both pilots can steer the plane at the same time with a joystick, so the pilot could already make the corrections and help him while he's flying, there is a red button on the joystick when he wants the plane to ignore input of the co pilot he presses it and the plane only listens to his input. Very easy to save the landing in that way :)

He has done that literally thousands of times. Most airline pilots first build hours as Certified Flight Instructors and a CFI for commercial jets must have trained many PPL pilots, as well.
Also the narrator added extra drama (that is his job), but a little bit of nose-high attitude at 10ft could have made the landing a bit harder. That's all. There wasn't any danger.

I want to become a pilot, I am taking physics for A-levels (I am British) and I am learning lots of the training already like researching stuff before I have even started the training. I'm 13. 13. At 14 I can start Cessna training and then move on to Small haul airliners once at 16. I hope I become a good pilot, only bad thing I'm worried about is the price since it is extremely expensive.

for anyone scared of flying, I just wanted to say that the pilots and flight crew are trained for any situation possibly that could go wrong, I'm serious. If you are maybe scared of turbulence, just remember how calm the pilots are during turbulence, I've seen this video of a pilot in pretty bad turbulence. As soon as the camera went into the cockpit, the pilot was reading the newspaper!
remember that going on a flight is actually safer than getting into a bath! Also driving to the airport is far more dangerous.
Aircraft are nowadays tested to the limits, for example you know when your maybe scared when the wings are flexing? the 787 dreamliner's wings can flex over 7 meters.
flying is perfectly safe and one of the most popular and quick ways to travel today.

Being a pilot, recreationally or as a pro, If you think you have it nailed, then you're going do have a bad day one day. It requires 100 percent commitment always. Experience will be paramount. Discipline, confidence and a positive character is required. Communication and teamwork. Dealing with multiple situations not just in the air, but on the ground. Commercial considerations, timings, MELs weather, to name a few. Forward planning. Fitness, diet, sleep. The responsibility is immense. But to fly anything successfully and in a safe and proficient manner, is one of the most rewarding experiences in life.

As a student pilot nearing completion with my solo done, I have to say…on final approach things do happen very quickly and you do realize you are not in a video game anymore. But that’s what drives us as pilots, getting you to your destination very quickly in spite of how unrealistic it can feel in the simulator. In the real world with my flight instructor, I constantly go over what I did wrong, and how I can improve my aiming point focus on landing. The A320 is an amazing plane, and when starting on the jet with an airline, the training captain is your best friend in learning how to adapt to flying a jet when starting with an airline. I cry often with tears of amazement and joy in regard to the engineering is that goes into manufacturing airplanes. Hopefully, this video can ease some anxieties about flying and how pilots act during final approaches to your destination. A training captain starting with an airline is someone to look up to and learn from.

Once lined on the runway for departure on the actual solo flight the fear goes away, because the student is too busy.

Good checklists should only be for important items that can't be forgotten, otherwise they would be far too long and ineffective. Things such as lights are not super important

When you are a new pilot, you could be taking over for another pilot who retired, or one who went to another airline. Just like when you join the military, you might be replacing somebody whose time ran out and opted not to reenlist.

Those lights next to the runway - you want two red two white. More white means you're approaching too high, more red is too low.

Funny how few people know about this industry. No one realizes that an airline pilots first time flying the real thing is with passengers onboard.

You have something known as a base check where you will do circuit patterns with other pilots on an empty aircraft. But after sims(zero flight sims are very realistic), base check, it's the real deal with passengers.
