@@toastercannibalism188 it doesn't take a long time to complete it, nor are there many achievements but the experience is very unique. The ost is great and sets the right moods. I highly recommend giving it a try. I don't like puzzle games but this game is one of my favorites of all time.
This game is THE perfect example of how passion creates a great experience, not budget or insane game development skills. I'd recommend this game over a vast majority of AAA games.

As someone who has done everything you can in OneShot, I’m so excited to see other people playing such a wonderful game.
I will admit, yeah PC feels like the best experience, but I like the nice backgrounds and other stuff that come with the fake desktop! I’d say it’s a nice trade-off!
Never played. Heard it's kinda similar to Undertale with a dash of DDLC. Should I play?
@@breadbybread Yes, if you have access to a pc or laptop that would be the preferable way to play though. Its's kind of like Undertale as in 4th wall breaking, but it has no battle system. Still an amazing game through and through.

I played this game back when the solstice update wasn't even available yet. It's such a hidden gem and more people need to experience it. I'm glad it's coming to switch. It's a good buy for anyone looking to play a new game.

I was wondering how they would emulate the meta-desktop stuff the game has, and this trailer answered it perfectly!
I was worried about that as well, seeing as it's a big part of the game (especially the true ending). So I'm happy to see they made a work around.

Hi, if you are watching this trailer now unsure of what Oneshot is or if you should play it, heed my advice. This is a must-play. This is one of the best video game experiences I've ever had and it's truly a once in a lifetime kind of game. If you have not played this game, I'm begging you to give it a try.
Don't beg like it's going to kill you if no one plays it because not many people like this type of game. I've seen a "Vtuber" play this before but she got bored later on and she skips many dialogue. Not many people enjoy story driven puzzle games like Oneshot. Not like Undertale that has enjoyable gameplay. So let's just enjoy the game without worrying it not being popular.

Oneshot is nothing like that. It doesn't have that much of a gameplay and never question the player's choice.
Hoping this gives more exposure to this incredible game
Wow, this really is it's own seperate edition. It looks like they'll be working the console into the narrative rather than just making a fake desktop and calling it a day. The new additions (like the wallpapers and bios) might even make this the definitive version of Oneshot.

I remember playing this back in August 2021, and it became one of my all-time favorites. Would erase my memory to replay this.
For the best experience, don't look for anything about this game on the internet. It's best experienced on PC, although if you want to break the immersion and get this version first it's still a great game.
I discovered this game back in October of last year. Within just a few weeks of playing and finishing it, it became my second favorite game of all time. Everything about it is immensely well done.
I have _never_ had a game get me so attached to a character as Niko. I've been waiting for the console release since it got announced back in December.
Now I have to know what your favourite is!

i love how compared to all of the indie world trailers posted individually, this has more than double the amount of views than all of the other trailers
This was fun. I'm really glad the Switch userbase is getting this deep cut. It's very cute, but also melancholy and unsettling enough to stimulate the mind without throwing horror and jumpscares at you and the pixel art for the scenery is top of the heap when it comes to the last decade of indie games.
Wow crazy to see Oneshot getting a re-release and on console too! I remember playing this forever ago when it first released, it was always one of my favorite RPGmaker style games. Huge congratz to Night for this!
This is one of my favourite games, it has incredible meta aspects and some very loveable characters! I cannot wait to replay it and cry all over again the way I did with the PC version :')
I know I'm just echoing other people here, but OneShot is by far one of my favorite games ever, I've never gotten so attached to a character as I have with Niko, and I truly enjoy that the game is getting such a polished treatment. Everyone should take a shot at this narrative.

the fact they managed to incorporate the aspect of finding or changing files on your machine into a switch through a mini virtual machine. amazing.
Omg I love this, it's like DDLC+! It takes the meta elements of Oneshot and alters them for a console-friendly experience, while also adding a few extra features "outside" of the game.
Was a little sad about no Silksong, but this announcement more than made up for it
One shot is better it has a great story other than hollow knight and silksong

I am *so* getting this game once it comes out on Switch. It's one of vanishingly few games I've played that made me feel emotions.
It was my Undertale.
I've practically begged my friends to play this one. It's so good and it leaves such a good first impression. I can't wait to have it on the switch.

I played this game for the first time about a week ago, and seriously, it’s one of the best games I’ve ever played. I’m absolutely stunned how a game this good has gone unnoticed for so many years. I’d definitely recommend playing this on the pc first though, because it’s such an incredible experience on a desktop.
One Shot deserved to have it's full trailer in the Indie World.

