I do love Donald and Douglas’ theme in this episode, their argument at the docks, the old memories like a signal box and a hay cart from brake van and twin trouble, Donald telling Emily that Douglas lost his tender and he had to rescue him, (sighs) just like old times, and Emily snaps at the twins.
I'm sorry, but I actually love both this and "Love Me Tender". I don't really mind Donald and Douglas being the typical siblings bickering over and over, as I just love seeing them back in the show once again. Just a shame they only made a few appearances in the CGI series before BWBA came around. (And no, I do not wish for them to be in All Engines Go!) 🙁
I do love that snow beard that Toby has & still has it when he was free (I haven’t noticed until now that he still has it, thanks for pointing that out). At first, I do love how Douglas was talking about Donald & Emily was laughing while Donald was hearing all of it. But over time, it seems like they repeat the same formula of what they do best (arguing). The unlucky tug covered what the Scottish twins are like from books, tv & cgi shows. And I do agree, how did one of them switch to another track or turn around on the hill? PS, I do love how Thomas mentioned that they can’t agree on anything at the docks. It just shows that he knows them well.
Well, I understand many fans not liking Donald and Douglas' arguing in Emily In The Middle. If the episode just have them working with Emily and be in proper character without arguing, it would've been better. In his Sodor's Finest on them, Unlucky Tug pointed out that the real problem with Donald and Douglas in CGI is that they only have two major roles in CGI and didn't appear more after Season 21. If Donald and Douglas appears more in CGI after Season 21, the writers would've utilized other aspects of their characters in CGI without arguing involved and that would've made it better for them. Hopefully that might have you understand what I'm getting at since you and others didn't think to consider that thought for 7 years til recently by Tug.
Among the worst of the Brenner era, thus showing how easy it is to decide on the bad Brenner episodes. Like arguing is not Donald and Douglas' only character trait! If this was all they were going to do with Donald and Douglas, I'm glad they never got a leading role again.
I agree, Emily In The Middle is one of the most frustrating episodes I've seen. The worst part is that Douglas is one of my top 3 favourite T&F characters.
Also, Donald and Douglas literally chose to stop their trains...in the MIDDLE OF THE MAIN LINE. That's dangerous! Hell, when Donald first chose to stop in the middle of the main line which ultimately prompted the twins to cause start to switching places, it actually caused Toby to crash into the snow. If you're going stop and switch places, can't you do it at a station or something? Then the second time they decided to stop to switch places...they did in the middle of the main line, again, but on GORDON'S HILL. Then the twins started bumping into each other like braindead children in the middle of the MAIN LINE on GORDON'S HILL, leaving Emily (who's practically a Victorian relic basis-wise) having to hold up the heavy-*ss train up the steepest hill on the middle of the main line and ultimately derail. Donald and Douglas, engines that usually have dedicated work ethic, shouldn't be THAT irresponsible.
I think the only positive thing about Emily In The Middle is Douglas calling what’s going on, Donald, not hearing him, asks “what?” and Douglas goes “Ob, brother.” Something that may seem little to most people but I honestly couldn’t help but chuckle with that interaction.
I liked this episode BUT I was very sour on it because it ended Donald and Douglas on a very sour note. I love Love Me Tender and I believe it’s S Tier (my opinion) but I can’t like Emily in the Middle too much because it’s a Twin Trouble clone..
I find it funny how Thomas knew exactly what Emily was in for and decided to warn her about the twins also Emily had every right to yell at the twins but she managed to stay calm until she got into an accident.
Please make a video on No Steam without Coal and why it’s the Worst Bill and Ben Episode, then Rocky Rescue and why it’s the Worst Search and Rescue Episode, and Finally make a video of either Wonky Whistle, Sodor’s Surprise Day, and Thomas Makes a Mistake and why it’s his worst episode.
This one’s just decent for me. Its big problem is that it uses a trope used before, that’s it. And if this is their worst, I think Donald and Douglas might have one of the better track records of the main cast considering the likes of Percy and Edward. Even Skarloey got worse than the Caledonian Twins.
Man, I don't know, I'm weird because this episode is so God damn funny to me, and it's my favorite out of the Donald and Douglas arguing episodes. Like, I'll admit I'm not too fond of that being the only aspect to their characters that they focused on in both of their CGI episodes, and had they had gotten another spotlight episode, I would've preferred it if they left that "bickering siblings" dynamic to just the tiny yellow twats. But other than that, I'm a very humorous kind of guy, so seeing the sh*t that Donnie and Dougie get into in this episode makes me smile. The scene of them biffing each other is, unfortunately, my favorite scene involving those two no joke. This episode is also probably my favorite use of the "bouncing." But yeah, in a nutshell, this episode is just Zack and Cody one upping each other over a girl.
