The yomawari series is probably my favorite horror game series, super excited for this!!!
Yes!!! The Yomawari games are always fantastic! "Yomawari: Night Alone" was the first game via 2015 which was a unique survival horror game. Followed up by "Yomawari: Midnight Shadows" via 2017 which was another bloody good survival horror game. You can play both games by picking up the "Yomawari Long Night Collection" which comes with both games as mentioned above. Cannot wait to play this 'Lost in the Dark' third game of the Yomawari series!

Yomawari games are so good. If anyone is interested in this, I'd recommend checking out the first 2 games, they're on Switch as a double pack :)

Mostly their own entity but Midnight Shadows has some references to Night Alone.
So while the order doesn't really matter, I still recommend to play Night Alone first, to fully understand Midnight Shadows
@@ephemeralexistence578 what Dabbelith said, they are not really related, in fact (without spoilers don't sorry) Night Alone ando Midnight Shadows develops in neighbor cities, but MS is a little more enjoyable after you play NA :)
@@ephemeralexistence578 if you want, I recommend picking up the collection which is available on the switch digital/physical called "Yomawari: The Long Night Collection" which is the first two games. Check out some UA-cam videos of the first two games or the collection itself to see if it's up your alley.

Both titles are independent from each other, but Midnight Shadows has some references to Night Alone.
I recommend playing Night Alone first, though it's not really required to understand the story of both games

@@InnerRise Definitely the atmosphere. The Yomawari series uses almost no music, the only sounds are the monsters and ambience, such as the buzzing of vending machines or your footsteps. Additionally, you always die in one hit, forcing you to not just rush around a corner as there might be a monster.
What I'm trying to say is that the games aren't really your typical horror games in terms of jumpscares or something being gross to look at. The atmosphere just makes you feel alone and unsafe all the time.
The Yomawari games don't want to scare you, they just want to make you uncomfortable or uneasy.
Story looks pretty interesting but the music sounds super good

@@AbdulQayyum-cm2dp They do, I played them on the switch called the yomawari collection, but ironically I first heard about these games from the Japanese version.
I love the cutesy lead in and the halfway switch into what this game is all about.

The princess of horror games is back! The Long Night Collection is a masterful work of art! The dark library scene in the original games felt like an episode from the twilight zone!
