I found that your cooperation with Fuoad is surprisingly good, I feel very warm! The size and the orderly work of the restaurant is impressive! Their beef pies look so appealing, I want to eat them! It was great to be able to visit the ruins while listening to Greek mythology stories, thanks for sharing! 👍😄👏
It's always worthwhile to watch your films. I appreciate you sharing this delicious pie and this lovely old place. You constantly have something so interesting to share. Thank you, Harry.
All ruins have their own story to tell.😊🤔 Now I understand Lebanon is not just about food and stunning places to visit but also it's rich in history. FYI Baalbek temple is one of the grandest Roman ruins as we can see it obvious without a doubt is truly amazing.🤔😊😊😊🤩
Baalbek is one of the best sites in the world, when you are inside these ruins you feel to be back in history. By the way Sire Lebanon is full of historical sites and Baalbek was happy to receive her king Harry Jaggard. Take care Bro
What an impressive an impressive assembly line of delectable meat pies.. As long as Sweeney Todd is not on the building 🤪 Those ruins are Majestic 🙌🏼 Impeccable Vlog as always Sire😎
The ruins are insane! I didn't know there were awesome Roman temple ruins in Lebanon. Vloggers really help make these places get known more. That's why i support vloggers coz they help countries' tourism a lot. Haha, yes Harry, i remember when they let you in the Dampa seafood restaurant kitchen. I think they'll let you do that in most countries except western ones. 11:00 - Wow, great bargaining skills! I don't think Fouad was too happy with it though, hehe. In Intramuros, some people will try to sell you old coins and medals too Harry. Honestly, they ARE pushy, lol. Like Kuya Jun Jun the ice cream guy in the Cebu beach if you remember, haha. Speaking of Intramuros, it was voted Asia’s Leading Tourist Attraction at the 29th World Travel Awards held just recently Harry. So hoping you get to visit it again on your return here. And try to visit also BONIFACIO SHRINE nearby (near Manila City Hall). I know one of your favorite places here in PH is BGC. And if you remember, BGC stands for Bonifacio Global City. It is named after Andres Bonifacio, one of our national heroes. (We have many national heroes. But Dr. Jose Rizal is considered the greatest.) Andres Bonifacio is called 'The Father of the Philippine Revolution'. He was the founder of the 'Katipunan', a militant nationalist secret society that led the rebellion against Spain. So now you know who BGC is named after. :) And Harry, i want to recommend you go to AYALA MUSEUM too in Makati to learn about PH history in a visually fun way through their beautifully made dioramas. They also have lots of artifacts on display and stunning miniature boat replicas (galleons, etc.). I'm not sure if filming inside is allowed, but i saw an Americam vlogger who was able to film extensively in it. So maybe just try to be discreet about it. Also want to recommend you visit MANILA AMERICAN CEMETERY AND MEMORIAL near BGC. I've seen a couple of vloggers film extensively inside too even though it's not really allowed, hehe. Btw, we have a similar meat pie here like the one you had. We call it Empanada. Try it too if you see one here. :)
I need fouad as my tour guide😂 i'm Lebanese and i still haven't gone to some of the places that you went to . I'm glad you are having a great time in Lebanon😍 Did you explore Sour ( Tyre) in the south?
Hi khayyi Harry , Fouad is kind & loveable as ever . The two together is such a good team . Baalbeck City of the Bikaa Valley Lebanon , has a complx history that goes back at least 8000 yrs. From the Canaanites , Syriacs , Egyptian Hittites , Greeks , Persians , Romans , Arabs & Ottoman Turks . The current ruins of Jupiter & Baccus temples are 2 of the largest Roman temples today , built during 1rst. century AD . Baalbeck produced 3 Roman Emperors including Caracalla . The outer fortification walls are Arab built from original ruins stones . The " slits " in walls you noticed are for the ' archers ' of the defending soldiers . Glad you had another enjoyable day in culturally rich beautiful Lebanon 🇱🇧 . Salaam habibi 🥰🙏
WOW so many staff in the kitchen, such a quick operating system. so great you get to show us the pie making process, I agree health and safety in the UK would never allow you to enter a commercial kitchen. pies look fabulous. sausage role/pepperoni pizza what a fabulous combination😃. only $6 outstanding value for money.
Harry (meaning it well): "Fuad always decides where to go and what to eat! I dont need to decide anything" Fuad (typical Lebanes impulsive answer): " I suggest bro" (it is you who decide, dont make me look like I am imposing) Harry:" I meant you always chose well" ( Harry here learned how sensitive Lebanese are and how careful he has to be to not hurt their feelings) In this interaction, Harry learned more about Lebanese than in the rest of the day
I don't appreciate these pushy people towards visitors, on the road leading to the main entrance! This is such an usual practice in Lebanon, as people there are usually very friendly and not pushy towards tourists (as in many other parts of the world). I understand everyone is trying to make a living, but I am glad Harry and Fouad were quite firm with them in the end. I think the Lebanese ministry of tourism should control this practice, to make sure visitors are not bothered when coming to discover these magnificent Roman temples!
Baalbek Temple was built by Indian masons. There are clear record in Lebanese history about it . In the temple there are sculptures of lotus flowers and swastikas have been part of Indian Culture for thousands of years. Also there is a 16 pointed stone for Guru Puja or worship of the Guru which symbolises 16 ways to treat a Guru. That stone is essentially Indian yogic culture.
Wtf so many false facts. Pagan culture was banned from historic times in Lebanon. Through out the history Lebanon has 3 religion: Islam, Christianity and Jewish
@@mehmeteminkadiroglu1994 what makes you say it's pagan culture, the history of Hinduism is way older than any other religion. There's no need to start any war in the replies again.
GuyszZz guys... No need to have a quarrel here..... It's true ancient hindu symbolism exist in baalbek as well as Roman... But the most intriguing part is the ancient canaanites/later called Phoenician stone masonry work and sacred architecture in the shape of the volumes themselves that exist throughout Lebanon in multiple temples.... That was also mentioned in the old testimony as well by clearly mentioning the use of lebanese cedar wood and commissioning canaanites architects and builders to design and help in building the temple of Solomon.... Way before any Roman has existed 😁... The size and weight of the stones in baalbek has never been found to this day anywhere on earth and for sure the knowledge was spread way wider than we can imagine... An international community wouldn't be strange sharing common symbolism 12000 years ago...
Come visit Harry India, there is a very beautiful place in Darjeeling West Bengal India and there is also a minitoy train to visit and your good content will also be made, your journey will also be good
Baalbeck is the biggest Roman ruins after Rome. By that time, the complex housed three temples : one to Jupiter Heliopolitanus (Baʿal), one to Venus Heliopolitana (Ashtart), and a third to Bacchus God of wine. On a nearby hill, a fourth temple was dedicated to the third figure of the Heliopolitan Triad, Mercury (Adon or Seimios). Baalbeck was known as Heliopolis it means the sun city.
