I like the fact that a lot of these videos are McDonald's in Japan. I've always wondered if they did anything different. They definitely have way more interesting burgers there than we have in the US.
Saikou! Bidiyo wa dai suki desu! I love your videos you two! This is giving me a wonderful view of where I will be in two weeks time. I am traveling to Japan and will be there for one month and can't wait to see the sights and sounds of my dream world. Keep up the great work and editing, you two are fantastic!
She has a super expression-filled face. 6:31 the scrunched face for a half second...it's hypnotic watching her talk. Maybe I'm just not used to being a foot from someone's face lol.
After watching half of us this vlog.. I drove to my local McDonalds and bought.. a Te.. well I bought a Filet-o-fish meal.. and an onion cheese burger..... damn you guys are better than corporate McDonalds advertisement. Loving the Vlogs btw.
I work at McDonalds Japan... I liked the idaho burger too the brown sauce was tangy barbecue sauce... !! When you get a set you can ask for large fries and drink at no extra cost!!!
I have never thought about onions when I think of Idaho. I only think of potatoes, and maybe corn. I love all of your videos, and my husband and I are wanting to move to Japan in a few years. I would love to pick your brains on living there and where to find a good job. I would also love to meet you guys in person when we get there. Keep up the work!
Yay, McD's bringing Idaho to the masses, (albeit a 1/2 a world away)! I'll never find one like it here in ID, but am thinking of a do it yourself version with hashbrown purchase at 10:29 am and Quarter Pounder at 10:30 am. yum :)
I had to google it as well. I live in the midwest :). I also looked about onions came from Asia, not sure exactly were. Also heads up for my first video blog. Thank you for my inspiration for the video blog, not just you but others that wanted me to make video blogs. Well I am going have to get threw the community college level course in order to get into a university after getting a four year degree in graphics design. What company are you guys working for? If you do not mind telling me.
Yea, they have both. Wendy's is quite rare, but one time we got a lobster burger there. Search our channel for "lobster". Burger King once had a squid ink burger that was totally black, but I never got a chance to try it.
Hmm that's certainly an interesting looking burger, I don't think we've ever had an onion type sauce at work, we have this stuff we marinate onions in before grilling them but never an onion sauce itself. These videos always interest me my coworkers would flip if they had to make Hash browns past breakfast. Great video hope your Myanmar adventure was good!
Idaho produces the largest volume of onions in the US. Though, I'm from Indiana...wondering what an Indiana burger would be like. I suppose a giant tenderloin! Great vid!
Hi, we did a Q&A a while back and covered quite a few questions. This question in specific was covered here: ua-cam.com/video/owpSiH-y0z4/v-deo.htmlm33s . We also have an FAQ on our website that might interest you a bit: kydeanderic.com/FAQ -Eric
I'm guessing Idaho is quasi-famous for their onions? I only guessed this because all of the onions at my grocery store here in Seattle are from Idaho. Nice haircut in the new video, btw!
Skye Hagenstein We have been teachers in the past, but we aren't now. These days Kyde is a proofreader and I am sorta between jobs in a weird way. Work visas typically are 1 year, but differ for each nationality. Have a look at our FAQ for more details: kydeanderic.com/FAQ -Eric
Well, hello there, 2013. Hashbrown on a burger. I think I know two items on my next grocery list. The sauce looks like minced egg salad (as if that exists). Looks awesome (been to Idaho. Boise's oddly cool).
Hah, that's a subject it would probably be a good idea to make a video about, on retrospect. The main idea is that it's hard to gauge exact costs without knowing the destinations you want to go to and what type of person you are. Some people are OK with a really ratty bed and a squatter toilet to save $5, some aren't. We are pretty "tough" travelers, but not as hardcore as some. If you choose budget destinations you can travel very cheap though, think a few hundred dollars a month after flights.
I know I've had one but I don't remember it much. The problem with McDonald's is eating anything besides a cheeseburger means you have less room in your stomach for more cheeseburgers. -Eric
Ya Idaho has tons of onions too! But true when U think of Idaho it's potatoes and White Supremacy! I use to live there have relatives there too and WA is right next to the Id! Red sauce is prob a Japanese version of a barbequish type sauce? Amazing that the prices for McDonald's R almost the same, but none of the variety! Why can't we have a Japan burger here? ;D Thumbs Up!
Hey...this is the third video I have watched of yours so I think it's safe to pass on a quip in honor of this burger review: If you saw two potatoes standing on the corner, how can you tell which one is a prostitute? The one that says: "I-da-ho". = 0
It's a buns bun. I just had sushi in Idaho at Lake Coeur d Alene and can say that your burger is more Idaho than my Idaho sushi is Japanese if that makes any sense.
90 YEN is around 73 cents in USD I keep calling up this up-dated Yen to USD converter every time I watch your videos. BTW Your ONION Question... Here is the FACT about it.... Valley of Idaho and Eastern Oregon produce more high-quality storage onions than any region in America, planting approximately 21,000 acres every year. So, in away yes they are kinda in the running of the Onion as well.
*If two two potatoes were standing on the corner, how would you know which one was a prostitute?" The one that says..."I-DA-HO." 0_o
kim chi ......LMAO! hilarious
11 yrs later and I'm seeing your videos for the first time. Idaho burger...blessings from Idaho
I like the fact that a lot of these videos are McDonald's in Japan. I've always wondered if they did anything different. They definitely have way more interesting burgers there than we have in the US.
Chris Lee Haha, that and the McDonald's here tend to be spotless and staffed by incredibly polite employees. -Eric
I'm from Idaho. ^_^ Japanese guy from Idaho watching you two in Japan eating an Idaho burger... Burgerception?
Mike Utah Hahaah.
I love your channel you guys are awesome!

