Hey guys, I just uploaded and updated version of thie video. It is a bit more informative!
ua-cam.com/video/XqgWPdBYx_U/v-deo.html
Justin Buice sister
Hey Justin, how many quarts of oil do we add?
Justin Buice Hey bud how are you and i have questions i want to change my bmw 325i e90 2006 Differential fluid which is 75W-90 but if u may know how much Quarts does e90 take 1 or 2 Quartz and also the Main bolts holding the diff face what are the FT pound Torque ? But i might just pump out old fluid then pump in new.
You should do a video on changing your gearbox oil too.
J05ephx That would be nice and since its my passion 👌🙌
Holy shit, I’ve seen so many different like videos about changing oil and this man was straight and to the point 10/10
yes agreed
You should put the oil filter into the cap and push down until it clicks and has a little play. Not put the filter in the housing first. Other than that great video. I enjoy your vids.
dang, thought it was going to be harder, but the extra steps are very simple. Nice video Justin. Thanks
+JimsReviewRoom yeah its pretty much the same as any other cay besides the gaskets on the oil filter. Shouldnt take more than 20 minutes
JimsReviewRoom I
You own an e90? If you do that's awesome!!
Wait is it? No need to remove the cover? Nice.. but coolant still needs to?
Im goin to domi today tired of paying 180$
I got a used (great condition) 2004 bmw 530I and I found you on UA-cam like a month ago and ever since I go to you for everything that has to do with my bmw, you give the best advice and show step by step. You’re honestly a great UA-camr/bmw owner and hope you keep up the good work man! Thanks a lot
You are right on about the made in Germany designation! I only trust euro spec oil in my E90. I usually go with the castrol or mobile 1 myself.
Bro I don’t even have an bmw yet and after watching this i have to have it 💯😂💪🏽
@Justine Buice... I just bought a certified pre-owned 535i GT. I'm gonna try this myself. I've changed oil in my Sonata and Azera. For some reason I have felt incapable of even looking under the hood of the BMW. It's setup like they don't want you to touch it. Thanks for this empowering video!
Lol I wish I had a car to change the oil for
also amazing editing
Thank you!
love your videos, if you cant tell from the mass commenting I've done today.
I had a similar jack but when I bought this car it was lowered and I couldn't get under it with it. I upgraded to a much larger, low-pro jack. It was about $200 CAD. And well worth it. It's easier to operate due to a larger pad and better leverage from a longer handle. I feel safer working around my car.
FWIW oil changes are the one thing I don't mind paying for. It's messy and tedious. And historically I don't feel like I saved all that much money versus the effort (getting parts, disposing of oil, etc). And it only has to be done once a year based on how little distance I drive.
I had a 3 year leased BMW and spent $1.27 on that car. Now I have a used M535i gonna do oil change this weekend. Looks like the oil/filter is gonna be $40-45 roughly. Great videos. Port Huron, MI is where I grew up. Now in Florida.
watched a few of your vids before concluding this is one of the most useful channels while in the market for a used car..def deserve more subs..SUBBED
+MrGivearatsass thank you!
Usually people who own bmws seem to be jerks but you’re chill way of explaining made me suscribe thanks for the video!
Because of you I bought my 06’ 325i and I was hesitating because of the maintenance but you sir have made me feel much more comfortable about owing a BMW. As long as you take care of her she’s no problem. Keep doing your thing bro👊🏻
Thanks I appreciate it!
Hey bro i have a 325i same color i was hoping i could get some advice from you about it
Easiest oil filter change I’ve seen ! Thanks for sharing Justin!
Thanks for getting back to me so quickly I wish you owned a F10 can't find any videos on 5 series as good as yours
My E90 has been using Pennzoil 5W-30 full synthetic for 15 years. It likes the taste.
Amazing, this guy is a genius! Thanks man!! I'll change my oil from now on
Great Video! Like you, I always take pride in servicing my own cars, which includes brakes, oil, cv joints, tran fluid, etc. For Safety and body mechanics, purchase a better jack and a oil drain pain (most separate the plug from the oil). You should also install the filter on the base once you install the gaskets, then install it. Purchase the oil filter tool to remove and install the oil filter. Oil Filter housing screw and oil pan plug should also be torqued to required specs with a torque wrench. My 2017 M3 is still under included Ultimate Service Warranty, but I will service it once it expires.
you earned a subscriber with your straight to the point videos please don't change up bro!!!
