- Hello everyone! Today we have a flight report covering my experience on my recent Virgin Australia flight to Sydney on the ERJ-190 [Registration: VH-ZPT]. It was the first leg of my journey to the USA where I overnighted in Sydney before flying UA870 to SFO, which I will also upload a flight report for soon. The flight going down to Sydney was excellent and definitely one of the better domestic flights I have ever been on. The service was warm and typical of Virgin and the ERJ-190 is a great aircraft to fly on. Unfortunately, Virgin Australia has reduced the size of their ERJ-190s over the past months and will continue to sell off the fleet over the next few years, in order to improve profit. This is sad news and I will miss the sight of VA ERJ-190s and flying on them.

No reverse thrust! This happened when I flew MEL-SYD on the E190!
I think the pilots decided to roll to the very end of the runway due to the light load and weight of the small E190. It was the first flight I've been on that didn't use reverse thrust from memory. Thanks a lot for watching again!
