Thank you for sharing this wonderful video. Back in 1986 I bought a new Monte Carlo and drove my then girlfriend from NY to the Grand Canyon to propose. We picked up Route 66 in Missouri and took it all the way to Arizona. Fortunately she said "yes" otherwise it would have been an awkward ride back to NY. Thirty-five years later that Monte Carlo is still sitting in the garage and my wife and I still reminisce about that trip along Route 66. Thank you for the memories!
Traveled through Seligman in 2017 heading back east. We stayed at the Historic Route 66 motel overnight, with the horse out front (recommended!). You brought back fun memories! Thank you! 🙏 Love your videos, and watch every one! Keep up the great work. 🤗😷♌️
👍👍 My favorite small town on Route 66. The little gift shop you entered, probably noticed it was also an barber shop. That shop is owned by Angel Delgadillo. He is 94 years old and rides his bicycle everyday to his shop. Thanks to hIm, we can enjoy Route 66. He founded Route 66 Association of Arizona and got the funding from the government to restore Route 66 in Arizona. Then 7 other states followed Angel's footsteps and now it is one big Route 66 Association which covers all 8 states.
My grand kids ask is Russ buying us all Ice cream lol thanks for taking us along on the journey riding shotgun with RVTV great video travel well sir Lance and family

🙋♀️Hello Russ! Beautiful day for enjoying sights from the past. Root beer float sounded good to me. Loved the old police car. Road trip ready 👍snacks packed. 😊Enjoy the rest of your evening.
Thank you for your videos. I went to N Arizona last weekend and I stopped in many places you have visited. I had so much fun. I would have not done it without your videos. 😊
We do Road Kill Cafe every time we travel I40. One time we stayed at their motel, just to stay at a Route 66 motel. It was small but clean. It also gave us time to drive from Kingman to Saligman. Fun drive. For those who haven't been Grand Canyon Cavern. That is a fun place to stop. Kara and Nate spent the night there.
Say Hi to Lilo from Silvia in Gilroy at Westside Lilo's Cafe across the street from the Roadkill next to the Dollar Store. Lilo has really good German American Food. She once traded her cafe for a year with my German friends from Blaichach/Bavaria who ran the restaurant that was my grandmother's many years ago. It was on German TV. Lots of Germans on motorcycles visit her place ever since. The pies and Schnitzel are to die for LOL. Next year we are planning a AZ vacation with our RV and will definitely stop by.
Very much enjoyed the walk around Seligman. We are headed to Arizona in June and looking so forward to checking out all these sites first hand. We appreciate you taking us along on your journey.
Where the old green VW bus parked. At the Copper Cart, Normallly there is a guy named Dale with a couple of horses and some rifles along with a cowboy hat. He sets you a of them and lets you take pictures for donation to buy the rescued horsed food. He is awesome and crazy too. Also ue speaks perfect Spanish, he lived in Mexico for a while. Pay him a visit if you guys go to Seligman.
TOO COOL FOR SCHOOL 😁 Thank you , Sir for another great & awesome video / tour along old ROUTE 66 ~ Seligman , Az Enjoy all of your journeys and always appreciate letting us all tag along . I’ve got some places to go & see thanks to you and your great scenic tours and commentary !! 🌵☀️ Arizona has SO much to see ~

I wish I had a better memory good as I see things here I sort of remember them but not real good but I remember there by the snowcap all these cars Gathering and somebody had a really small car good so small I don't even know how it got in and out of it Goodbye by memories today are kind of vague
Thanks Russ. Very timely. My wife and I are traveling RT40 west heading to Joshua Tree National Park. We are traveling on sections of Historic Route 66 on the way. Staying tonight in a campground on historic ROUTE 66 tonight just east of Albuquerque. Heading toward Petrified Forest and Winslow tomorrow. We'll try to catch the section thru Seligman in a few days. Looks like a really neat town. Thanks for the video. 👍👍😁
My Dad Bill Swan made a lot of iconic fiberglass statues which are placed along Route 66 he made Paul Bunyan,Bobs big boy, horses, cows and other statues that can be seen in short Amazon ebook for only 14.99 called "The man behind the mufflerman ".
Yeah they just do patch work on highway.. I live 15 west of Seligman in the desert and Seligman likes to charge 2-3 times more than Walmart just 70 miles west of Seligman…. Great for tourist, not so much for us that live here…

Awesome part of the Route 66 heritage. It's sad tho that other than passing traffic the place appears to be a ghost town. Nobody on the sidewalks, no visable active shoppers. It's really sad because of all the effort and hard work the vendors have put in it.
I live in Seligman az, where the merchants like to stick to the ppl that live here Double even triple the prices anywhere else… dang typical tourist… Welcome…
In 1968, I purchased chewing tobacco on our way to a dig for the Peccary Society and it# museum at Webb School of California. The chew was awful tasting - burning the lips.
Hey just ask God to drop some snow or rain there. Still snowing in Wyoming. That will water that land. Got to get 3 to 4 feet of snow cap in those Mountains Russ
This city never had the amount of traffic to sustain the gentrified tourism they need to survive. Most of the Arizona cities along I-40 except Flagstaff are fairly impoverished and have not much reason to exist except for historical significance.
So Cool!
Bucket list has another Notch!