What is a "Bidiyo wa"? Your Japanese scribbles do not translate well....
Yes they grow a lot of onions in Idaho. Onions, potatoes, sugar beets - lots of root crops.
Glad your back.
She has a super expression-filled face. 6:31 the scrunched face for a half second...it's hypnotic watching her talk. Maybe I'm just not used to being a foot from someone's face lol.

Show more of the arcade in japan!
You peeps are great I love these videos. I think its an Idaho burger because of the hash brown potato. Idaho is known for spuds...
I've never been into McDonald's special burgers in Japan, but you guys are really turning me on to them. Great vids!
wontondestructxn They aren't always great, but they are always fun! -Eric
We need this burger stateside!!

After watching half of us this vlog.. I drove to my local McDonalds and bought.. a Te.. well I bought a Filet-o-fish meal.. and an onion cheese burger..... damn you guys are better than corporate McDonalds advertisement. Loving the Vlogs btw.
is there a wendy's or burger king in japan? if so, are their menus regional like macdonalds as well?
I work at McDonalds Japan... I liked the idaho burger too the brown sauce was tangy barbecue sauce... !! When you get a set you can ask for large fries and drink at no extra cost!!!

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video!
These arcades are everywhere here.
Haha, thanks so much! Hope you are having fun in Tochigi.
I swear this has become the McDonalds or cheap food in japan channel.
Is it going to come to the states?
Yay, McD's bringing Idaho to the masses, (albeit a 1/2 a world away)! I'll never find one like it here in ID, but am thinking of a do it yourself version with hashbrown purchase at 10:29 am and Quarter Pounder at 10:30 am. yum :)
We are always worried that the mic won't pick up our voices, so we air on the side of caution!
you have such a natural smile, i like that!

Were we gone?

These videos always interest me my coworkers would flip if they had to make Hash browns past breakfast. Great video hope your Myanmar adventure was good!
I have been to this McDonalds if it is in Okinawa. I believe the arcade next door is called The Voyager.
Do they ever have teriyaki burgers in the states at McDonalds? I can't remember.
Idaho produces the largest volume of onions in the US. Though, I'm from Indiana...wondering what an Indiana burger would be like. I suppose a giant tenderloin!
Great vid!
Nice! Thank you!
There is an arcade video on our channel! Enjoy! -Kyde
Yea, the more I think about it the more I think it might be a good video to make.
I just found out about your channel. And now I wanna know more. Why did you guys move to Japan

I enjoy listening to your Yen conversions and comparing them to what the USD today, the conversion rate has changed considerably.
+Archie11587 Yea, not in our favor either. -Eric
I'm guessing Idaho is quasi-famous for their onions? I only guessed this because all of the onions at my grocery store here in Seattle are from Idaho.
Nice haircut in the new video, btw!

