As a controller player on console, I would say that some smg's are really easy to use at close range, but when you past 15 to 18 meters the aim assist feels so low and it is hard to hit your shots. You can see this with the scope of shayura's wrath, when it is red you are in aim assist range, when you don't just disengage.
Kinetic Tremors was a lot of fun before it got nerfed, it was basically a SMG malfeasance because after a certain amount of hits they were dead no matter what, but unlike Malfeasance, it was activated every single duel, effectively reducing your ttk like target lock every time. I once got a guy that blocked my line of sight with the barricade and he still died because Kinetic Tremors activated while he was locked into the barricade placement animation. After the nerf, you need to be hitting exclusively bodyshots or you will never see it activate.
Instead of full bore for max range you should try small bore for the added stability, IMO the god roll for max range is: Small bore, Ricochet rounds, well rounded, fragile focus and range masterwork. With all perks active you reach 90 range. You get the additional 10 from the Nadir focus trait when firing the weapon on target plus you would be at 72 stability and 80 handling at the same time. It's currently the best roll that can be gotten for lightweight SMGs in terms of range, stability, and aim assistance.
Also you did the tap smg mag reload thing kind of wrong. You just need to tap it once and continue shooting it will refresh as you shoot. So it allows you to have double mag for engages. So instead of reload in the middle of an engagement you can tap in the middle of shooting and reset the mag.

Hey Walluh, if you want a buttery smooth, high range lightweight SMG that doesn't kick like a damn mule on MnK, like a real posterchild for the best the archetype has to offer, try and hunt down a Out of Bounds, the Arc Omolon one from Crucible. Full Bore, High Cal or Ricochet for 53 or 63 stability after the Foundry perk, Dynamic Sway (or Moving Target or Killing Wind) in 3rd column, and Fragile Focus in 4th column, comes out to an 82 range monster, with a naturally high base AE of 23 second only to Submission from Vow. While unfortunately you'd have to play a ton more crucible to get it focused like Unending Tempest, it's also just the best the archetype has to offer, and it doesn't take up your kinetic slot for exotics. It slots in real well on Hunter specifically too with Renewals, or Foetracer and Bakris builds to ease that crit-body forgiveness further down.
I have a wellrounded target lock roll, have been looking for a fragile focus max range roll but hasn't happened yet. I think its a lot of fun to use but it certainly doesn't seem as good as other option unless you get the perfect roll :^) Fun gun otherwise but the kick does seem crazy at times.

If you thought that cold hearts ttk was nuts try out Tommy’s matchbook, it does almost the same thing but all you have to do is prefire Edit: and all you have to do to cancel out the self damage is just pop a healing rift or just use an enhanced healing nade and you’ll be fine, plus the intrinsic scorch gets you your rift back really fast
I have an overflow target lock and it isn’t good but it’s extremely fun cause you get 74 bullets and I just imagine the enemy being like “does this guy have infinite ammo!!!”

As a controller user recoil and stability is a pretty constant disadvantage compared to mouse and keyboard..plus the aim assist is usually in the same boat cause it does play havoc against you if you wanted to change targets

Exactly what i was going comment. It allows you to do so much more. Even if you miss a couple head shots KT allows you to run away and let it finish the enemy off. It does 80 dmg in a 5m aoe. If they group with team mates it soften them up for multi kills.
Tbh it doesnt feel bad but since i play console i can say that the recoil is up to the user lol its if the user can control it but it is much easier to control
Funnel Web is a waaay better 900. The one i use in PvP has max range @74, perpetual, and rangefinder. It also has 14 zoom rather than 13. It was really good before the rangefinder nerf, but it's still solid.
Since the nerf to the effect of stability the 900s feel terrible without around 50 stability minimum. My max range Multimach with DSR and Iron Reach went from my favourite weapon to sitting in the vault. I understand what Bungie are trying to do, but these stability changes have made a lot of weapons feel awful to use. A lot of my pulses are garbage now, and this is on M&K. One of the only things Destiny 2 has going for it is how good the gunplay is compared to other games. Now Bungie are ruining even that. On top of the movement nerfs they are just driving people away, they don’t seem to understand why people play D2.
destiny can be better then cod completely in pvp if they do 3 things. Make the games longer, make revive back to spawn quicker, and let everything be overpowered. It’s gonna be horrible at first but people will slowly adapt and change to how everything plays. also since you respond back so quickly most people wouldn’t be thinking about how stupid they died. also i forgot one last thing make it 10v10 the maps are huge, it’ll force people to move around more and less campers. everyone will be forced to get good
This is getting really annoying at this point. If they want to keep smgs in the game like this, just buff every other weapon. Make scouts better, give them more handling. Give more damage to pulses, let 140 hc 2 headshot 1 bodyshot and so on, buff everything, make the game like d1. People can argue all day long that the games are really different, in terms of abilities yes but when it comes to weapons smgs are the only weapons that are the same as 900 rpm auto rifles from d1. They had thorn in a really nice spot for a few weeks then they nerfed it, come on, take smgs out of the game already or nerf them like every other weapon

mini tool just feels terrible to me. Maybe it's the low recoil direction but it feels like it kicks everywhere.
Use it with mida multi tool too and you get the extra speed buffs to compensate for the pk nerfs

I have a dynamic sway+fragile focus roll with range masterwork. Ricochet rounds and full bore/small bore. It’s a fun gun to goof around with.
prolonged engagement is a vanguard smg and has better recoil with 95. it can get rangefinder also.
Chroma rush has 28m max range and rolls kill clip dynamic sway :) Its a bullet hose with .4 ttk (i think?)

They destroyed kinetic tremors in PvP. It takes like 14 bullets to proc, so unless you're hitting all body shots you'll never even see it.

Funnelweb is great. On controller I'd say 600 Rpm smgs are the easiest to use
The smg’s recoil sucks so bad, no matter the perks and stability etc. Nothing worked for me, everything else felt much better.
