My factory charging handle broke on my Ruger 10/22. I needed to clean my rifle so I figured this was about the perfect time to swap out my original factory handle for an upgraded model. In today's video we take a look at the Volquartsen Extended Bolt Handle and Recoil Rod Assembly in a detailed video that shows the overall quality as well as an installation demonstration.

Tighten your barrel lug, and you will see your groups tighten, and accuracy dramatically improves. Mine is tight enough that it takes a little effort to remove the barrel. But the accuracy is there!

Nice 22. Ruger has done a lot with the 10/22 over the years and decades. I have a few of them. The one I like the most is one I bought about thirty years ago. It's a stainless steel carbine with a laminated stock. It's nice and light and accurate. The most accurate 22 I have consists of a scoped Ruger 10/22 receiver, a competition target stock, and a stainless steel fluted heavy barrel with a vortex equalizer. Talk about a tack driver. I used to consistently shoot the tall grass seed heads off by severing the stalks at 80 - 100 yards. A good quality heavy barrel really makes a difference. Did you ever try shooting a pre charged pneumatic air rifle or pistol. They are very powerful and extremely accurate.

Best part to ensure long term success is the Kidd bolt buffer. Really takes the smack out of the high power ammo potentially cracking receivers long term

Never use a torque wrench/driver to loosen. Every manual even warns you

No offense but can you cut back on the bullshit and just get to it. You turned what should be a 7 minute video into nearly double that.
