I’ll share some of the things that I had to figure out as a complete novice to video editing software, so that you can get started with doing the basics in no time at all!

Can you remove objects in shotcut ?
There's no digitally advanced way to just make them disappear that I know of. If you're trying to block something out (or cover it up), what you could do is add a second video track and insert a picture (of whatever, even a black space) and then use the "size, position, and rotate" filter to move it just over the object you want to cover up. Another thought is if the object is near the edge of the frame, you could use the same filter to zoom and reposition to move the object out of the viewing area. Don't know if this will help you, but that's probably what I would do within this software.
Hey mate! Most of the time I do is Split & Remove to make videos shorter. A lot of my videos is 40-60+ min long. Often I Split and Remove as little as 0.5 second or less at the time But lately it takes ages for "Remove" button to appear , like 9-16+sec.. Do you see the pain? Any idea how can I fix this problem? As it is VERY frustrating and time consuming
Hey there! That sounds really frustrating, I have not had that issue...not that this fixes the cause of your issue, but have you tried using the shortcut "X" to remove after you split?...this way you won't have to wait for the Remove button when you right click. Just a thought to try. Most issues I have are trying to do multiple things quickly, or have my browser open in the background with 100 tabs open!...and then it freezes and crashes, so I've learned to hit the Save button more often. It sounds like your computer is getting bogged down for some reason...I'm guessing you've checked to see if other programs or even viruses are running in the background and tried closing them? Or just restarting it sometimes frees up some RAM. I definitely feel your pain, just not sure how to help you with it.
@@HowTowithKevin Wow thanx mate for the tip. I never thought about it. It does work! It is not great, but still, it works much faster then I had before. Only now I've another problem - when I try to do it fast, I keep mixing "s" and "x" buttons 😆
