Lets be honest here for one second, Japan is just on a totally different level than most 90% of the world and I don't mean for the obvious differences we have. They just have their ways of making thing pure and awesome without being totally douchey.
Also kudos for your sound mic picking up the wind sort of waving through the trees, I currently live out in the desert and that sound is most refreshing.
Kyde is a big fan of in-n-out isn't she? You can order a "protein-style" burger from them, and basically they just take off the buns and wrap it in lettuce.
Going to make one at home now since it is tomato season :) You guys should rename this play list as Burger Quest or Burger Time in homage to the vintage video game.
Thanks for all your videos on life in Japan. I always wanted to visit the country but never have the chance to. At least now I can "experience" it through your interesting clips. Domo arigato! :) God bless
When I first saw the burger I thought "Oh that looks very hard to eat!" but I hoped the paper might save it. At least one of you escaped unscathed! It's a very brave burger on Mos' part
I think you nailed it with Mos Burger, Eric. When I had it, I always felt like it wasn't enough. In and out or Super Duper in America has the same sized burger as Mos Burger, maybe slightly bigger but those after one, you're good, especially Super Duper which is almost too much. It's quite interesting when I was in Japan, there was a Mos Burger around the corner from the hostel we stayed at in Osaka but only went there once but the McDonald's that was three blocks away, we went there more often.
Interesting idea. While I was watching this. I made my evening juice combo of organic beet, green apple, carrot, red bell pepper & purple cabbage that is added to organic unsweetened soy milk, chia seeds, organic Tahini & flax 'flour'. I put it into a large liquid mixing bowl with a lip for pouring. I just love this stuff. It ends up being like between a quart and 1/2 gallon of liquid. Tasty and filling. Completely packed with nutrients, fiber & good fats. I drink it within 20 minutes of making it, after I clean my juicer of course. Jack Lelane Juicer rules!
5:45 If you want to cut a tomato, use a serrated knife (like a bread knife or something similar) works a billion times better. (just found this out recently) just had tacos the other night and cut it that way and the difference is amazing. Other knifes just seem to squash it and squirt the guts out.
Ok but have you ever gotten a fresh Hanover tomato cut a thick slice and sprinkled a little salt and sugar on it? Best refreshing summertime snack EVER
Great video, I LOOOVE tomatoes as much as Katie. And I eat gluten free so this burger would be amazing, I can't believe I never thought of this myself!
Sounds like their experimental store. Every chain has an outlet or two that does the experimental test marketing. There is one for a Canadian burger chain called Harvey's that I visited by accident once. It had totally unheard of items like a Caribbean burger with Jerk chicken patty and mango based sauce. It was pretty good actually but I guess it didn't test well because it never made it to their regular stores.
ikaruseijin01 Where is that store? Is it in Ontario? I love trying new burgers. The only innovation the Harvey's in Aurora (where I live) has is that they don't fill up the milkshake cups as much as I want.
It was on Yonge street in Toronto. I was visiting a friend there, I had some free time and as such I wandering around. I checked out the Ryerson campus, then walked northwest and met Yonge street and found a Harvey's. It had several odd items on the menu and I asked about them since maybe that's the Ontario menu versus the Quebec one. They told me openly that they were test items that they try out on the market... "we always have a few experimental items going at any given time" they said cheerfully. It was awhile ago I have no idea if they still have their test store there, but Yonge street, north and west of Ryerson University... there's ought to be a Harvey's in the vicinity, and that should be it, assuming they still do their testing there.
OMGSH this is perfect! I hope they will still have it when I plan on going may next year! This is so funny! My boyfriend HATES tomato... I might just have to do this to him just to see his reaction!!
As soon as I saw what you guys ordered I thought "damn, I have to try making that at home", but you guys were sooooooo harsh in your review now I'm scared I'll just waste a tomato...
I love basil, mozzarella, and balsamic vinaigrette, but too much tomato for me. I had a bad experience when I was young, so I kind of have a food aversion to tomato. It's a really interesting concept. Thanks for sharing it with us!
IrishLincoln I typically do like mozzarella and such, but in this case it was basically flavorless. Japan does not really do cheese well most of the time. -Eric
What drink?? Tomato juce?? I love Tomato too ❤ 夏野菜(summer vegetables) are loved japanese people in summer Japan! 夏野菜=ex. Tomato. eggplant (茄子).green pepper (ピーマン).etc.... beacuse these vegetables are best in summer in japan.
Last year, I tried hard to cut down on my carbs....but I certainly didn't want to give up hamburgers. For a while, I got used to eating bunless hamburgers. I either wrapped them in lettuce leaves, or stacked up the toppings on the plate and ate them with a fork (it was kind of a Seinfeld, "how do you eat your candy bar? With your hands?" moment.) For a while I liked that.
I think since they took away the bread on the burger if they had added some crumbled croutons for crunch and a bit of a bread that might be good and round it off ? maybe ? I am writing you guys on my sons youtube account by the way I am Melissa and I just love all of you guys videos !
I'm deathly allergic to tomatoes... so I can never eat this, but i love eating burgers without buns, so I reeeeaaallly wish I could try this DX Thanks for the video though! no matter what it is, I am always hungry after.
Honestly a tomato burger would only work if it was grilled and had some pretty good thick sauce on it and lots of cheese. The tomato is raw so I think it's more of like a salad.
I've tried a fast food burger with lettuce for the buns (Carl's Jr.) and I thought it was not too bad, but I don't think I could handle that much tomato. Interesting concept though.
You know what they should do!? Cut a potato into thick slices and fry it, like a giant french fry bun. I think that would be pretty cool. Or even giant waffle fry buns, and preferably using Chick Fil A waffle fry flavor. Edit: I posted that comment before finishing the whole video and you guys just mentioned fries lol.
That list of rules reminded me of the Soup Nazi from Seindfeld. The burger was pretty, but bro you basically paid for a salad you eat with your hands : )
Oukoyami Hahaha, yea, it was a salad with a little bit of meat. -Eric