Dude I hate how Donald and Douglas both have one of the best and one of the worst of the brenner era(at least in my opinion), this one is donkeywater Also the guy at the end referring to Cranky as “Crank” made me laugh watching harder than it should’ve done XD

In My Opinion Twin Trouble is Underrated & Overlook Episode From Some Fans I think Twin Trouble is One of My Favorite Episode From Season 6 that we Learned New About Donald & Douglas Those Two Not Always get Along Each Other They Will Fight and Argue Like Real Brothers I see very relatable with Me & Other Kid too I really like Twin Trouble Better Than One Good Turn & Buffer Bothers There Should Been Part 2 Episodes Just Ended Where Doulgas Is Sadly, Lovely & Miss his Brother Donald then move in the Second Part So Yeah Twin Trouble is One of My Favorite Episode From Season 6
I do agree that "Emily in the middle" is the worst episode of the Scottish twins because I feel it shares the same case as the Season 10 episodes "Toby's afternoon off" and "Edward strikes out" which reflect what happens when you put the wrong character in the wrong episode. This episode really left me speechless when I saw Donald and Douglas's attitudes, about arguing all the time like in the episode "Love me tender" and the truth is that it surprises me a lot because since their beginnings in the classic series they weren't like that because they always got along very well, they liked to work together, occasionally play pranks on others and they even hated being separated from each other. Well, they already separated in the Season 6 episode "Twin Trouble". But despite that, they missed each other and even wanted to apologize because the twins couldn't stand being apart. In the Season 7 episode "Bad day at castle loch" they only argued for a few seconds and then were happy to go to Callan Castle. In their other appearances of the HIT era they were also seen very close like helping Gordon in "Gordon and the Engineer" of Season 11 and in "Saved You" of Season 12 when they got stuck behind a tree. Now, since their return in the 2015 film "Sodor's legend of the lost treasure" Donald and Douglas were seen again very united helping with the construction of the branch line to Harwick, taking the pirate ship that Thomas found to the dock of Arlesburgh and in the opening of the aforementioned branch line. However, in their two appearances where they were the protagonists, there was a change in them and it is something that was not very much to our liking because seeing them argue a lot reminds us of Bill and Ben who are the twins who do argue very often. Honestly, the episode is not bad, but I feel that Donald and Douglas were not the right characters for this story. They should have better written a story where the Scottish twins work together without arguing as they were in their beginnings and that the twins from the clay quarry would have been the protagonists of this episode with Emily... Don't you think?.
The only good thing I liked about this is that Emily, another scottish engine, got to work with Donald and Douglas for once, who are also Scottish engines. We've never seen the three of them interact until this episode.
Hmm i kinda think "Love me tender" is not worse than Twin trouble, the ending especially where they almost fight (again) when they trying to applogize, love me tender have much more better aproach on finishing the twin fight as both just glad meeting each other, and the end lightheart banter is pretty wholesome. Also the setup and pay off is great The coupling snapped was already established by the rattling sound and the camera focus on Douglas tender coupler before Mark told us (Not just Random 3rd party decide to be on the railway somehow) Thomas showing up already set up by Douglas when he said they should clear the line for him, and the ending when Donald said he's low on water already being set up when Donald comes to water tower, but he immediately race off when he learn of Douglas tender. Also Toby being the "Chaotic neutral" character is like in the book.
the problem with emily in the middle is was that they just bicker in love me tender their bickering is more reasonable and more real grounded and wat they bicker about more reasonable which makes them not not look like bill and ben clones
It’s really disappointing that the twins bickering is the only factor that they have to them anymore. Ngl it kinda makes sense that they amped it up so much because Season 21 was indefinitely the hybrid between the Brenner and the BWBA era and meshes them both together in the worst possible way. BTW 100th comment here. Let’s see if All Engines Go can get them right again, but I seriously doubt they will.
