8990 . Looks like a good heater for the winter 😁. Did you try disabling spectre and meltdown security patches with inspectre ? Those patches affect older intel cpu's on windows 10 and above lowering their performance . You'll be fine anyways with those patches turned off .There is a program called inspectre with which you can turn on and turn off spectre and meltdown .
Theres a place in the UK called "Refurb-IT" near manchester. They do deals with Sapphire selling refurbed cards at decent prices. They ALSO sell a LOT of refurbed and reclaimed GPU's. Over the years I've buoght dozens - maybe even scores - of cool rare cards from them for dirt cheap.
Will you try and change the Cooling Pads too? I do that to all GPUs i get that are older than 4 years. Sometimes it dropped up to 30°c after replacing Pads with new soft ones. Of course i doubt that this Card will improve that much, but it also creates a feeling of safety. :D Nice Card! Never saw one before in action.
on Techpowerup i think, is an ModBios for the FirePro S10000 that makes this to a HD7990. I did this to my 2 FirePro S10000.. think this can also work with the HD8990. Awesome Video
They loved to rebadge the 7000 series. First to 8000 then it was the 200 series then 300 series. There was even a 400 series that was based on 7770 or 7790 instead of Polaris.
It is specific for OEM build. It is HD7990 for consumer. But OEM want new names every year just so they can lie to consumer that they have something new every year.
Remember u playing GTA V on this card a year ago. Seems it runs better now last time car details were glitchy if i remember correctly. Is this card weaker than S10000? If look at ashes of singularity benchmark page one dude run benchmark with this card and got only 3000 scores 💀
idk about s10000. i need to find it about gta v, yes its working much better. drivers and maybe gta v fix alot of issues. for my old machines i`m thinking to add gta v without updating it. the original disk.
Can't you change the front side bus for this xeon? Ive got a i7 3770 to play around with atm and even with the stock intel cooler, which is mostly a crime to humanity, this thing runs at 3.9 ghz base and 4.13 ghz turbo without playing with the locked multiplier or being able to add more voltage to it. It makes the single core performance go up quite a bit and multi core is the same as i7 4770 now. I only changed the fsb to 106. Your xeon is pretty awesome but the single core performance is a bit low.

It's just a rebranded 7990. Exactly the same specs and performance. They were OEM models lots appeared in Dell gaming PC's etc.

This is the v4. Only the v3 can do that. If I knew. It will have been cheaper too.