I'm shocked they didn't put any soy sauce or any other japanese-type of flavor in that "hamburger". Seemed more like a refreshing Mediterranean food I would eat with fork and knife. Still good idea with the rice thing. You guys would totally get rich from that idea.
So they use tomatoes instead of bread. You ever been to In-N-Out? Order a Double Double Protein Style. You get lettuce instead of bread. Ohhh so crazy. Personally, I'd love to try this burger, if the tomatoes are good, it's going to be a good burger.
Kyde and Eric that's cool I love watching your videos and I love how Kyde spells her name its so different from mine I spell mine Katie lol the normal boring way lol
weeeeeeeeeeeeeweeewooweeoweeooooreeeeeeeeew~ weeeeeeeeeeeeeweeewooweeoweeooooreeeeeeeeew~ weeeeeeeeeeeeeweeewooweeoweeooooreeeeeeeeew~ 4:48 Sounds like a bird being electrocuted by a WAH pedal. Ask eric if hes ever plugged his guitar into a bird.
Tomato patty salad is maybe a better description. I've been to Mos Burger a couple if times but I think the fries are very greasy and the burgers are small, not good.
Tomatos are still extremely unappealing to me, nearly a year later. Lol. I think it's just the texture, like how you bite it and the inside gushes out and ugghghghghgghghgh. *Shudders* Mos Burger why.
That burger looked so good until u said it was tomato buns. If I was forced to eat it I would literally spit it out in like a second. There was a taste test thing and I thought it was salsa but it was pure bits of tomato and I spat it out in front of everyone and got really embarrassed xD
I would not have that. This an example of ideas where the idea sounds good but the result taste crap. Who haven't invented stuff in their kitchen? Glad you ate though and not me, that's why I keep you:) The salad looked boring even from over, a tomato salad to a tomato burger? CEO Kimoto you have some people fire. So Kyde was right. Eric was not though, the bright idea with bread inside instead of tomato (yay) is so bad. A tiny piece of soggy bread change the meal? The half-bread was better but a tomato is overpowering. Apart from the food it was a good video though.
As someone who grew up on an organic farm that grew all kinds of organic tomatoes, I will say that all store and fast food tomatoes are HORRIBLE! Though I would be curious how Japans Store and Fast Food tomatoes compare to organically grown tomatoes? Most people don't even have any idea what real tomatoes taste like!
Thanks for all your videos on life in Japan. I always wanted to visit the country but never have the chance to. At least now I can "experience" it through your interesting clips. Domo arigato! :) God bless

