Love your channel brother. A lot of us are watching this on phones and with UA-cam compression. Please tell us what you see on your studio monitor on these kinds of videos. Appreciate you!
Great test man. Once zoomed in, I could tell the GH6 was sharper but it looked artificially so. The GH5S had the least noise but not as sharp as the others. I did notice a shift in color during the low light test at 3600k. The GH5S and Mk2 seemed to go more towards a yellow tint, while the GH6 remained more magenta. Overall the GH6 looked the best even though the sensor is rated lesser than the GH5S. I was surprised by this because I really thought the old GH5S would win.
I think also, the sharpness was down on the profile slightly on the GH5S by accident but it's a bit too sharp otherwise. I'll do a more detailed and more clinical test double-checking everything. The GH6 does look great in this test, they did a great job with it for sure. :)
I think GH5S is still a best choice for video, if you shoot in Low Light situations. On the other hand, GH6 has very great shooting format for video and still photography. But it is a little big for MFT camera. GH5 is a still legend for low budget camera. I think it is not an useless camera. If you have a fast lenses you can use GH5 very easily in low lights situations. I use GH5 still and if I want to change my set up, I dont think use a new MFT camera now. But if, panasonic produce a MFT camera with DUAL ISO like GH5S and Stabilization feature like GH6. I think that it will be the real beast... And I will buy it...
Once you use the GH6 you quickly realize that its much better than the older cameras. Not putting the old cameras down... the GH6 just kills it. To get the best out of the Gh6 you do have to shoot in 5.7 or 5.8k. Then if you need to add noise reduction in post you still get a more detailed image than the other older cameras. Also the 5.7k works outrageously better when you go apply noise reduction, green screen picking, tracking, and many other things. Nothing wrong with the older cameras and you can still get great footage. If the GH5s is a 9.5 the gh6 is a 10. Also to see the main differences you really have to shoot in vlog... remember the GH6 has full vlog while the GH5 and S only have VlogL. Also the Gh6 really does have a duel native ISO setup. 250 and 2000 in VLOG. Iso 1600 is one of the ugliest, lowest dynamic range ISOs on the camera. Go to 2000 ( you should turn on dynamic range boost at this point) and it cleans up dramatically.
@@GeekyNerdyTechy I think is the best choice for now. I have GH5 and Gx80 set up. I have to carry more light when I shoot in indoor. The GH6 looks the sharpest out of the 3. The skin tones also look a little different on the GH6. I have a GH6 and a GH5 and always shoot in V-Log (and used to shoot V-Log L on GH5) and at least with my skin, I prefer how it looks on the GH6 due to in V-log L on the GH5, it tended to make my skin have an ever so slight reddish tint which the GH6 V-Log doesn't have that tint.
At 3200 the gh6 looks significantly better than the gh5s. Much better detail retention and the colors were more pleasing as well. Less noise to my eye too
That`s cuz wrong ISO on GH5S. Native ISO`s for natural profile are 400&2500, 800&5000 for V-log. Use native iso = get reduced noise. Expose properly and forget about mention that "MFT IS BLIND NOISY SYSTEM".
