If I ever learnt doing music, I think I'd just mess around with an instrument untill I find a cool sample. Then start to mess around with another ones until they make up a cool song, and then I write it lyrics.
The theremin sounds like it comes from another universe, and sometimes Daniel's skits feel straight out of another universe, so it's a perfect combination! Also, shameless plug, I'm hoping some of you might like the music that I make..:)

The first theremin Player would pinch her hands like the Italian meme (sorry Italians) because it would give her a point with which she could very finely control the pitch

one of my dad's rock bands has a theramin player and he does this trick in live shows where he sets it on fire while playing it. it can take it I guess because it's all metal? it's fuckin impressive.

Theremin seems like one of those instruments that are super fun to mess around with and super hard to get actual good music out of.
I'd say it would be easier to go for music based on strings rather than percussion and rhythm based instruments, like a piano.