This feels like a game you double-down. If you played it back in the day (or late last year like me) on PC and you love it? You will buy it again to see what they add... It probably isnt much beyond info and gallery and music but... still.
Regardless if you're double down or playing it for the first time, I hope you enjoy your expirience with OneShot... you've already seen more than you should in this trailer. Don't look up more and just play it.
I think they might add more, because as I noticed in the trailer, even with "those characters" (spoiler for people reading this) THE TIMER IS STILL ACTIVE which makes me really excited for the future.

I don't feel like they'd add another expansion to OneShot's world and story, new characters and stuff. It could be something different. On nightmargin's twitter there was "workin' on some games" for a while now, i wonder, maybe that's related to that countdown? 'd be cool. Either way, i'm glad and excited for possibly some new content, though i hope it's not switch-restricted xD

Words can't easily describe how happy I am about this! 💙 OneShot is one of my favourite RPGMaker games, and dare I say, arguably one of the best.

okay, so two things that i'm really noticing here, aside from the whole desktop thing:
1) stick control and diagonal movement??
2) SOLSTICE TIMER???
Edit: upon rewatching, I have noticed that:
a) the solstice timer is counting UP, not down?
b) the solstice trio is also there?? what??
Now this is my cup of tea! I'll have to put that on my wishlist someday! =D
I'd recommend playing it on PC for certain reasons I don't want to spoil, and you won't need a powerful PC to do so (my laptop can hardly run Minecraft but it runs OneShot perfectly fine), but if that isn't an option at all then the Switch version seems like a fine enough version of an amazing game.

This makes me so excited to play OneShot again! I've been kinda wanting to play it recently since I haven't played in a few years, so this is perfect lmao. Also I love the desktop they added to this game, it looks so cool! The music too!!! I'm so surprised yet glad it's coming to the Switch, I never even considered that would've been a possibility but they are doing it! I really hope new people will enjoy this game

A friend of mine was like, "Try this game" up until that point, his recommendations had been hit or miss with me. I liked some and disliked others.
Then he recommended One-shot.

Steam Edition: No, it ain't.
BUT CAN THE WORLD MACHINE RUN CRYSIS
edit: After further research, I have found out that it cannot run Crysis. Crysis requires at least an Intel Pentium 4 processor (or AMD Athlon 2800+), which has a speed of 2.8 GHz. Taking a look at the stats at the beginning of the bootup, The World Machine uses a YTEC Y-4430M processor, which only has a speed of 1.65 GHz. Crysis 2 requires an Intel Core 2 Duo at 2 GHz (or AMD Athlon 64 x2 at 2 GHz), which YTEC Y-4430M processor still does not reach. Crysis 3 requires an Intel Core 2 Duo at 2.4 GHz (or AMD Athlon 64 x2 at 2.7 GHz), which is again too high for the World Machine to run. Finally, Crysis Remastered requires an Intel Core i5-3450 at 3.1 GHz (or AMD Ryzen 3), which is too high for the YTEC Y-4430M processor to meet those standards, even with overclocking. This means that the World Machine cannot run any game in the Crysis franchise.

I remember playing this back on 2017. Really nice game. It's more storytelling rather than you battle with enemy from what I can remember. More solving the puzzle

It's pretty cool how OneShot was successfully ported over to the Nintendo Switch. Knowing that they made a whole "OS" for the port, it might as well work for every platform. Pretty neat!

YES!! When this popped up on my feed it gave me so many chills. Just remembering how impactful this game was, the soundtrack, the art, the story, Prototype, silver, alula, lamplighter dude...And of course, Niko. I loved and still love Oneshot.

This game was out in 2016 and it's a masterpiece and will always be, trust me, i still play the game on Steam. It changed my life, you will see soon what i mean by that.

Not only did they add a fake desktop to make the game playable on console, but they also added in character bios for all the characters too. I am so glad that the game is accessible to even more people now.
It's been years since I've played this game... but to this date I have no uninstalled this game. I made Niko a promise and I intend to keep it. As long as my PC works, Niko shall live on.
This trailer unlocks feelings of love for a game that I already love so much and I honestly am so glad that such an amazing game spreads to different consoles and yet still contains that old charm.

The clock at 1:26 originally counted down the days before the solstice ending was added real time, perhaps that means that the game is gonna release 83 days from now, on august 2nd give or take cause I am not accounting for the extra hours, just the amount of days

This version looks cool but doing the puzzles on your own computer made you connect more with the game imo. I still like how it looks and hope for a pc version of this.

i played this game on pc a couple years ago and i cant reccomend it enough, its incredible that a game like this got ported to switch and i think everybody should play it