WelshCoal being in a video?! Yo that’s crazy. Overall the episode was kinda bad. The logic of how the engines turns around is seen what ppl call “cartoon logic.” It doesn’t make senses. Reminds me of watching an episode of MLAATR for example, basically how the crust cousins literally flushed vexus devices down the toilet without clogging it?! The point is that the writers just didn’t want to do with the Scottish twin engines. The episode I’ll rate a 5.9/10 it’s not the best but it was some what decent.
I Saw This Review Coming I’m shocked that you don’t like Love Me Tender, I think it’s a really sweet episode. But yeah I not a fan of this episode. Pretty mid imo. 8:26 😂😂
I quite like this episode all things considered, but to be honest I think it would’ve worked better if it was Emily, Donald, and Douglas disagree on things rather than it just being Donald and Douglas fighting. To me this episode has a good concept it just wasn’t executed very well
I hate how Donald and Douglas were written as they're 5 year olds. They acted worse here, even during the CGI era! Oh, by the way, if you want to watch a good Donald and Douglas story, just go watch "Twin Trouble" and "Love me tender" cuz they both at least were better than this piece of trash.
@@D10Studios235I know some other worst episodes you can do. Rosie: "Rosie's carnival special" or "Rosie is red". Diesel: Diesel glows away. Flynn: You can already guess in S15... Salty: Percy and the monster of Brendam. Rusty: Which way now? Thomas: Either something from the HIT, Miller or BWBA era. Arry and Bert: Middle Engine "Panicky Percy" is also a winter episode.
Based video from someone whose favorite are the Scottish twins. I love Love Me Tender sm but EITM ain't it. I also don't ike Douglas x Emily in the TTTE humanized community. I mean what do both deserve to be a couple after Emily scolds both twins? 😭
This episode destroyed these two characters just like how spiteful brake van was crushed by Douglas Who’s next by the way? Is it Duck or another narrow gauge engine
Donald & Douglas, Toby & Henry: Brenner Era Edward, Skarloey Emily: HiT Era Gordon, James & Percy: BWBA Era no Sharon Miller Era? you almost have all the main characters. except Thomas duck and Oliver didn't appear in season 13-16 so not them. so it HAS to be Thomas for the Sharon Miller Era. and I already know what episode its gonna be for Thomas >:)
Not ad episode with Emile. Only bad thing it last main role before the background trains. Only bad beside that is start I think I frogot what I hate but there one thing.
I ASKED FOR THIS EPISODE! 😊 I prefer "Twin Trouble" and "Love me tender" than this... l:( We've been getting lots of Donald and Douglas love lately during these past 2 to 3 months from RhysIndividual, Sooty Will and Unlucky Tug. I can't believe that man Tug literally got Joe Mills of all people to voice Douglas for his latest "Sodor's Finest"! :D I honestly think that the person who wrote "Emily in the middle" watched "Twin Trouble" and thought that Donald and Douglas were black versions of Bill and Ben. Though they're never mischievous like them. Donald has been classified as the more jokey type but to me I see him like that in "Donald's duck" and "Tenders for Henry" and the more disgruntled and angry type in this episode, "Love me tender" and "Twin Trouble" while I see Douglas as the more sensitive type in "The Twin Engines", "Bluebells of England" and "Escape" when it comes to the topic of scrap and the mature type in "Twin Trouble" and "Love me tender" as he tries to heal he and Donald's wounds in a more calmer manner.
@@jeremiahsisaias8677 Not sure but other writers should have a chance to write Donald and Douglas in episodes in proper character with no arguing involved should they appear more to have major CGI roles besides two. At least Moore's good with Toby, Daisy and Duncan.
I don’t know about you but concern the fact that some of the engines you didn’t do our duck Oliver and probably a little bit other engines that didn’t really get that much of the spotlight. In later seasons I will be surprised if I see one of them. Get a very bad episode for this channel.

My favorite part of this episode is the scene when Emily snaps at the twins. Almost like a big sister telling her little brothers to shut up
She's the nanny or babysitter of the episode.
Even better that her basis is actually quite old, older than the rest of the main cast's.

But yeah I not a fan of this episode. Pretty mid imo.
8:26 😂😂
Suggestion: you’ve always done the worst character episodes. Have you thought about doing the best character episode?
They literally got reduce to Angry Scottish People 😭😭😭
I quite like this episode all things considered, but to be honest I think it would’ve worked better if it was Emily, Donald, and Douglas disagree on things rather than it just being Donald and Douglas fighting. To me this episode has a good concept it just wasn’t executed very well
Wait, what about wonky whistle the worst Thomas episode or up up and away
Just in case you're looking for another worst twin episode, (aka the worst bill and ben episodes) I definitely reccomend, "No Help At All."
