- The strongest horde base ever! no zombie rage! 7 days to die 1.0
In this video I will show you the strongest horde base ever in 7 days to die 1.0. What makes this design so special it is super easy and cheap to build and the zombies does not rage when they drop down!
Looks an amazingly simple trick to defeat zombie hordes.
But what about cop spit?
How does this work when you start dealing with demos and cops… higher tier zombies etc…
Keep in mind, zombies CAN re-enter rage mode if they get back within range of you before rage would have worn off originally.
If you want a true 'rage' free base, make sure to drop the zombies from more than 11 blocks, and build paths with obstacles that slow them down so they can't get within the 11-12 block range of you again for about 10-15 seconds, or they can and will rage again.
will the dogs and dire-wolves be able to get up or can stairs be added without changing the effectiveness?
dogs, dire wolves, and other creatures lacking opposable thumbs are unable to climb the ladders. If you build a staircase leading up to the top of the ladder though, they'll happily hop down the dropper thing.
I built this and it worked great for two attacks, then they just attacked the bottom of the four columns, they wouldn't climb the ladder, any ideas ?
Bro put half cube circle blocks arround the pillars then your good!

Check out that vid bro, do that around your pillars
@@lightning_gaming-tips Thanks . I watched the other video, I'll surround the pillars with those blocks, hopefully it will make them climb the ladder. I appreciate the help.
nice one!
no zombie rage ? how? when zombie fall they got rage and attack anything nearby. this looks awesome but weird that there is no zombie rage when they actually fall o_O
They won't rage if they fall more than I believe 11 blocks, BUT they can start raging on their path back to you once they get back within range again (I believe there's an internal cooldown of about 10 seconds or so if they 'would' have entered rage mode).
Notice some of the zombies are attacking the ladder on the way back up. This base design doesn't prevent rage mode fully, it is just delaying it and they're attacking their only path back up again.
If you want a true rage free base.... then you need to drop the zombies from over 11 blocks, and create more of an obstacle course that slows them down before they can get within 11 or 12 blocks from you. If you can delay them from getting within range of you for about 10-15 seconds, you should no longer see 'rage mode'.
I see way too many of these videos that don't exactly understand how rage works before they make a 'tutorial' on it.
@@silent9pc thank You for reply o7 Ill try it out :)
@@silent9pcI thought it was 14
@@julesthompson6799 CautiousPancake and others have done a lot of testing with it and I believe they said 11 blocks was the magic number, but I usually do 14 blocks as well just to be safe. 7 blocks high 7 deep usually :)
If the player is 12 blocks up, zombies don't rage.
