I love you Hispanic Hector
James OC or whatever at 2:10 that appears for 13 picoseconds by LYR55James this wasn't my idea
Season 12 isn’t peak? Uhh did you see Handsome Hank?
Note: Hank died on the way back to his home planet
(/ref)
They even made 2 models of him
we peaked as a species during season 12
@@StoneTankEngine I agree
You have a crush on Hank don’t you Diana😏

8:12 unlucky tug talked about how scenes randomly had green and red express coaches in the the backgrounds, and now I can’t unsee it.
27:03 I've never had a problem with Sir Handel acting more mature. The guy grew up for Duck's sake!
Exactly. Plus this is one of the few times in this era where they followed character development. At least Sir Handel becoming more mature is nowhere near as unbelievable as Skarloey and Rheneas becoming children.
Honestly the best thing to come out of season 12 was...
The fact that they gave the 2009 Trackmaster Edward his season 12 face.
Bruh, that reaction proportion of the video had me cacklin. I f**king died at 22:35; I'm surprised no one has made that joke sooner.
As for my thoughts on Season 12, I actually really enjoy it, and it's my favorite season of the HiT era surprisingly. I mean, the writing's still dogshite but I don't take it too seriously, and I still manage to find plenty of things to enjoy. I also know that Brandon's narration might have not been the best for some people, at least for this season, but I don't know, this is like my second favorite season that he's narrated behind 7. His energy is still present, and the voices or line reads that he does for the characters are unironically hilarious to me. I stan Hispanic Hector.
Something I've never heard anyone bring up when talking about season 12 is it's color grading. The colors this season pop a lot more, and the blues are way deeper than the rest of the HiT Era. Seasons 8-11 have a big issue of being a pale yellow/dull blue with not much color (un-aided with the set designs), but this season felt a bit more lively with it's colors! Also yea feel free to 🤓 react me for this thing about color grading
I feel like Hank is a character in the later seasons could’ve been used very well because if I remember correctly, there was a streamliner introduced that was based off the New York Central Hudson’s (I think his name is Connor ) and because Hank is based off of the Pennsylvania railroad K4 I feel like the two would have a very nice dynamic Especially considering some of the real life railroad history but one can dream
I must give one thing to Season 12 and that is that it used a lot more of the secondary characters. I feel like only Duke and BoCo didn't appear at all during the HiT Era. Everyone else returned at least for Season 12.
Also, I can probably sit through some Season 12 episodes, unlike ANY of the Nitrogen Era episodes.
at the end of the day its just a kids show
expecting anything else is setting yourself up for disappointment
I personally think season 12 was brave for trying something new. Its not reinventing the wheel but its a nice change. you had some great points in this video and did an excellent job presenting them.❤
Thank you for the kind words, much appreciated!
I appreciate your respectful attitude and I get what you're saying, but just because something is made for kids isn't the excuse for MOSTLY mediocre writing.
@ThomasShorts123 I heard that Pierce Brosnan originally narrated Season 12, but his dub was never released. My theory is that Pierce owns his dub on a private dvd.
Yo let’s go! I love that you’re making a vid inspired by Nic! Very well made! And half an hour too!
As someone that has since looked down upon Season 12 following that season being where the writing gradually took a sharp decline and other things too obvious for me to mention, I can say there are positives with Season 12 I do have such as Harold being CGI, James and Hector's dynamic, adding Hank as the first American tender engine with Hank also being the best newbie while Colin was just there and Flora was just completely useless (especially in her debut episode), the filming quality being a step upgrade, but with a much better looking lighting and camera font than Season 11's admittedly, and despite having wished they went for full CGI after "The Great DIscovery" and Season 11, and we do get to see more of Stanley.
And props to you for bringing back Garfield!
Glad to see I'm not the only one who luled at the "QUICK DUCK. MOVE NOW!!!" Line delivery Brandon gave. You could probably make a whole "Noises of Michael Brandon" video and have it be only Season 12 for how scuffed his narration was this season.
Yeah, compared to how Mattel is handling Thomas,Season 12 honestly doesn’t look that bad by comparison.
I can’t lie that it was actually my favorite season as a kid. 😄
Finally somebody that doesn't think season 12 is not bad I'm really really nostalgic to season 12 because I watch it on sprouts and I got team up with Thomas DVD
honestly if you ask me think the best season of the hit era is season 11, why?
1: while episode like don’t be silly billy exist there’s actually hand full of great episode such gordon and the mechanic/engineer, emily the garbage/rubbish engine, cool truckings and hector the horrid.
2: the sets aren’t as cheap and boring as the other seasons.
3: a few minor characters make returns such as arthur, murdoch, elizabeth, even donald and douglas.
4: the great discovery, need I say more?
At least fans can use all of the season 12 newbies and make them better characters. Like Epiclafiteau with Flora in the newest ep. of Sudrian Stories.
The reaction to the Flora episode was genuinely gut twisting, lmao!
