For those unaware, this game is being made by James Turner's new animation studio, him being a former GameFreak employee who worked on the Pokemon series.
Most people only know him for his Pokemon designs, but I follow his Twitter for the cute doodles (of which the long Kirby that went around a couple years ago is one)!
This game looks super cool. I was already pretty sold with just the zelda-esque part and the word puzzle parts, but it just kept adding really cool elements. Such a mishmash, and I'm loving the asthetics.
@@MikeSharpeWriter you did! This game was developed by pokemon artist and sword and shield art director, James Turner. Hes a really cool artist, definitively one that i look up to!
Wow! I was already enjoying the idea playing within the book, but you adventure outside as well and it turns 3D?! This actually blew my mind. Indies are slowly taking over because the AAA companies won't/can't produce anything this creative anymore. Think about all the IP's across the big 3 and list all the IP's that are being unused right now that could be turned into something like this. I'd rather give my money to Indie's right now.
Lmao, what load of cr@p. We saw Lost in Random and It Takes 2 from EA, Snipperclips, 1-2 Switch (outside the box type of game), Mario Kart Live Home Circuit, Ring Fit are all published by Nintendo and not to mention the Ori games from Microsoft. Asides from Sony who have transitioned more into the triple A big budget games, the other big publishers are still willing to fork out to either develop or publish smaller budget titles. You can't tell me Lost in Random, Ring Fit and Live Home Circuit in particular aren't 'creative' smaller titles. Lost in Random is a serious hidden gem. Stop pretending we aren't seeing indie type budget games from the other corporations!
I wish more indies could be like this. This game has the advantage of being backed by Devolver Digital. A lot of indies are very similar tbh, but when a good one comes along, it is EXCELLENT!

Nintendo, when you add a game's trailer on your channels Why don't you add the game into the "coming soon" list into the eShop? In this way people will add the games into their wish list and can monitor there the updates in order to don't forget about the game you announce 1 or 2 years before.
