With all the crazy things going on in the world it does me good to see y’all still posting on UA-cam! Thank y’all from Southeast Texas!
What part of southeast Texas I'm down in Galveston
@@Timmothy2012 I was just down in Bolivar yesterday lol from Beaumont.
@@Jashcraft64 nice
you are so right sir!

Thank you Shannon for filming the video, Kent did a excellent job in the wind cooking up the smoked catfish! Excellent recipe.
When i was a kid, we lived in Canada and had a little river out behind our house. In the river was a little bump of land we called an "island... " taking liberties. However, on one side, was quite a good "hole" where the cats liked to lay. After catching a few, we'd just be-head and strip the innards, then roast them on a stick over an open fire and let a pat (or three) of butter and sit there and pick it off the bones. So many years later, I swear I can still taste it. But this looks like the other way I'd like to eat it, ill be trying it soon.
A tip... for your viewers.
When cleaning your catfish, many people claim they taste "muddy." Thats because there is a filter, called a "mud strip," that runs along the top/back of the fish. Remove this strip and you'll never have a "muddy" fish again. :)
I absolutely love this guys videos. Grew up eating ALOT of the stuff he cooks but he puts a spin on it that always looks good
A Big Thank You from all us Armed Forces retirees , veterans and those still serving. You and Shannon always restore our faith in humanity. Please don't ever stop! Thanks!

I just ordered and received both of his Cook Books. I was so excited to get them and so disappointed that I hadn't ordered them sooner. They are well worth the investment and are top quality, no I don't know Kent or Shannon but I feel like I do after reading all the stories and see how much work that went into them. Thank you kids so much for all that you share, I feel truly blessed to get to watch all your great videos. Can't wait tilll we meet up on the trail. God bless you both.
Kevin thanks so much for the kind words and we hope they bring you many happy meals
No matter what else is going on my day is always better when I come here. Thank you! God bless you and Shannon.
Hell of a time to get a catfish recipe notification while I'm out here at the lake fishing.
*drops bass rig*
*picks up channel cat rig*
"Here kitty-kitty, Kent has a damned good soundin recipe for ya!"
Maybe if I apply my phone speaker to the line, the vibration of Kent's voice might entice the catfish to bite knowing they'll be cooked just right.
Here's hoping. 🙏
Best post of the year! Carry on ... Laughing.
Beats the hell out of the grain fed, farm raised fish.

I'm thinking the recipe would work just as well with bass... Both warm water fish.
Love the Hasty Bake!
Won one in a BBQ contest years ago...Brother in law took it, still has it 20 years later.
Great piece of equipment
You never cease to amaze me. The tip of the hat and a hearty thank you for your expertise. Stay safe.
you sir are an american hero, the country needs people like you, feels like home watching your videos
Looks delicious! Can’t wait to try. Especially the tartar sauce. I live in Alaska and think this sauce will compliment a lot of the fish we eat up here! From Florida so I know Catfish and never thought to smoke it until now! Thank you as always for being you and all you do!!! Can’t wait for the next one!
My wife said to me last night, “we haven’t heard from Cowboy Kent yet this week”. I reminded her, we’ll see him tomorrow!
Thanks alot for being you. It's nice to have relief from life's struggles. I love your recipes and explanations. Nothing but love Kent.
You are so welcome Jason and Thanks for watching
Hope you two are staying well and safe during these times guys. Appreciate you.
Hi cowboy Kent. Thanks for sharing with us today. God Bless & God Bless our America.
Kent Rollins was not lying. That smoked catfish was delicious. I used cherry wood since I couldn't find peach. Everyone loved the tartar sauce. I made mine with extra capers to make your mouth pucker. Keep the great recipes a coming.
Just wanted to say thank you Kent! With an upbeat attitude your channel and family has truly brighten my day thank you so much for your respect for God and our country sending well wishes from Georgia

Catfish, I love catfish. Bless you with all my stomach, its bigger than my heart.