The only reason I never saw it was because of Edward’s eyes😭
0:23 GARFIELD ME BOI :D
Compared to some of the episodes in BWBA (and the Miller era to an extent) season 12 is tame in comparison. While I’m not really a fan of Flora and Colin because the the people making them probably forget to give them a personally but I think Hank was good and I wish we got to see more of him.
Also there were some parts I found humorous such as 2:12, 9:45, 10:59, 13:56, this whole entire scene 18:39. I kinda feel like this could be used as a meme template 19:04, the whole part of Thomas’s love for Flora and Henrietta’s jealousy of her was funny to me
My favorite season 12 episode is funnely enough also the first one i watched: heave ho Thomas.
Season 12 of the beloved children's franchise "Thomas The Tank Engine & Friends" is in fact,
the absolute peak of storytelling in the writing community,
for it contains the episode "Push Me Pull You" which is a wonderful roller coaster of emotions.
When Skarlowee crashed into those trucks of totally ice cream and not anything else,
I felt it man, I felt that sticky shit land all over my body.
Truly, 'twas the finest experience of a life time,
the closest some of us will ever get to heaven ❤
I have a lot of nostalgia this season because I used to air on the TV all the time
And this and this season came out the same year I was born
at 19:43 I wasnt paying attention since I had another tab open but the moment I heard someone screaming "THOMAS! that's creepy" I burst out laughing 🤣
As a filthy RWS purist, I like all the show's seasons equally.
I love the rws more than anything myself, but damn I loved season 12 lmao
Bro the way Thomas blushes
I actually find Hector’s Hispanic accent nice
18:57 POV: Thomas Shorts when he sees Hank
6:55 I can’t stop replaying this part
And I also can’t stop replaying 9:44
Legend says that Trampy is still dying from Push me Pull you 😂
Season 12 is the first truly awful season. Seasons 8-11 were very HiT and miss (see what I did there), but I wouldn’t consider those four bad.
24:12 Don't worry, there's like 3 other UA-camrs who have made videos on Hector's character arc. He isn't that underrated.
Dw guys my friend convinced Unlucky Tug and Trampy that Push Me Pull You ain't that bad by telling them he had the best sandwich of his life the first time he watched the ep on his dvd player, it's all good
This is way better than Series 11 or 13! Why I love this? 20 Episodes! It’s unbelievable talent with the CGI face! The Screen is amazing! Make things more colorful! Series 12: 7/10!
Series 13 also has twenty episodes?
@@fairlyoddenginecreations Really?
Yeah, every nitrogen season has twenty episodes
It’s okay, it’s not cool to kill off Stepney after not appearing in Series 6 (not counting 7 he only appeared in stock footage)
But at least the US give him a last dialogue.
3:28 This is why I love Peter Sam. He’s very eager but also very mature. When it comes to any job, he’ll take it with no argument. He and Percy should meet up sometime. They’ve got a lot in common
While I don’t like Season 12, at least there was a season to transition from Models to full CGI. Sure the writing is poor, the CGI has aged poorly, and logic is all over the place. But at least there was a transition between the two eras. Compared to how other changes were handled later, HIT must be given credit for having us ease into changes.
9:27 that’s kinda like What the Unlucky Tug said about Toby in Mavis
see series 12 has lore.
Mr Percival wanted to have as many kids to match the amount of engines he has.
i agree with this. ironically
As a Mexican, hector is peak representation.
Season 12 Is My Childhood And Its Nostalgia
Who else wanted to hear the rest of the narrator speal at the end
I don't know why, but seeing the animating faces on the real model engines feels so uncanny to me.
I've always viewed Henry Gets It Wrong to be a really dumb episode. Like, what the hell is stopping Salty from just... pushing the trucks in front of him out of the way from the wishing tree? Are the trucks brakes on or something? It's never explained!
Honestly, there are some things that I like about season 12 (the returning characters, Hector and Peter Sam's arcs, etc), but still it's not a good note to end on. I'm one of those who don't find it AS bad as people say it is, but it's really hard for me to disagree with others' opinions on it.
Push Me, Pull You is no doubt the worst, but it's at least funny to joke around when watching it.
Stepney returned only to get sugar thrown on him 💔
at least bomas had a good 22th season
also first
Bomas season 30 was bad
@@Milesprowerboy5i know it was horrible 😢
Percy speaks in Heave Ho Thomas and Henry gets it wrong as well but that’s it also this season has a couple good episodes I definitely agree on that.
22:23 I spat out my drink. Dang it Toby lmao
9:04 It did, infact, go in the video.
Hector the Horid more like hector the helpful
15:51 I didn’t know Francesco Bernoulli was in this lol.
I like season 12 for nastalgia 😇
2:10 hey that's my OC is in season 12
25:24 We learned to not race…
…backwards
MORE PEAK, also hi
I’m gonna get attacked for this but I think series 12 is terrifying
THE PERSON WHO MADE THAT JAMES OC IM FRIENDS WITH
I Love Season 12
Same
Hurray
Hispanic Hector unironically sounds better than Matt Wilkinson as Victor.
