do miss college days mate, so you having this channel up an running has brought that vibe back, keep up the amazing work josh, hoping that seat comes my way if not might just have to order a few for me an my boys
Very nice work! I might add that rolling the center bead inward will have reduced the volume from your fully cylindrical calculation…not that it makes that much of a difference!
I have had a go at one in the past, but it needs a bit more time putting into it! I’ve also found that I don’t get on with them too well. That’ll be just down to practice though, so one may show up pretty soon 👍
What cutting discs do you use for ali? They look like they cut well, i find that the ones I use wear quickly and give a large burr. Also that laser cut disc is so tidy, I bet that took a few goes to get perfect... Tidy work man!
These are just the 1mm discs from screwfix. They are proving to be a good disc 👍. Thanks man, it’s actually fairly easy to work out when you have all of the details of the pressing tool and end requirement 🤟
@@PinkyRidesBikes I do, yes, but I only 2D draft. I’ve been able to avoid modelling in 3d so far, but it’s something I should really put time into learning. It would help in a very large way with developing new designs!
@@FanFabWeldWiz i think there’s a bit of a stigma around CAD, especially 3D work but I think it just comes from people thinking oh there’s no skill. Anyone can draw something on a computer… Actually not the case. The years of fab I’ve done pre being able to draw anything has meant when I do draw I’ve got so much knowledge to put in to the design. I mean, for example, I could go out to the shop, drag bits of metal around, develop a cone, cut it out with a torch or a grinder and then flap the edges down and hope I’ve done it correctly… or I could draw it, send it to the CNC go out roll it. It’s going to much quicker and tidier. Work smart not hard 😉
All hail the garage king! 👑

@@FanFabWeldWiz do you do the CAD work yourself?

The best 3D modeling is done in your head.
