremin basically sounds like a really anxious trombone player that is awkwardly playing all of their notes wrong...with their trombone completely out of tune...and I love it!

Honestly really good
It was decent. I’ve heard worse. At least the notes were right.
3:33 Narly thats some mad dubstep
1:56 Hey! That's a boo
You have to be one of the most endearing people I have not had the pleasure to met yet.
Lol. =D Thanks!
I wish he lived in Dallas, TX. It would cut down on his grocery bills, since I love to feed people. Thanh, you are a very lovely lady.
I couldn't have said it better.
3:12 why does sounds like a whistle register
The tongue one made me laugh!
Never would of thought of that
😛
I wish I had one for actual music purposes. Great video, BtB.
Marshmallow used The theremin in his song silence with Khalid and that's what brought me here. Love it. Thanks!
LMAO that Star Wars theme is up there with Flute Titanic and Melodica Jurassic Park theme! xD xD
Hahaha, I love your sense of humor!!
=D =D
This made me laugh so much! Tongue play killed me
=D =D =D
2:55 sounds like an opera singer, beautiful

Why do I find this scary
The Drone/Theremin combination got me 😁😂✌️
=D XD
You should make a top 10 rip off/ useless gifts for Christmas
Great Idea. except it's sort of passed. There are so many.

Wow... making a track even? Nice! Ahhh... I am such a novice at this though.
Thanks, this has been fun, and informative.! I thought of a joke that ghosts would sound like theremins so I wanted to remind myself how they work.
Lol... I bet it's the early movie makers that popularized this idea. It does sound a bit creepy depending on how you play it.
I was thinking about old space movies.
"The theremin is the only instrument you can play without touching it at all"
Gloves: _am I a joke to you?_
Yeah vut then you touching with the gloves
Lol. I need this in my life! Never heard of this instrument. Where have I been? You continuously impress me. Thanks! Okay, the tongue play was a bit much.
You're welcome! AHhhh hahah I had to do it, never seen it before.
Omg my brother would totally understand everything you say but hey we're all nerds. Love you bro. Came to your video to see what a theremin is because apparently Saw series uses one.
Can this Theremin replicate the Scanner sound of KITT from Knight Rider ?
Would you happen to know the Theremin "sound" is in any synth? Or is there a "sound" like it, that can be manipulated and passed off for it. I need that sound for my recording!
Bitcoin Price killed me lmao! 🤣🤣🤣
That wasn't Mary had a little Lamb 😂😂😂
XD XD
at first i thought this was gonna be a boring product review but i was pleasantly surprised
I'm glad you liked this strange instrument! =D
2:33 it was at this moment he knew..he fucked up
Can't find that particular theremin on Amazon, which one is it?
I linked it in the video description.
“You’re not supposed to touch it though 😳”
😂😂😂
XDD
I laughed until I cried! Thank you! its so funny!
How does that thing work and how can it sense your hand ?
Now I know where the Horror sounds came from especially ghosts.
Theremin are really interesting but only truly great at spooky sounds and cartoon sfx tbh ^^
Those are some... interesting... adaptations of Star Wars and Mary Had a Little Lamb lmao. for real tho, i love messing around on electronic noise makers, and even if I'm not playing something musically I will still give it a shot and happily do it for an audience, I'm more interested in making weird sounds, so you're in good company! lololol

@@BeatTheBush i mean, I'm sure I couldn't play a traditional song on that, but I could make something work.
haha drone man. Wasn't expecting that!
"Bitcoin price..." HAHAHAHAHAA!
The bitcoin bulls might not watch this video so I had to slip that in.
Dayumn!! This guy has more gears than Fast and Furious
Ha ha ha! I didn't make the sound effect reflect a real engine. XD XD
You are a genius! Well done.
=D
Why you don’t celebrate Christmas is a great video idea. I don’t celebrate it either.
Wow this really explains that brain can pick up energy 👍
What?
@@isaacwilliam4314 I think it's a my singing monsters reference
Hey Siri, I am bored and I am here watching this which I have never heard. Very interesting!
The Star Wars one sounded like a cringy kid with a mouth full of chips
Anyone wanna buy my theremin? Haven't touched it in years.

