Man, that's a beautiful spot and beautifully filmed too!
Cheers Robert
Hi Jason, ya the picture and sound is great on that camera. I am doing day hikes and camping in camping ground.
New beginner. Best be safe out there.
Good idea Michael, test the gear and enjoy it 🙌
Opening montage is great. Leave no Trace even better.
Cheers Rob
Good little video, Jason. Thank you!
Cheers Peter 👍
Thankyou for your lovely video , I especially loved the carpet of bluebells and the way you captured the sun just coming through the trees
A very peaceful and enjoyable video
You should try geocaching in your area it will take you to some hidden gems of places you wouldn’t otherwise discover
Happy travels from Scotland
Glad you enjoyed it and thank you for suggesting geocaching. It is something that
I hadn't considered before. Thank you for watching 🍀
Great video Jason , beautiful surroundings. That’s what it’s all about. Keep the content coming , atb Tony 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
Cheers Tony 🍀
Class video as always lad. Nothing like the Irish woodland in summer. I'm jealous of that camera.
The bluebells were unreal, hopefully I'll catch some more of this nice weather for a camp before it buggers off 😄
Suffered a small moment of panic when you mentioned forgetting fuel, but then you were soon making tea w/ the iso butane. You would love the Pacific Crest Trail here in Oregonshire!
😂 that would have ruined my day. An alcohol stove would have been nicer but hey ho. Oh yeah I've seen videos of the PCT. It looks unreal
Thanks for another great video Jason the sound and colour in that camera are excellent, very sharp.
Thanks a mill Olive 🍀
Another great video Jason. Really enjoyable as always.
I don't know anything about cameras, but the video looked great and you got some beautiful shots. It's really clear and detailed and the sound seems spot on to me.
It really got me when you said about being careful not to break any bluebells you were walking through...when your kids watch your videos in time to come they'll be reminded what a kind and decent bloke their dad is.
Looking forward to the next instalment.
I hope they read your comment, thank you for saying that. No bluebells were harmed in the making of this video 😄
Great video Jason and what a location👍 Camera shots were excellent on my tv 👍 Sunshine was an added bonus for you too. Look forward to the next update have a great week 😀👍
Savage thanks Lee, I'm sure I look scary on the big screen 🤣
@@RamblingOn HD and cinema sound 😂😂 What could go wrong Jason 👍😂
Well filmed Jason. Keep em brewing mate 👍
Cheers Wayne 👍
You've got me looking up the camera, seems like a nice one. Of course, with such beauty to film it would be hard not to get some good video. Thanks for taking the time and making the effort to carry out the trash.
The woodland did make it pretty handy to get some good footage. Ah sure it was no hassle, I'd rather not leave them there 🍀
Enjoying that vid as always do Jason. Best of luck with your new camera...
Thanks George 👍
Hey Jason, Nice video! I want to thank you for your recommendation of the Crazy Creek chair! I ordered one in the green colour. It arrived a few days ago and I took it out last night with my son for a wild camp and am so happy with it, Flipping awesome bit of kit so thanks again! Always enjoy your videos! All the best, Adrian
Ah that's class, no worries at all. I'm delighted to hear that so thank you for letting me know. Hopefully your son doesn't nick it on you the next time you are out 😄
Great wee video. Pic good the sound real good !! 👍
Savage, thanks Paddy 👍
Beautiful surroundings Jason, footage looked great to me mate 👍
Sound, thanks a mill Mick 🙌
Gunna try and view all your vids this week 💪
Thanks a mill, there will be plenty of new ones to follow 🙌
Hi Jason! Gt. video as always and absolutely nothing wrong with the camera or camera work😂👍
Hey Clive thanks a mill 🙌
Excellent little amble thru the woods. I thought the imagery from the new camera was excellent, as is your stewardship. Leave no trace, right.
Thanks Craig, always leave no trace 👍
Camera and the sound on it were great, from what i could tell. I'd be reporting that company for leaving that crap, it's fly tipping basically. Glad you got out of the car and went wandering, looked a nice little wild camping spot too. ATB, look forward to the nest one.
Sound, thanks a mill for the feedback. I reckon I'll be back there soon enough 🤫
Hey Jason, enjoyed your post. The blue bells and wild flowers look beautiful; but to be fair there's no real noticable difference between ur usual filming and this new camera.
As I've mentioned in the past, you do have an artistic eye, and your filming is always well framed, and aesthetically pleasing; so as I said, it's hard to discern this post from your usual posts, quality wise. Hope you're not offended by that!?
A cup of tea in the woods..perfect! The birdsong is so pleasant and I could almost smell sorrel, wild garlic and the smell of damp woods. What a wonderful morning walk.
Though at the beginning of this post, I again caught myself laughing; I am so childish sometimes (more times that I admit). There was a lovely shot of tadpoles swimming in the stream/beck/river..but the sound of the running water sounded like you were having a pee in the stream/beck/river..as I said, soooo immature..🤣 haha.
Great post Jason, as usual! Look forward to the next one!
Take care buddy 😊
I am delighted that you said that because that is why I bought it. I want a small lightweight camera that can hold its own against my bigger camera. Hopefully when use both cameras side by side there will be very minimal noticeable difference.