FDSeoul San Diego Hahaha, true!
Eric's burger eating game strong.
[chirping intensifies]
thejessta Hahaha. Stupid bugs. -Eric
Kyde and Eric I think it sounded nice. I'm sure you guys get sick of it, but we don't really have that sound here in Southern California. :)
Also kudos for your sound mic picking up the wind sort of waving through the trees, I currently live out in the desert and that sound is most refreshing.
In a desert?)
caprese is the word you're looking for
Yeah, I kept yelling "caprese" at this video.
DuDuHead Thank you. I was like "what the hell is the name for that...I should know this".
+Ware Florida haha Same!
Kyde is a big fan of in-n-out isn't she? You can order a "protein-style" burger from them, and basically they just take off the buns and wrap it in lettuce.
touchmenot films Yea, she liked it a lot when she had it a few years ago. That actually doesn't sound too bad, either. -Eric
I love that you guys love to try new and interesting food items that come out! And especially that you make videos about them! ❤️🍔🍅🍜🍱🍟❤️
mpedrak Thanks so much! Glad you enjoy them! More to come! -Eric
15:50 , that Cicada is over 9000+ !
Ahmed Usul Haha, yea. Stupid bugs. -Eric
Ahmed Usul those aholes used to whizz past me and crash into me when I used to cut the grass at my old house. Hated them!
Lol, this was a really fun one, what with having Kyde being blindfolded and all. Her reaction was great xD
keandric 2 Haha, yea, it was pure coincidence she had just bought that sleep mask! -Eric
wow I've never been so surprised by the look of a burger until now and I've seen some strange looking burgers thanks Kyde and Eric lol :)
nicksynet Hhahaa. -Eric
I am not much of a bread fan so that looks and sounds incredible!! This is a great carb reduced burger....
As always thank you for a great video!!
Alicia Becker You are welcome! -Eric
Them cicada were incredible! Cool concept for a burger. Good video guys
Supaman1982 Haha, the cicada kinda get old, haha. -Eric
I'm sure Kyde is used to it. I grew up in VA and the cicadas were bad there in the summer to and they have this nasty smell to them. Gah. So gross
Tricia Warren Oh weird, I haven't noticed a smell on them here. Gross. -Eric
Going to make one at home now since it is tomato season :) You guys should rename this play list as Burger Quest or Burger Time in homage to the vintage video game.

why do i love their fast food videos so much
Alayna Currey Hahaha, no idea! Glad you do, though! -Eric
they are so entertaining and interesting to see things that we don't have here in america!! please keep making more!! these videos are my favorite!!
Alayna Currey Will do! -Eric
Whoa, now that's about the most unusual burger ever.
I have the same sleeping mask! Daisooo!
Kakibot Hahahahahaha.
I love how kyde left the blindfold on her head haha
Amanda Figueroa Hahhaa.
When I first saw the burger I thought "Oh that looks very hard to eat!" but I hoped the paper might save it. At least one of you escaped unscathed! It's a very brave burger on Mos' part
zquaitte Yea, I doubt it will become a mainstream thing at their stores. -Eric
interesting burger.. if you could create a burger what would u add on it
I think you nailed it with Mos Burger, Eric. When I had it, I always felt like it wasn't enough. 5:05 - I think it's called Capreze, although I'm certain I butchered the spelling.

