3:17 The distorted sound is likely a result of an inexpensive circuit in the theremin that uses a low-cost relaxation oscillator instead of a more-expensive resonant oscillator. (The amplifier isn't so much the culprit.) Relaxation oscillators have poor selectivity, and are therefore more prone to interference. You can hear the influence of the power mains in the loudspeaker, especially near the "zero beat" (lowest pitch) when such interference is most detectable. Try a 206E theremin for much better results.
A normal theremin is pretty hard to tune even moving a bottle off the table can affect the tuning. Needless to say I think the theremin is a hands free experience
Im so glad I found your channel! This is all so interesting. Im really basic with my instruments but i love trying out new ones and can experience that through you lolol
actually you can play very beautifully with it! I know little about it but I felt in love with this instrument when I heard clair de lune played with it
I'm not familiar with keyboard volume pedals. But I'm sure a guitar pedal would work. They do make volume pedals for guitars too... it would be cool to try some echo loops and wah wah pedals on a theramin.
Take it to a retirement home and look for an old musician with Parkinson's disease. Not only will it sound really cool, but you will probably make this person's day!
"I'm here to make noise, and noise I shall make"
out of all the instruments he reviewed in the past i think this is the instrument he plays best
And I still played it badly, so that's saying something
@@LOOTd indeed, it says that, y'know, the instrument sucks. :)

@@KindagoodAtguitar for real!

As a musician I can say, you could definitely play a melody on that

This man has the supernatural ability to play smoke on the water on literally anything wtf
It's a curse
@@LOOTd oof

" Ah.. The best sound, a theremin turning off"
😂 I laughed way to hard at that. And for that you've earned my subscription!
actually you can play very beautifully with it! I know little about it but I felt in love with this instrument when I heard clair de lune played with it
Full sized Theremins, yes, but not sure this one has what it takes to have Clair de Lune played on it
How to get the sound and best advice to buy a good one that doesn't cost an arm ? Also any links?
This is basically how metal detectors work when you sweep them across the ground. INTERESTING
Why are you so underrated
Any chance of tabs for what you played?
I'm digging the pup shirt
This guy deserves millions of subs
I randomly clicked on the section "It's like im watching the TT", so i decided to watch this entirely
I love you Charles. You are destroying everything you touch. I imagine you with a proper harp. How much damage can you inflict?!?
Thank you. I know they have foot volume pedals for keyboards would that work. Thanks again for the fun.
I'm not familiar with keyboard volume pedals. But I'm sure a guitar pedal would work. They do make volume pedals for guitars too... it would be cool to try some echo loops and wah wah pedals on a theramin.
Hey what’s that track playing at 5:34 please?
Never gets boring in this channel ❤
I cracked up at the TT bit. 🤣
ive got one to annoy the cat when he walks past it
Would it work with a vox amplug AC30 and aux to my monitors?
What the heck were you proving with the hand shacking at 7m30s?
wow! i love the mix of music and performance! interesting idea to make separation in the notes too
Would love a theremin! They look so fun 😃

Can you use it with a talk box?
thumbs up for the isle of man TT footage XD
Where can I get this
He's actually kind of good with this instrument.
why are you so underrated tho?
Did you ever give the brand name of this theremin?
You can use a volume pedal and then you have a full Theremin :) Great video
where is the smoke no the whater cover?
Just found your channel while looking at theremin vids and I’m digging the PUP shirt
Can it work with the antenna folded all the way back ?
As fun as this seems, I'm still wondering how you can make music with this thing
Check out Rob Scallon's video on the theremin with Carolina Eyck!
Hey love yor work
Great Job. Great Video!
With this theremin can you just manage the tone and not the volume right?
F for Peavey :(
Those sound effects were on point tho
Hey where did you get that one from I would like to know if I can buy it
This is totally BADASS...sell me one....and another one for my grandson...
Old Amp Shall Be Missed..

“Pheromone”
i don't know a lot about the theremin, so do you necessarily have to connect it to an amp?
thanks (:
I love it's design
I think I have to get one, this looks incredibly fun 🤣 a way to annoy the neighbors
Was it smoke on the water?
It’s Sooty!!!! Someone’s murdering sooty! 😂
Yes! I asked for this
Put a multifx before amp (with pedal volume) and you have the ultimate air guitar
where is your english from ?
I tried watching the video... But the lack of symmetry caused by the fact that only you left ear has a plug in it kept distracting me.
A theremin that has NO volume antenna is not even an instrument but just an ordinary noisemaker.
Pup is a great band!!
If you want to see thist theremin in song, it has shor solo in Daniel landa-blanický manifest
I can hear Plug in Baby 😂
i cant believe that you dont have a million subs!
Rip old amp, you will surely be missed
this is a pitch theremin just like the one jimmy page used in LZ
I have the Moog …👍🏻🎶👍🏻
Its weird how few views these videos get
lots of fun but ....does not sound like a sine wave to me .
13th! Checkmate people who are afraid of the number 13
Can you try it with autotune?
Take it to a retirement home and look for an old musician with Parkinson's disease. Not only will it sound really cool, but you will probably make this person's day!
1 minute of silence for the peavey.
2:33 Like 😅😅😅😅
I want one of those
Why are you guys getting even less views now?
Im making a 3d theramin using a 3d lidar. should cost roughly 15$
A hundred dollars. You got hosed...hosser!
I took a s__t today right in the microwave
SHOUT OUT TO THE ISLE OF MAN TT 🇮🇲

VOX. I approve. :)
Longest emotional fart I've ever heard
I haven’t watched the video yet but I’m guessing he going to try and play turning Japanese on it
lol 100$? i litterally did the same thing with my old radio in early 90th, when i was like 6, or something )
FROZEN MAN WAS HERE. .......
why does this have 500 likes? it should have 10k!!
No volume antenna ?? Disappointing.
The cooler otamatone
You gotta pray for me..
It’s been all day for me …
A volume pedal probably would of been useful.
Korg monotron delay and a Termine
I have a fender amp and it’s 15 years old lol
This would be better with proper effects and a volume pedal
Try Angklung.
Moog is pronounced like Vogue