I had to drive from Phoenix to KC recently for my 91 yr old father, I went through Ok, and I went thru all. The great folks I have met in OK.
Look forward to your videos more than any others. Such a pleasure to watch, learn and get hungry with you.
Kent, Shannon and Pooches, Thank You from Talkeetna Alaska. Think I am going to give this a try with burbot. Bout as close as we get to catfish up here but should be delicious. Once again thank you all for the great vids, recipes and most of all for the sincerity and obvious love of food, family, community and country.
If I'm ever feeling down, I know I can watch some of these videos and it'll cheer me right back up.
This is actually a keto recipe. Thanks Kent for all of your great content. I am ordering your cookbook for my 8 year old niece Avery. She will be 9 in Aug. She is one of your biggest fans!
Great marinate recipe! Thanks for posting the recipe..... love smoked fish.... made blackened fish too.... and better for you! Thanks Kent.
Kent , thank you for bringing us a little bit of refuge in this crazy world of ours. The catfish looks delicious. Stay safe. 😎
I live in Wisconsin and we just don't have food like you cook around here. It all looks so good! Love your show. God bless.
Looks like the way to do fish. Thanks for the video, great comments by Shannon, keeping Kent in line for sure.
That looks like a winner for sure! Thanks Kent, Shan and Andy.
As Kevin Pitt II mentioned, with all the nasty things going on out there in this great country, as an immigrant who grew up in the south, I love this channel. To me, this is classic Americana, and the Cowboy, Shannon, and the quality control staff bring a sense of normalcy. I love the U.S. flag in the background flying around in the wind in all its glory. Keep up the great the work Cowboy Kent and wish you all the very best always. We all need to be grateful to live in this country, and you know, I am not a big fan of catfish ( I am a steak/meat and potato dude), but I am gone give this a try.
As a trucker I really appreciate the shout-out! Amen and God bless
Kent, you and Shannon have come such a long way. The content doesn't change but the production definitely has, love watching your videos and can see the effort that has gone into the years iv been watching. Keep it up guys love the videos!

Great job KR & Shan. That rocked!!!!

Real good fixins y'all. I've smoked salmon before and loved it. Have a wonderful week and stay frosty and safe.
I sent my neighbour a Kent Rollins video and he thumbs downed it. I'm not speaking to him now, nobody disses my love of Sir Kent's work!

Thank you so much!
Magnificent! We have a cooking party every time a new video is released.
Mr. Rollins put it nicely, and bbq sure helps me get through some frustrating times. Great stuff!
I used this recipe last night, it was excellent! Honestly, fantastic. Thanks
I love your recipes so much, i’ve used too many to count.
Keep it light, keep it mellow, is great advice for fish. When I lived in Alaska, Alder was the #1 wood for salmon. I can't wait to try some frozen farm raised catfish fillets in my new electric smoker. I'll be going for a Cajun flavor and will smoke some jalapeno peppers at the same time. Some of the roasted peppers will go on top of the served fillet and then covered with a hollandaise sauce. With a side of asparagus tips and rice, I'll be in heaven.
So glad you used DILL pickles! It's been a long standing feud here over sweet vs dill. I like the addition of horse radish. Always wanted to try adding some Cholula or Tabasco. Now, to go catch me some catfish!
Every time I see a new video by Kent, I always shout out two words; "Yee Haw!!!!"
You are too precious. My favorite to watch cook on youtube! Great content
Thank you so much 🤗
I swear this channel makes me want to quit my day job and cook for a living! Keep posting vids you are an inspiration!
Brother Rollins:
Down in South Texas (just south of Kingsville) is a seafood restaurant called Kings Inn. Best gulf shrimp and fried drum you’ll ever eat. Their “secret” recipe for their tarter sauce has to be very close to what you made. But I’ve been told there are some crushed Ritz crackers added that gives it some body. But that horseradish (I am sure they chop it up fresh from the root) just makes you do the Kent Rollins shuffle. Google Kings Inn Tarter Sauce recipe.
looks delicious. i will add this to my grilling cook notes.
Loved this!
Looks good, thanks for sharing
Your recipes are always great Kent!
Always great to see the gang!! God Bless y’all

Love your channel Kent! Delicious fish recipe mmmm so good!
God Bless You two, you’re such a joy to watch
I happen to have two filets in my freezer from our trip not too long ago. I got lucky and had 3.9 pounds of dressed fish to take home. I fried up the little one pounder and all the fingerlings from the big one. I froze the two from the larger fish. Thank you so much for showing this smoked recipe. God Bless
Love your “swim” dance!! Wahaaaa! Fish looks wonderful!!
Looks so good
I used to love to go catfish fishing on a still, warm summer evening and just sit with my thoughts...until of course that reel started bending and that drag started to screaming. They put up a great fight and also taste just right. Thanks for the tartar recipe Kent. I've tried many concoctions and have pretty much settled on something pretty similar to yours. When I finally started keeping capers in the fridge and adding them to the mix, that's when my tartar sauce became "just right".
Fantastic! Thank you, Kent!
I spent months away in a lot of states but I couldnt wait to get back to Oklahoma on the farm. I love Oklahoma its my home. God Bless.
Man-o-man, wouldn't you know this came on my laptop just when I'm hungry (very hungry actually) and was thinking about having something "good" to eat. I need to go to the grocery store because I'm almost out of everything and I was "flirting" with the idea of getting some drive-through fast food. Oh how I wish I could snap my fingers and have Kent make me dinner! Wow.
Yummy. Thank you for sharing.
Mighty good Kent and Shannon. Smoked catfish, now that's gooooodd.
Simply excellent!
You are the best! Love your videos!!