Thanks! Yeah, we didn't know about the Idaho Onion fame until now either!
Thanks!
Yea, probably!
Does the floppy bacon in the burgers have "smoke flavouring"?
+SuperUltraRollingBomberThunderCorporation Nah, just floppy. -Eric
We OBSESSES over them.
Genius idea!
Cant wait for the New Jersey burger.
keep making videos! :D
I'd eat that here in the states. But as for the onions, Oregon has a TON of onion farms along the Idaho border.
We try our best!
What kind of jobs do you have and what do they pay? How long is the typical work visa?
Skye Hagenstein We have been teachers in the past, but we aren't now. These days Kyde is a proofreader and I am sorta between jobs in a weird way. Work visas typically are 1 year, but differ for each nationality. Have a look at our FAQ for more details: kydeanderic.com/FAQ -Eric
I was a Teacher for the Deaf for 18 years!
We're you an ASL teacher??
I am cerified in ASL and worked directly with Deaf Children :)
Skye Hagenstein Wow, that's a different challenge for sure, kudos! -Eric
I have added a hashbrown to my cheese burger because of this video...not bad😁
Nice! -E
Ah, nice! We had no idea.
I want one. It looks good!!!!!!!!!
Onions are grown in Idaho and Washington State to the west.
Although I don't think Idaho is as famous for them as Washington, Georgia or Texas though.
Well, hello there, 2013. Hashbrown on a burger. I think I know two items on my next grocery list. The sauce looks like minced egg salad (as if that exists). Looks awesome (been to Idaho. Boise's oddly cool).
Why don't you ask Vincent, why in France the Quarter Pounder is called Royale with Cheese?
Classic!

Could the bottom sauce be Chutney perhaps? Don't you guys have onion chutney in the states?
+Linda T I've never personally come across onion chutney. -E
Kyde and Eric Oh wow... you don't know what you're missing, it's awesome :D Chutney's are big here in the UK
You guys love the extreme close-up eh lol...
isn't it because of the hashbrown potato that's why the call it idaho burger like idaho potatoes?
now i know what to put on my next dbl quarter pounder....a hash brown lol
you should your hash browns with mcdonalds salsa its really good
Hahaha, don't sweat it too much. How long have you been here? How long will you stay?

You use them to play more games to collect more tokens.
Haha, thank you!
Idaho are know for potatoes. Also Idaho is next to Oregon.
wow these mc donalts burgers are bigger when compared to ones in my country, Turkey.
You guys should make a video about not sticking out as much in Japan. Tips on how to fit into Japanese culture.
Lol the burger butt~ i'm lovin' it~
Oh god.
Looks like the bacon Timmons eats in Dances With Wolves - SICK!
+Bob Carlson Hahahaha.
wait! no taste impressions? Wah!
It was 'aight.
It's only now rewatching this video that I notice how classy Eric looks at 3:46, compared to how we know him 😆
I noticed that Eric zoom in at Kyde a lot but Eric not so. Maybe don't zoom in too close at her. Suggestion comes to mind 😊
I want hashbrown on my burgers in America!
Taste like Cowboy Boots! hahahaha!!
No bats in the hanger!!
Floppy bacon is the best. English cafes for a full english breakfast. But that bacon is a bit fatty though.
Yea, we are aware. But why is the burger covered in onions? Haha.
Hey...this is the third video I have watched of yours so I think it's safe to pass on a quip in honor of this burger review:

Awesome! We don't have that burger here :/ I guess they don't want to make America fatter! Lol
It's a buns bun. I just had sushi in Idaho at Lake Coeur d Alene and can say that your burger is more Idaho than my Idaho sushi is Japanese if that makes any sense.
Haha, totally makes sense! -E
put the fry's on the burger , I do it all the time ...
+Harry Hall Good idea! -E

a hasbrown on a burger that looks delicious
Yea, we are from Virginia. We just assume they would make a civil war burger.
Idahoan Potatoes !
I think Eric got a better deal for the money....
They don't really cook the bacon that much in japan...
I doubt it, but I'm not the authority on the subject!
No onions just potatoes in Idaho.
haha well i mean, Idaho ranks 5th in the nation in onion production.
In Japan, Idaho is known by potato.
dijonaise! tasty!