Best town on ROUTE 66
Root beer floats!
I totally gave up soda pop for some 4 years now, but I dream of an A&W frosty mug root beer back in the day!
Mike
Thanks Russ another stop on my bucket list. It's 15 pages long now thanks to you.
Exactly!

Howdy Russ!👍
First time on Route 66 was in 1959. Only remember the Jack Rabbit Trading Post and hearing Waterloo on the radio by Stonewall Jackson.
Hey Russ!!! "COOL" Town to "VISIT"!!! Be Safe!!!

Delgadillos grandson now runs the gift shop and is full of amazing stories
That was really cool, thank you.....
Back in the 70s and 80s I trucked across there , running out of Missouri to California every week.
My grand kids ask is Russ buying us all Ice cream lol thanks for taking us along on the journey riding shotgun with RVTV great video travel well sir Lance and family

Delux Inn was a nice place to stay
Thanks for Sharing! Beautiful Colorful tree. Call me from phone booths. Hahaha....lol.
Don't forget to stop at the Snowcap for ice cream
We came out of St. LOUIS on a tour bus in 2004. The Movie "Cars" had this area in it.
Debs husband says I have been through there several times. It's a really neat town and the route 66 drive to Kingman is very enjoyable.
the motel and the gas station and the pool hall belonged to my grand father Juan Dellgadillo back in the days gone by
BRAVO.
I'm old enough to remember pre-I-40 days and having to slow down through this town up to the last.
Thanks well done. We all need to go there and reminisce!
Bonjour --- Merci de me faire visiter votre beau Pays -- Grand merci de France -- Alain

Seligman. A must-do-stop for all fans of Route 66!
I drove that section last year on way back from GC.
Nice Road Trip
Takes you way back. Reminds me of the famous Tommy's Joynt in San Francisco. Buffalo stew hit the spot.
Tommy’s joint was the best. I’m from San Francisco, I miss the old times
Now it’s just a big show cuz of pelosi..
Love Seligman!!
nice road Russ Rt 66!!!
Thank you so much for this video, my era. My first car was a '51 Chevy built like a tank.

We stopped at the Roadkill Cafe in 2019 on our way out to Utah. Great place.
I will be in Seligman in May to spread some of my dad's ashes. He passed away April 2020. He was a MASSIVE nut of Route 66. And that was his wish.
Road Kill has excellent food.....be sure to try it

Been there it is a great stop. You should go to oatman from kingman it is part of the oldest rte 66 and it is a beautiful drive.
When traveling in that area in 2k17
Enjoyed my visit to the cemetery
Have heard that many of the National Parks are by reservation and appointments!!
It's good to get your kicks on Route 66.
Passionné de véhicules ancêtres, heureux de découvrir une ville qui porte le même nom que le mien mais avec un N en moins !
I live here! Love this town
You should've gone into the Snow Cap and said hi to the Delgadillo's.
very nice video, Thanks a lot

I stopped in Willams RT66 years ago. Would Love to drive from Cal. To Oklahoma RT66 one day.
Broke down and got towed to Seligman. Spent the night at the Rout 66 motel and had dinner at The Road Kill. The place stays busy.
Estive em seligman 2023 , lugar singular, abraços ao "guitar"

it has become pretty tourist-y...........
I’m down here in Kingman waiting for the next part! Planning on going up from here on 66. Looking to see if my WYSIWYG will make the drive.
Coming in from Flagstaff you should have taken Crookton Rosd which is Route 66.
In Oregon some say "why did the chicken cross the road--to show the possum it could be done!"
"Don't do it mr chicken,(cross the road)you'll never live it down".🐓🐔🐤
Did you know that the town of Radiator Springs in the movie Cars was patterned after Seligman.
The town that wouldn’t die with the building of I 40
This lovely town is famous due to PIXAR animation's car characters were inspired in old rusty cars in here.
BRAVO.
Can't wait for the road trip! How far East are you going this year???
I’d be trying out that taco joint!!
Don’t forget about Oatman
We ate in the Roadkill cafe. Wasn’t too bad!
Look at the bees on your back!
This is a must stop
I had a bison burger at the Road Kill Cafe
Yummy
Looks like a crabapple tree! :)
So, let me get this straight. You can get a buffalo burger at the Road Kill restaurant when someone hits a buffalo ?.
👍👍😊
I was born in Seligman in 1945.
How anybody could possibly lose a 1964 Chevy Impala SS, is beyond me. How the fk could that happen? Its just beyond me

Why did the chicken cross the road? To avoid the colonel.
