The scene with Francis is one of my favorite scenes. Especially when I found out the subtext to it. When John asked how much weight Francis had lost, he wasn't asking that. Francis said in Russian that he had lost around 27 kilograms, which is roughly 60 pounds. There were exactly 27 guards inside the club. I found this out when the actor that played Francis, a former professional wrestler named Kevin Nash, did an interview about the movie and he explained the scene. I also heard that they'd actually told the actor the wrong Russian word for 27 and he actually said 20 kilograms, but it was meant to be 27.
1. John wasn't missing the shots through the glass. He was leading his shots cos he didn't want to kill him just yet. 2. Shooting twice is called a double tap. The first shot is to kill, the second is to make sure you finished the job.
I love you guys, you notice so many details that others miss. Taking the woman as a human shield. A) good on you for noticing that the dog dragged itself to Wick as it was dying, and b) you are the only watchers I've seen to realize that the dog was an extension of the dead wife! These guys just became standins for something much larger than themselves, since JW couldn't get revenge on 'natuiral causes'. They had no idea.
I just stumbled on this video and they were so adorable and charming. Then he hit us with that “Wick” joke and I legitimately paused it and subbed ffs! And no I’m not even remotely joking btw, I did that!😅👍

I know, it's so funny. I've seen people who aren't big fans of violence in movies and think it's a bit gratuitous watch this movie and go from that to "Oh Youssef, you are so dead"
19:40 when John said “you’ve lost weight” and he said “over 60 pounds” that was code, John was using code to find out how many men were inside, so there was around 60 bad guys in there
He answers in kilograms, and says 20 kg or "over 20 kilogram". The translators didn't know their conversation was code, so not only did they convert from kg to lbs, but they even made an incorrect conversion 😅 But I mean... "60 lbs" does sound a bit sexier than "44 lbs" 😜
To the point about John being a good guy versus the bad guy at the end. John obviously was a hit man, but when he meets with Francis I think it's really actual conversation, and a moment to show where John is like, "if you're smart enough to realize the situation your in and you're not his primary target he'll make an exception." Just like when he let the girl go at the hotel John told her, 'give me something', because he really didn't want to just kill her. She gave him some information so he let her live. Unfortunately. John has his code and is not going to just kill indiscriminately.

a golden coin is valued at around $2-3k
Oooh thank you, I was so curious about this!!!!
According to gold content, they're valued between 2,000 and 3,000 dollars. In the JW universe, the coins have no fixed value. They're meant to represent a favor or promise, not actual monetary value.
I got a good movie for you to watch it's called red dog
The rest of the series is a waste of time. No emotional center like this one has. Just stunts and gunplay.
the ONLY issue i have with john wicks shooting is that using a rifle you NEVER go for head shots for the kill you goto the center mass of the body.
The gold coins are worth a thousand each