I live in Richmond, Virginia and Hanover tomatoes ARE the best!
i love a fresh tomato. im actually growing some and when they are ready im gonna try doing that:) great idea
steve s Nice! -Eric
Ok but have you ever gotten a fresh Hanover tomato cut a thick slice and sprinkled a little salt and sugar on it? Best refreshing summertime snack EVER
Oh yea, Kyde loves hanover tomatoes. -E
Kyde and Eric man I’m craving one now to bad it’s the middle of winter with snow on the ground 🤣
Great video, I LOOOVE tomatoes as much as Katie. And I eat gluten free so this burger would be amazing, I can't believe I never thought of this myself!
allyvv89 Wouldn't be too hard to try at home! -Eric
I would like to have another one...love tomatoes love them yes I made something like that before
Shit though that looks REALLY good... now I need to make it at home.
Kenzie Alexander Wouldn't be too hard, good luck finding a good tomato! -Eric
Kyde and Eric That's the biggest issue I could see, yeah.
To the farmer's market!
That burger is definitely a one time thing to eat
WF4L Agreed! -Eric

Yessss as a fellow virginian I can tell you FO' SHO' that Hanover tomatoes are the greatest tomatoes on this earth.
+AnnieGraham Yes!!
I think they should make a double fried plantain burger, use the fried plantain patty in place of the bread.
I noticed the tattoos Eric has. I've heard that tattoos are a no-no in Japan. Have you had any negative experiences? Or do you normally cover them?
OMGSH this is perfect! I hope they will still have it when I plan on going may next year! This is so funny! My boyfriend HATES tomato... I might just have to do this to him just to see his reaction!!
angel67lver Specials like this don't tend to last too long, might have to make it at home! -Eric
Kyde, You wear your food well!
portercbl Haha, she has tons of experience. -Eric
As soon as I saw what you guys ordered I thought "damn, I have to try making that at home", but you guys were sooooooo harsh in your review now I'm scared I'll just waste a tomato...
Joe Blow Hahahha. -Eric
I am up for MOS, if I can eat a burger wrapped in lettucce why not in tomatoes? Does it come with ketchup?
+Octavio Navarro God, that last thing it needs is more tomato flavor. Haha. -E
-Eric
I liked this video. I'm giving up rice, corn etc... I'm already gluten free so this gives me an idea for a burger with no bun!
colleen JAY Good luck finding the perfect tomato! It'll be important! -Eric
Kyde and Eric lol. Ya. We get really bland ones here most of the time.... I think I'll scoup the flesh out and try it that way
Very interesting burger! I would have cut it up, put it in a bowl and added some croutons lol
AnimeStarwind Some croutons would have helped for sure! -Eric
What drink?? Tomato juce?? I love Tomato too ❤
夏野菜(summer vegetables) are loved japanese people in summer Japan!