How much these things go for?
Around 400-500 USD They also have cheaper ones.
@@BeatTheBush shit that's not bad actually. I was expecting like fucking thousands or something
Neat! But the first thing that caught my eye was the ASMR head lol😆
Same here, I don't know why he would have that thing in the house.
Lol... I leave the stuff I used in my previous videos in the background. =D I made it... so I sort of birthed it. First thing people notice is that head... people get startled... HA HA!
The dubstep sound thing immediately reminded me of the adults in Charlie Brown
Fascinating!!!!
Fun Fact: The Beach Boys, use an electro-theremin. Mike Love plays it.
Simply greatl!
Many thanks!

Ahhh... yes... those things will improve with time as my skill as a video producer is limited but improving.
Dude u were serious about that no musician thing, that shit was bad
I wonder where the dead video game character one is from
My thoughts was for Mario.
Wow. Your interests are really wide range!!! Interesting
=D I like trying new things out and also showing to everyone.

4:02 my upstairs neighbors at 3:00 am
Sound of Bitcoin price was hilarious
XD XD
I guess you found something to do with that drone. 😁
Yup... the only use I can find apparently. XD
I want to see you do Tai chi and make a song at the same motion
Lol!

Ha ha... I dunno about so m any uses. It took me a while to dig this thing out and finally make a video about it. =D
This is just great
=D
Believe it or not, Zack Snyder confirmed that his sfx team used this to make the terraforming ship sound effect in Man of Steel. You know, the big giant ship with the beam coming out of it. Yeah, cool
=D Whoa... I didn't know that... got a link to the exact scene?
BeatTheBush link to the terraforming scene? Cause their is a featurette of the movie where Snyder says that his sound design crew used a theremin but they never show the creation of it
I'm 100% sure this instrument is used in the body discovery (hope's breaking) sound effect in Danganronpa
Dude has never seen a racing car
I've been at a formula 1 race in person, does that count? Its incredibly loud even a mile away.
FYI, Moog is pronounced moag, or moge, not as in moo as a cow says...
Thanks!
How tall are you
Pretty normal.

bit coin price killed me LOL
XD
Me when I ate too much beans.
It just sounds like police sirens to me
You under arrest!
2:55 it scared me
Mary threw a little lamb into a wood chipper
She did?
yes...she did
Ha Funny! It's a cross between sound effects from old Sci-Fi films and a tuba.
It's fun... for a bit. =D
Do you mean Sci-Fi Sweep
My Favorite Martin :-o
I bought that same model. Fun, but much harder to play well than you think. Check out Clara Rockmore’s videos.
This is not a toy you simply mess with like me. It’s like a violin where you have to train for years it seems.
That Bitcoin reference aged well.
amazing
So fun too. =D
Mary had a little lam was the death
XD XD
I am here after listening to Natalie Holt's Loki
3:33 tecktonik
??
@@BeatTheBushyou don't know what it is?
Nope. what is it.
Mary had a little lamp? More like Mary had a fucking psychosis! Great vid tho
Pacman death. hahah that was great.
=D
Because OF COURSE you have a Theremin. And know how to play it.🤓
Also, the Bitcoin price sound just about slayed me. 😄
HAH AH AH HA H A. I keep on bringing these strange things into the vids... like that random car chair that one time. =D
BeatTheBush Car chair?! Now I have to go watching your back catalogue and find that. Also, Merry Christmas!
I happened to remember which one: ua-cam.com/video/eegESvfnycw/v-deo.html Just a car seat cover review.
and now i am going to leave this video
??
Why tf am I here at 3 am?
Oh Brother ! Really !
Mary had a dying lamb
Lol
I’m here because Myrtle Snow.
Robert Gomez lol so am I😂 American Horror Story has done it again🙌🏾‼️
edit out the theremin and put this over a scene from lord of the rings
Am i the only one who is genuinely scared of these things
It does sound very freaky indeed.
So cool...
=D
Bitcoin price 😂😂
Glad you're enjoying time off work!
I do have a stretch of permanent vacation.
Gotta be some next gen 30k rpm f1 race car
Kool Toy !

Happy Holidays. I saw some pros do it so I cannot match their skills. I'm no musician but I try.
I want one
Cracked me up