I'm even hoping that this camera might be good enough to take on multi day hikes, my large camera is very heavy. Thank you for your honesty Tim, spot on 👍
As for the water sound that was all natural 😄 The water ran off a small drop which caused that sound. Funny how the mind works 😄
@@RamblingOn Funny how my mind works 🤣
Great video Jonson 👍
Cheers Anna 🍀
nice one Jason, another nice video. Keep them coming!
Can you recommend any power bank for backpacking if you use one, cheers!
Anker are the best, in my opinion. 10,000mah should be plenty but if you want one to possibly do two days get a 20,000 mah. There's a few options but you can't go wrong with anker. Ugreen are a brand that do great braided fast charge cables if you need them.
Some magnificent scenery there Jason. Keep that camera rolling.👍
Cheers I shall do my best 🍀
I especially liked the camera on close up shots 👍 A lovely spot for a cuppa indeed! Fair play to you for lugging all that stuff back out with you 👏
Camera looks as high def as any to me, well definitely better than a go pro
Cheers Miriam, it would have tormented me if I had left them there 😄
Cheers John
Camera seems a good job Jason, I could be imagining it I think the one inch sensor definitely is an improvement over the GoPro, it handled well in some of those poorly lit areas in the forest. Think you have a good investment there. Love wee spots like that where you hade the brew, makes me wonder who and when that old wall was built! Good on ye for hauling out the containers! ATB!
The 1 inch sensor is 4x bigger than the GoPro so it does retain more detail and it makes it better in low light. Both cameras have there own pro's and cons. I reckon there must have been someone living around there at one point, many many years ago. Take her handy man 🍀
Nice crisp clear footage from the Sony RXO ii - How much did that set ya back!! I got rid of my Hero8, use a Poorman's GoPro from Aldi for slo-mo
The camera alone was about €460 second hand off MPB, but then with the extra battery and charger plus everything else I needed it rocked up to almost €700. The gopro's are a great little camera, I just struggled to match the footage to my other sony camera which is my main camera.
Great first video with that little camera Jason 👌 I'm no expert but wouldn't fault much there now 😊 The rubbish left behind by forest workers pisses me off 🤬 Coillte are a prominent member of the LNT organisation and yet they do nothing to prevent this behaviour that I see!
Also don't beat yourself up about making plans and not completing them. This I am an expert on 🙈 Just do what you enjoy and be aware that many of us have the same struggles. By beating it most of the time and talking about it you are definitely helping others 💪💚🎗️
Cheers Niall, I was pretty happy with it Hopefully it matches the bigger camera so I can use both. I was happy to find some areas totally untouched. Hopefully they don't do any logging down that way anytime soon 🤞
Hadn’t seen that camera mentioned before, was trying to cut down on camera gear reviews, but looks like I’ll be checking out that one now. 😂The dynamic range in the woods looked great, presume it was dark enough in there. Stab looked good also with no corner wobbles. You lined up some lovely shots so any camera would probably have done tbh. Bird sounds were great throughout. Nice vid 👍🏻
😂 that is an expensive rabbit hole to go down, I've been there a few times myself. Honestly the stabilisation isn't great, I had to do some work in the edit to sort it out but over all I'm delighted with it and I know enough to work around it's short comings. Cheers Eddie, really appreciate it 👍
Nice crisp footage. I didn't know there was a new version out. I have aSony ax700 but it's too big to lug around while camping. I used an Insta360 X2 for a while and got fairly decent footage but it's not sharp at the edges. Still you don't miss anything and you can get inteesting shots with horizon-level footage. I got a GP 11 second hand and I like it but it's more work to make sure shots are level and my subject is actually in shot. Biggest downside, no zoom or closeups. If I may ask, what are the pros and cons of your new Sony?
It's not a new camera, it was released in 2019 but since discontinued. Pros: Robust, waterproof, crush proof, 1 inch sensor, shoots in 4k, it has a built in audio input, flip up screen and in my opinion the quality of the footage is class. It also has various picture profiles and a built in time-lapse function.
Cons: Fixed 24mm lens, fixed aperture at f4 (possibly my biggest con), no continuous autofocus, it has image stabilisation but it's nowhere near gopro level. Handheld close ups are very shaky so stabilisation in post processing has to be done to sort that. The battery is tiny but 2 and a charger seems to work, preferably three.
All of the timelapses in my last video were shot on this camera. I haven't had it out enough to see how well it compares to my bigger camera but I absolutely love it and can work around it's limitations. There might be other bits that I have overlooked but this is just off the top of my head. Hopefully it helps
That wee spot of heaven where you had a brew is the place where you could take a lass you're sweet on and fall in love there. Take your wife there mate, get some nice pics of you both. It'll help temper her fury, as you put it, lol.
Thank you for removing that cr*p. Couldn't have been easy. Fair play mate 👍
😄 dragging her out there in the early hours wouldn't do me any favours. She's not an outdoorsy person
@@RamblingOn that got me, I actually lol'd in real life..
Nightmare when yi forget the insect repellant....have a wee look around for some yarrow bud, works better than deet. 🫡
Oh yeah, I was lucky the midges weren't too bad. I'll check it out, cheers Steve 👍
oh it's a plant, interesting 🤔