mustangrebus In lettuce actually sounds pretty good! -Eric
Eric didn't get messy when eating the burger because his 1 bite is like 3x Kyde bites. :-)
Ya'll might have already this, but what is that song that Ya'll use when Ya'll are riding bikes and stuff?
Click on the description the link for the song is there.
I think since they took away the bread on the burger if they had added some crumbled croutons for crunch and a bit of a bread that might be good and round it off ? maybe ? I am writing you guys on my sons youtube account by the way I am Melissa and I just love all of you guys videos !
Christopher Oneal haha, thanks Melissa! Some sort of bread product would have helped, that's for sure! -Eric
Is mosburger a large company with locations all over Japan? Plus I love you.
Yea, all over Asia, actually. I think they are in Hawaii too! -Eric
Kyde and Eric very cool, I did not know that!
Ya crispy fries and grill the tomato!
I've tried a fast food burger with lettuce for the buns (Carl's Jr.) and I thought it was not too bad, but I don't think I could handle that much tomato. Interesting concept though.
electricmonk71 Yea, lettuce makes way more sense as it's not as strong of a flavor. -Eric
That's a huge tomato! It's it a parody on the aka samurai burger?
The NerdyExplorer I think it's just a coincidence. -Eric
How about a nice hash brown in the middle? That could be awesome! Ah, you guys got there later in the video!
Mark Swarthout Yea, good idea! Great minds! -Eric
I always pronounced it "moss burger", while my friend pronounces it "Moe's burger".
CNVideos The katakana the company uses is Moe's, basically. 「モスバーガー」
I think it should have two patties to balance the ratio and instead of the tomato salad they give garlic bread sticks
ghaida h Perfect ideas!
+TheGoldenSaber Great minds! -Eric
The salad is called a caprese salad. :)
Francisco Araújo All we need is a burger chain to own! How hard can it be? -Eric
Moss burger is healthy than mc Donald's but moss is too small and little expensive I feel when in Japan !!!!!
Thanks for the vid guys !!!!!
astroboy3507 Agreed! -Eric
That cicadas sound is soo anime.
+Ksensei41 Hahaha.
How about cucumber (replacing the bun) with hotdog???
cevindevy Hahahah, sounds...better than my idea! -Eric
Great video but I haaaate tomatoes but oddly enough I like ketchup and tomato soup.
Ugh that's disgusting. Yes I can only eat them on Burgers and Pizza too.
lbonini1gaming I like them, but typically can't eat tomato soup. -Eric
Love to try that tomato burger yammmeee!!!!😊😁😀
alvaro serrano WOuldn't be too hard to make at home! -Eric
it needs some melted pepper jack cheese
Oh man those cicadas at the start sound EXACTLY like the ones in neon genesis evangelion!!!
Designandrew Hahahah
how about a thicker burger ?
So they use tomatoes instead of bread. You ever been to In-N-Out? Order a Double Double Protein Style. You get lettuce instead of bread. Ohhh so crazy.
Personally, I'd love to try this burger, if the tomatoes are good, it's going to be a good burger.
+kicktotheballs Lettuce-buns actually sounds pretty legit! -Eric
The salad is an Italian salad called caprese and it is very delicious
ICE HEART QUEEN I see how it could be, but it didn't do it for us at Mos Burger. -Eric
Kyde and Eric that's cool I love watching your videos and I love how Kyde spells her name its so different from mine I spell mine Katie lol the normal boring way lol
That's looks delirious :) ..I wonder what franchise would have the first vegetable burgers :) Let's make it happen lol Any who, heart yours vids :)
+Oni ChiChi I could be mistaken, but I think McDonald's in India had an all vegetable burger! -Eric

It was Saturday! All their husbands were at work! Hahahahahha. -Eric
Fellow Virginian!! The 804 is where it's at(:
Buiebug9 Haha, we are actually from the 540, but you are probably right about 804 being the place to be! -Eric
Tomato patty salad is maybe a better description.

tomato, tomami,
I so would have cut out the middle of that tomato and surrounded it with burgers....
Jeremy Kaplan Haha, I love that idea!
Try some sugar on a tomato, it's sorta takes on a watermelon flavor. It's good.
+Ray De La Peña Oh neat, I'll try it! -Eric
That burger looked so good until u said it was tomato buns. If I was forced to eat it I would literally spit it out in like a second. There was a taste test thing and I thought it was salsa but it was pure bits of tomato and I spat it out in front of everyone and got really embarrassed xD

You and Roger Federer do look alike.
Hank Scorpio Haha, I see it! -Eric
Not A Fan Of Tomatoes But Would Like To Try.
Vegeta21ish Wouldn't be too hard to try at home, but if you don't like tomatoes I can't see it being enjoyable! -Eric

The Wa-wa-wa-wa-waaaaa Cicadas sound like they're mocking human speech.
That kind annoys me the most. Smug little bugs.
ikaruseijin01 I agree 100%. --Eric
Hate tomatoes :(
that mos burger didnt look tasty at all.
jackychannel Hahaha.
I think they should make a double fried plantain burger, use the fried plantain patty in place of the bread.
Thanks for all your videos on life in Japan. I always wanted to visit the country but never have the chance to. At least now I can "experience" it through your interesting clips. Domo arigato! :) God bless