“THAT TRACK IS MUDDY”
People saying this is the worst season of the HiT Era or even the whole show are completely delusional. There are much worse examples.
There are flaws. Many of them. But there is quite a lot to enjoy if you look.
I do wish they kept Brosnan, and they did Stepney dirty, but those are my main gripes.
great work
No views in 1 minute, bro did not fall off, this joke did. It's not funny.
Honestly even tho people don't like season 12, it was my childhood and more likely the first time I've seen thomas and friends, and excellent emily was my fav so yeah that's all I have to say
I’m my opinion, Season 12 isn’t bad, it’s just average. It defidently has some gems. And it’s definitely better than Season 11 and the whole Miller Era (Seasons 13-16)
*except Season 16
I actually prefer 11, 13 & 16 over 12
14 & 15 can go suck a lemon since they are the same quality as 12
5:57 So true! The sets are so bleak and bland
Unpopular opinion but I find this season quite a bit better than season 10 (which I would consider the worst model season overall).
Yay
I got 5 subscribers 10:30
Peak, also question what is your favorite thomas season through 1-12 🤔
Personally it's Season 3, so many good eps
@ThomasShorts123 True, Season 3 had many good episodes, but my favorite season is two
so the problem for the season 12 this no voice actors.(so who wants season 30 of Thomas and friends.they gonna ruin)
MUDDAY.
oh my
oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god
- Chris Griffin
I respect your opinions, but I absolutely despise Series 12. Sure, some episodes are... mid, but I cannot forgive it at any cost due to the fact they ruined Edward. Edward was always my favourite character as a kid, and seeing him represented with such a horrible CGI face just ruined him for me. Not even S13 - S15 do that bad. They have pretty atrocious episodes, but at least the ENGINES LOOK NORMAL. Season 12's engines DON'T.
I spent 2 hours on this Bart Simpson drawing no views I bet
i'll give you 50$ if you watch the entirety of S13 BUT in the UK dub
since its like the only available season to watch the eps individually
Say sike right now
Lmao
@@ThomasShorts123 how bout nu >:3
why do I have all the season 12 dvds-
most I surprisingly don't have complete season 12
1:34 While true, this isn't the OG first seven seasons of classic TTTE, S12 is such a downgrade from S8 in terms of story, characterization, and set design... and that animation I can NEVER get over how poorly it has aged. The Nitrogen Seasons in terms of animation quality hasn't aged nearly as poorly as S12. S13-S16 look as if they could've been made yesterday, or 20 years ago. Unlike S12, since with the use of models and CGI, you just *know* when it was made. 2000s/2010s when a lot of live live action kids shows switched over to animation. S12 will forever remain dated.
And forever loved in my heart
@@ThomasShorts123 Fair, although I'm curious if that stands true for S13-S16 in your eyes. Since to me, S13-S16 are *so* bad that they're funny to me. S12 is to the point of just being bad... with a few mediocre and okay episodes tossed in. It doesn't quite get so bad to the point where its a funny sort of bad.
wow
@ThomasShorts123 hi!... would you like to do a littel colab? just a voice in a video?
(like a funny animated skit)
Sure, I see you make animated content of some sort, how can I reach out to you?
I love Micheal Brandon, but HOLY SHIT the US dub of S12 sucks so much
season 12 is peak and is season 15 - 16
Finally someone gets it
@@ThomasShorts123 rel
I haven’t watched the video fully, but do you think plan to do this with more seasons?
I'm not sure, if I ever do it might be in the later future
Peak 0:07
Imma be honest It's just a kids show
This is coming from another thomas fan lol
Season 12 ain't bad
Duncan and the hot air balloon is one of the worst episodes of the show and I am honestly jealous you can enjoy it more than watching paint dry
The episodes are fun watching them with friends lol, that's prolly why some of the episodes have the rating they do
@@ThomasShorts123 I don’t exactly have people irl to watch this show with so it’s probably why I don’t see much enjoyment in some of these epsiodes
gordin
2:10 you didn't even credit me for the picture and where did you find the image
Google. I just looked up season 12 James and I thought that image would be funny to use. I'll credit your picture in the description
@@ThomasShorts123 thanks who idea was it to put the image in
Uh.. me. Since y'know, I made the video
@@ThomasShorts123 okay I will make a deal with you
now do season 25 😈
That hasn’t come out yet because of that reboot that will not be named.
Bro this is the worst season of thpmas and friends
Season 12 is mediocre
anything after season 5 was ass lmao
DO U HAVE A DISCORD SERVER I WOULD LOVE TO JOIN
no
oh ok btw love ur content
Flora making thomas down bad is kinda funny, until you realize it happens all the time. Ashima, Rosie, etc
