Thanks for chiming in John! It will be interesting to see how the games go "post-FAQ". Let me know how you like them after a couple games with the new updates.
I was listening to this again and I noticed that you talk about using an 8 pack of hearthguard if you do that you can’t use the bonus dice from the charge activations.
Nice review! Thank you. Question: if I’m using this battleboard with Árpádian Hungarians as described in the AoC rulebook, am I able to use Volley Fire on my unit with composite bows?
Regarding the “Charge” ability. Is it a case of you can have 2 extra attacks with no penalty or add an additional 3 dice to that (to total of 5 extra dice) at the cost of an additional fatigue ? Thank you !
Great video dude. Really loving your content! I hope you do an Anglo-Saxon review soon as I am building my warband currently so I can start playing Saga.
If an enemy already has fatigue or, better yet, is exausted, firing on them with the two auto hits, and having the one that gives a fatigue for a casualty would be nice to soften up an enemy unit before a charge.
That is an interesting question. Battle board-wise, pretty much any would work as you will certainly have aggressive/attack clans, defensive or maneuver based clans, etc. You'd probably need to look more at how the equipment options align with your Samurai. I can see heavy weapons, bows, composite bows and crossbows (counts as handguns) all being used. I can't really imagine javelins, though. So I think any faction that doesn't require javelins would work for you!
Thanks Frank! You should definitely hit up Acon! If you're into miniatures and in the US, it's the best con 'o the year! It's true the A&A factions have been a little off the radar. I'll need to rectify that soon!
Hi David, interesting question! My understanding is they do not generate a fatigue for multiple activation purposes only and that you'd still generate a fatigue for an ensuing combat.
Yeah, I may have an opponent soon but most likely will have to wait til my son gets home from overseas. No biggie though. I’ll have the Saxons completed by then and possibly own a couple of C&C armies by then. Keep the battle reports coming. They are a great learning tool.
The Saga FAQ is available here: www.studio-tomahawk.com/dl/saga2_faq2018_en.pdf. What are your opinions on the clarifications and changes?
William the Conqueror is a BEAST.
A nice update. that matches my experience of playing Normans.

Nope!
@@RodgeRulesJust regular bows. Got it, thx.

Yep!
Please keep these coming. Very keen to see how to play the Carolingians
Thanks for watching Viso! I will keep 'em coming!

Awesome! The Anglo-Saxons are a solid force. It will be a bit yet, but we will be getting to them sooner than most of the other factions!

The Breton character was better before as I recal. It allowed the guys on foot to us mounted abilities.
Interesting! It's a shame they dropped that. An army of foot sloggers doesn't really seem playable without something like that.
Yeah, I only have one box of Conquest cavalry, so it gave me chance to play the Breton board in 1st ed.
What battle board in the crusades book would be most appropriate for Samurai while I wait for their book to come out?

Thank you. I've also eliminated Spanish because Samauri didn't really use cavalry skirmish tactics.
Great video! I'm seriously considering coming to Adepticon. When are you going to do the Late IMPERIAL rOMANS AND/OR THE pICTS?

These abilities that allow to to charge for no fatigue, does the unit still gain fatigue for the ensuing melee?
Hi David, interesting question! My understanding is they do not generate a fatigue for multiple activation purposes only and that you'd still generate a fatigue for an ensuing combat.
I have a Briton (Arthur) and Late Roman army and am painting Early Saxons from Aietus and Arthur.
Three factions already!? That's awesome! Do you have any pics?
I’ve had them for years. Was going to use them for DBA but my friends wouldn’t let go of their 15mm armies.
Well that's rather annoying! You should get some great use out of them for Saga now!

I'm new to version 2 and I am really digging the channel! Looking forward to more v2 board reviews!
Thanks for watching Broskione!
Could you do the Later Byzantines?
Oh yeah! The Last Romans will be happening relatively soon. The Age of Crusades Byzantines will be a while yet.
