    That’s a beautiful pattern. I’m going to try to make it for a 16 in pillow form since I have them ready, instead of buying the 18 or 20 in pillow form. Thanks for the tutorial.

    Hi Tamara, I love you videos as I am a knitter who is just learning to crochet this summer. I am starting this pattern and would like to know if you have any tips for me as a beginner?

    It’s unfortunate you chose a darker yarn, it’s difficult to see your stitches for me. Imagine younger people don’t have that issue.

    When makin the back do you use the same amount of stitches? I finished my top and not only me but several people have commented on it about how beautiful it is
    So thanks so much for such a beautiful pattern 💖

    Hi!! If I want to make it 14 inches, how should I adjust the pattern?

    • @mooglyblog
      @mooglyblog  2 роки тому +1

      To make a 14" square, you'd start with 43 sts and then work about 35 rows, or until it's square! :)

    I am using a 22' pillow form. How many stitches would I need?

    • @mooglyblog
      @mooglyblog  2 роки тому

      With a 22" pillow form, you'd want to make a 20" pillow. So you would want to start with 71 sts.

    I’m new to crochet and I can’t get this yarn in the uk, it seems very expensive. How do I know what a suitable alternative would be?

    • @mooglyblog
      @mooglyblog  2 роки тому

      Hi Kimberly! There's more info in the written pattern at www.mooglyblog.com/hygge-diamond-pillow/ but basically, you'd want to choose an aran or bulky weight yarn, or you could hold smaller yarns together. Fiber content is up to you, whatever you'd like a pillow made of!

    • @back2reality663
      @back2reality663 2 роки тому

      i doubled up on thinner yarn and it works nicely. i dont have the pricey yarns, i just go with the colors i like most at the least cost. and the results are good on most

    How is it possible to have the same number of stitches after working row that starts 1 SC then FPTC? With only 1 SC to start and end that row, it changes the multiple to x4 plus 2. Am I crazy?

    • @mooglyblog
      @mooglyblog  3 роки тому

      I think you're forgetting the 3 sc before the repeat begins. :)

      @@mooglyblog When you are repeating row 2, it starts 1 SC the FPTC. It ends that way too. For some reason it seems to work out, though the math doesn’t make sense to me.

    How many stitches would you need for a 16 inch pillow form? 55?

    • @mooglyblog
      @mooglyblog  4 роки тому +4

      55 sts makes a 16" pillow, but I'd recommend using a 16" pillow form to make a 12 or 14" pillow. So for those sizes, you'd start with 43 or 47 sts respectively.

    • @mooglyblog
      @mooglyblog  4 роки тому +1

      Yes, but it will mean you need to change the hook size, and you'll end up with a smaller square, so I suggest you crochet the cover before you decide what size of pillow form to purchase. :)