The videos are extremely helpful man. Thanks for all the work time and information you've put in to them.
+Christopher Hill Jr I'm glad I could help :)
I thought bmws were supposed to be more complicated to do things but that drain plug and filter are remarkably easy to access
Thank you so much!!! for uploading this video, now I know how to do it, without having to pay a small fortune every time my car needs it.
Hey dude. I love watching your BMW videos. I will be getting my own BMW(2 series... either m235i, 228i) after I am done paying for my current car. I will be referring to your videos to help me get started. Thanks in advance dude.
very easy and very useful
Thanks Justin
Dude you just saved me a lot of money. 😃👍🏽. God bless you man!
Great video! Make sure that when you put the oil cap on you don't over torque it because it could cause the cartridge in the center to snap off! If you have an N54 or N52 don't worry about it and stick it back on, but a few models it can not reattach. I made a video about this issue because a lot of people don't know the problems it can cause.
quality 👌 i use mobil 1 0w-40 fully synthetic euro formula, thats the only euro formula we have in stock that is affordable here in oregon, castrol is also good, i trust them both
you should always use a torque wrench to tighten oil filter housing cap and drain plug. also make sure whatever oil you are using matches BMW REQUIREMENT SPECS. Like LONG LIFE 1 (LLO1) make sure that you are safe and the way you have raised your car is safe.
Great video you show how to save so much money owning a bmw and doing maintance yourself thanks for the videos very helpful
I like your video you show us step by step to do oil change and filter. good job!
I’m so in love with your car man it’s so freaking sick😤😍
Thanks bro. I am saving ton of money doing DIY on my e90.

thanks for the video just got a 06 325i and I will have to change the oil soon
very simple and well explained...thanks
Im glad i found you. just bought the same car and was worried it'd be a nightmare to change my own oil.
remember to use rubber gloves next time :) used engine oil is very bad your body.
AndersDog94 good tip
AndersDog94 Been changing it without gloves for 25 years & no issues
Scott Rowan they are hippies aka libtards
AndersDog94 That would help!
No he's right, petroleum isn't good and absorbs into your skin. Any issues wouldn't arise until you're much older. Brake dust is the worst though and I would wear a mask or resp while doing brakes. Now I've done thousands of changes without gloves as a mechanic but honestly it's much better to use nitritle gloves mostly to keep your hands clean for when you need to touch things you don't want to dirty. The protection is just a bonus.
He makes it look so easy. I’m going to try it
Great video, I have a 328i ‘08 too.
Hey Justin. Going to use this video as a guide when I change my oil pretty soon on my bmw 328xi. Your videos are very good! Thank you. :)
Glad I could help!
keep the good videos coming.
Thanks!
SUPER EASY.....THANKS FOR SHARING
Thanks man! Super useful!
Great job! But to hints 1) I like to put a rag next to the funnel that way when I remove it the oil cause right on the phone and not on the engine. Hint #2 leave the oil cap open before removing the oil plug go make the oil flow a lot easier and hold on to the plug Don't Let It Drop into the oil pan next time..lol
So easy great video
Hey justin, thanks for the great video. Just one thing, BMW oem oil and manual recommends SAE 5W30. That is the one I use for my 2010 325i. Why did you decide to use 0W40 instead? Thanks.
I look forward to these every day Hahahah
+Kevin Goodwin I appreciate it!

Thank you sir for posting 👍 excellent information!
Glad I could help!
Looks easy to do. I've paid 90 for that.
Do u think it's the same procedure for the 328 I 2010?
I've been looking for a vid to show how to change oil on a 3 series! I'm sure its the same procedure for a 2010 328i...i also got a straight 6 in mine.... appreciate the video!
Yeah it's pretty much the same, just check the manual to confirm the correct amount of oil
What's the name of the rims you have on your BMW (brand) ??
How tight should we tighten the oil filter so it doesn't leak? Also noticed there is numbers on top of the oil filter cap, what do those mean?
