Yep, if you see current meta you'll realize thanks to a Japanese Luigi Luigi misses his 0td and then you're essentially at kill % because he can react to your di options if he uses some tilts or his dthrow and even di out doesn't save you cause he can catch it with bair (kinda like Kazuya electric at kill %)
I really wanna know why Lucario Up-B specifically is the one move that breaks the ledge grab rule
Probably an oversight.
Probably an oversight but also probably due to how it works which is kinda weird. Lucario will bounce off a wall if it hits a wall or wall cling if it ends just before he hits a wall so they probably put in something to make sure he grabs the ledge, which idk kinda a stretch since the only reason I know he wall clings is I’ve seen him do it against ledge.
Because his speed goes to the extreme
They said they patched the ledge grab bug or a ledge grab bug out but it's still always been like that weirdly which honestly doesn't surprise me lol
I wonder if that ledgegrab thing also affects greninja. Tarik said during one of his matches at regen he couldn’t fastfall at all

I'm actually the one who discovered the multiple ledge grabs as Lucario, but I guess my submission just never made it in. I sent it like 5 years ago ;w;
Strictly, is possible, the odds of bobombs are rare, but not that low, 0,4%, which means that the odds of 3 successive pulls was 0,0000064% or the same, one fo 15,625 million attemps, in fact very rare but still way higher than some lotteries.
For about as long as they've been keeping their results from us.
The funny part is that I already knew that Lucario could grab the ledge more than 6 times bc of his Up-B. I just didn't know about that fast-fall mechanic...

14:05 Dedede Up-B super-armored the galaga hit, I think. You can see his orientation in the magnifying glass, and then he goes into special fall.
No that wasn't special fall it was an air dodge. In the original clip dedede jumps afterward
I would assume, that the fastfall getting deactivated, is a failsave. If somehow they fucked up, and people can break the 6th ledge grab rule, that's at last a way to counter it.
There's probably a reason for it. It might have been a necessary line of code to end a loop that could occur somewhere else in the game (probably in Adventure Mode).
i actually didn't know that there was a limit of times that you can grab the ledges in ultimate,did they do that first in ultimate or before ????
edit : no it's a smash ultimate thing only,i just tried it in past smash games and there is no limit

Yeah that‘a probably be a glitch. I just saw Sakurai’s video on supervising characters being made, and the amount of work it takes is insane. The fact it took people this long to find such an obscure glitch shows how much polish went into smash.
Oh so some random developer acidentally made a variable that acidentally counts how many ledges you've grabbed (which acidentally resets once you land or take a hit) that acidentally disables your ability to grab which also acidentally disables your ability to fast fall
This series is as good as Ridiculousness. Could go on forever and still be entertaining 😂

I already knew the fact that lucario's up B can bypass the ledge limit, I think it was in one of PK Beats video a couple years ago.
But I didn't know about the fastfall limit. I wonder why it exists. Was it some kind of glitch with fastfalling and bypassing the grabbing ledge limit, and they tried to prevent it by preventing fastfall after you've exceeded the limit?

I just want to comment to say that in the past I disliked one of these videos because the thumbnail/title content was at the end of the video.
