Barbara Marx always talked with such detachment about Frank Sinatra! He ended up marrying her because he was through with love and she would make a good hostess, housekeeper, live-in escort and eventually carer. And she got her reward, for sure! I bet if he hadn't fallen into dementia he would have divorced her. Zeppo Marx had left her a Jaguar, plus $ 1,500 alimonies for the next 10 years, when they split. Upon Frank's death she got most of his money, 3 houses and all personal items & memorabilia. They were auctioned off by her son. Couldn't at least one of the houses be turned into a museum, like Graceland? He fully deserved it!

@Patricia Walton From the extracts of her autobiography published in the papers you sense a woman as hard as nails. Her indifference (to anything but money) was taken as a show of balance & strength by poor Frank who was aging, lonely and would feel guilty about his tantrums. In "Quora" a fan who has attended many of his last concerts, writes that she would never follow him on tour in the last years. The poor man was left to his own device and would fail to take his medicaments properly (taking them twice or forgetting to take them altogether). To finance their costly life and her charity he would embark on gruelling performance schedules: 4/5 nights concerts back to back first in America and then all over the world. Each followed by dining or partying mostly to please any old friends who happened to have a locale or eatery in town, be it a modest pizzeria. He says that after 3/4 nights he was feeling tired himself without the partying! Clearly, given Frank's age and failing health conditions, his singing would be sometimes affected....