You should do the worst Diesel episode next.
My choice for Diesel will be "Diesel glows away".
the scottish twins theme makes me edg- *gets shot*
I hate how Donald and Douglas were written as they're 5 year olds. They acted worse here, even during the CGI era! Oh, by the way, if you want to watch a good Donald and Douglas story, just go watch "Twin Trouble" and "Love me tender" cuz they both at least were better than this piece of trash.
I Thought Mind That Episode
what about another kinda funny part of gordon getting a mustache in thomas toots the crows episode
They started biffing each other back and forth is the best thing I've heard all day
😭
@@D10Studios235 I have the next episode be Diesel do right: The worst diesel episode
Arry and Bert: Middle Engine
"Panicky Percy" is also a winter episode.
I would not wanna be in Emily's place🙁 (I think this is a case where her being bossy would actually be justified)
9:30 *DO NOT GET IDEAS👹👹👹👹*
Based video from someone whose favorite are the Scottish twins. I love Love Me Tender sm but EITM ain't it. I also don't ike Douglas x Emily in the TTTE humanized community. I mean what do both deserve to be a couple after Emily scolds both twins? 😭
This episode destroyed these two characters just like how spiteful brake van was crushed by Douglas
Who’s next by the way? Is it Duck or another narrow gauge engine
Its beens nine episodes of the worst episode for a character and im shocked on how there is no nitrogen era episode yet
What about the worst Thomas and Percy episode?
It will be wonky whistle and percy and the funfair
I just noticed something in this video. Why Donald or Douglas? One of them lost their eyebrows.
How long till we get a TreyWpro movie retrospective?
I Love Donald And Douglas
Honestly, I’m wondering when you’ll make the worst Thomas episode, I’m curious on what it would be
Can you do the worst duck episode
Do yall think that bill and ben are more mature than D&D in cgi. At least according to the episodes
Maybe worst Diesel episode next?
Do Thomas next
When will we see Thomas’ worst episode?
My ideas:
1•Wonky whistle
2•Thomas’s frosty friend
3• lion of sodor
4•Chickens to school
5•Thomas and the Big Bang
These are just my ideas so feel free to find other episodes you think is terrible
Donald & Douglas, Toby & Henry: Brenner Era
Edward, Skarloey Emily: HiT Era
Gordon, James & Percy: BWBA Era
no Sharon Miller Era? you almost have all the main characters. except Thomas duck and Oliver didn't appear in season 13-16 so not them. so it HAS to be Thomas for the Sharon Miller Era. and I already know what episode its gonna be for Thomas >:)
What’s it gonna be?
@@joshuaW5621 idk wonky whistle
Not ad episode with Emile. Only bad thing it last main role before the background trains. Only bad beside that is start I think I frogot what I hate but there one thing.
Kailan's Playhouse: Worst Hoho episode!
No
blame salty
I honestly like this episode
CANNY
CAN
CANNY
CAN
Man i have watched Emily in the middle it was trash tbh
I ASKED FOR THIS EPISODE! 😊
I prefer "Twin Trouble" and "Love me tender" than this... l:(
We've been getting lots of Donald and Douglas love lately during these past 2 to 3 months from RhysIndividual, Sooty Will and Unlucky Tug.
I can't believe that man Tug literally got Joe Mills of all people to voice Douglas for his latest "Sodor's Finest"! :D
I honestly think that the person who wrote "Emily in the middle" watched "Twin Trouble" and thought that Donald and Douglas were black versions of Bill and Ben.
Davey Moore.
@@DavidBContentExtravaganza3967I wonder what went through his mind when making this episode...
@@jeremiahsisaias8677 Not sure but other writers should have a chance to write Donald and Douglas in episodes in proper character with no arguing involved should they appear more to have major CGI roles besides two. At least Moore's good with Toby, Daisy and Duncan.
@@DavidBContentExtravaganza3967Daisy got the most episodes about her in both S20 and 21.
Peter griffin potentially
I have a video idea
7:05 when this video coming out?
Its a joke
Bickering scots
I don’t know about you but concern the fact that some of the engines you didn’t do our duck Oliver and probably a little bit other engines that didn’t really get that much of the spotlight. In later seasons I will be surprised if I see one of them. Get a very bad episode for this channel.
Where’s the worst THOMAS episode?
