  • Hey guys! I hope this video finds you well and happy! This crochet granny square and is super easy to work up, with 1 repeating row after the first few rounds. You can use any weight yarn that you would like as long as you use a full mm hook size bigger than what is recommended for your yarn of choice. You can also make this square as big or small as you would like depending on how many times you would like to work the repeating round. I hope you guys enjoy this tutorial and pattern!

    Seems simple, but was kinda hard to follow because I kept losing track of the triple crochet and double crochet. I kept pausing and starting but still couldn't seem to catch it right. I am a novice and need to get better to keep up. Great pillow, looks amazing.

    I love the pattern and know all the stitches, I just can't keep up with the tutorial, even on half speed. When I rewind and hit play again I can't tell which stitch she's on relative to the stitch I'd just completed, so I end up pulling everything out and starting the whole round over again. This has happened at least five times already. I'm going to try playing the tutorial through while I write it all down before I try to start making it again.

      I understand this for sure. My videos are made to be watched and then you work a little bit while it’s paused and then you continue watching and working as you need to but again I do understand how this happens and the frustration. I do have a written pattern for this pattern up on Etsy already if you would like to not have to write it down ☺️ also has pictures for reference! I hope that helps! ☺️☮️💙🎶

    • @TheCraftNut

      Yes, you just have to change colors each time you go around a corner. If you aren’t quite sure about that I have videos on how to change colors or I could make a video about it?

    But for a tutorial you are going really fast. It is hard to catch up, especially in the beginning.

    • @TheCraftNut
      @TheCraftNut  4 роки тому +1

      My videos are made to be watched, and paused while you work to the next part, and then y watch again. I do understand it can seem fast. There is also a setting to slow it down in the settings if you would like 😊☮️💙🎶

    • @IsaStracciatella
      @IsaStracciatella 4 роки тому +2

      @@TheCraftNut I completely understand how this is meant to work - but it seems like you don't understand what I want to say. This is not the first pattern I recreate with a UA-cam tutorial. But your hand movement when you show what to do is still way too fast. The part with setting it slower is an okayish tipp. Before setting it slower, I am simply finding somebody who is willing to show things in an appropriate manner and timing.

    • @allisonrichmond1770
      @allisonrichmond1770 4 роки тому +1

      If you know how to DC,TC and FPDC then you shouldn't have to watch her hand. Maybe look up how to DC,TC and FPDC.

    • @IsaStracciatella
      @IsaStracciatella 4 роки тому +1

      @@allisonrichmond1770 When I don't need to watch her hand, I obviously don't need a video at all and the video is pointless.

      @@IsaStracciatella well I am sorry you feel that way. If I were to slow down enough to show each individual stitch in every video then it would be very redundant for the more experienced crocheters that I have following and watching my videos as well. As Allison mentioned, I and others have videos for you to be able to see how each individual stitch in worked in closer detail and at a slower pace. Hope that helps!
