Wow. Loved how after so many decades, this man does his job with such pride and love and care. Today, we live hustling all the time, looking to make more and more money, rarely sticking to the same job. I've had 12 jobs by now, each subsequently better than the one before. This man lived in a time when America was truly great. And you could choose to do the same thing for decades on end, and keep your family comfortable. Last time someone could pay off college with a part time job, was 1978. Loved this video. Very nice to see this man do what he loves. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Some of the older barbers still charge the 12 dollars for a cut and shave. But it's sad that some people don't understand that inflation affects everyone and now people think 20 or 30 dollars for a cut is too much but when you have a barber that values his work and gives you the value, it's worth well the price.
Im one of his souvenir suppliers. During the summer tour buses full of Europeans flood his gift shop on a daily basis. The name of his store is Delgadillo Memorabilia. That little gift shop makes crazy money.
I lost count how many times I have watched this video. Anytime I am stressed or frustrated with the world then I watch it. Seems like people go to him and the world ceases to exist. He's a positive person and it shows. His generation really understood suffering especially as kids.
Been keepin up with ya harry. This one touched my heart. That gentleman reminds me of my father. And an era of quality, attention to detail, work ethic and customer satisfaction. And on route 66. Double bonus. Thanks Harry. G

Whenever I would go to PA to visit my grandparents, there was guy, Henry, I think his name was, that had a small, hole in the wall barbershop, working at the same place for about 70 years. I was about 7 or 8 years old when my grandpa first went there and he was one of the friendliest, coolest guys I've ever met. Since then, about every time I was there, my grandpa and I would go and get our haircut there whether we needed it or not, which was funny, because my grandpa was about 3/4 bald and he would always joke about his "13 hairs" he needed to get trimmed. The world needs more people like these men, God bless their souls.
As a European this is the type of thing that makes me really love and respect America. But having been there once and reading the daily culture war nonsense it seems that gentlemen like this and traditions like this are dying.
The small towns of rural america still have some semblance of these interactions and mannerisms, but like you said sadly they are becoming rarer each day.
The traditions are dying but you can find people that still like what they do that are older and are good at it, also depends where you go to get your haircut, you can get shoulder massage, beard trim/cut and a haircut all for 25$ where I go- sportsclips

It truly is. The only issue is barbers now days aren’t very good or consistent. You get a real barber that knows what he’s doing, the feeling from this shave is just amazing.
Yes also doctors I go get my arm amputated when I get a paper cut
With the exception of medicine, education, technology, social progress, and a load of other things.
Love how he says a real barber, lol, not too many now days I am learning from Tim Hite 90 year old master barber, classic barbering freehand and shaving
lucianoromero777 I also had the opportunity to train under Mr. Hite
lucianoromero777. Shame that didn't want to chat. Boring 💤 guy
lucianoromero777 you must also be from here in Utah. Sadly Mr. Hite died not long ago. He was one of the if not arguably the best barber. He proved his skills and received much recognition and accolades for the quality of his skills in competitions against other Master barbers.
I don't mind having a wet shave from any of you guys. too bad my country don't have that. I'd come regularly. The reason being an effective shave and a nice start on a week or month
PIMPs too
I have tears of joy in my eyes. This man is absolutely great. A master of his craft, and an extremely pleasant person. When he asked if he was washing good behind the ears I had to laugh out loud... Were you ever shaved by a REAL Barber? I really hope that this great man still lives and continues to swing his razor blade. I wish we had such a barber in Germany !!!

You can keep your fancy, high-end boutiques. I'll take this kind of shave over them any day.
Not_at_all_argumentative stfu
ChrisMasterGTAS What's your problem?
actualy those fancy boutiques are all the same. some unskilled barbers doing pre shave, shave massage but when they take the razor in the hand they cant do shit. something is acting to be a barber and something is to actualy know how to handle a strait razor.
gpb lies. They are all trained in their craft.
A F but can they master that craft?
what a graceful man this barber, to me its a rare find in this crazy hectic world.. lucky you be able to experience that

Harry, based on your video, took my two boys here while out west. Angel did not disappoint. I only hope I'm this happy and healthy at his age. What a gem.

It's called a strop. It's standard for any sharp blade, even knives, it just keeps them sharp in between full sharpens with a stone.
in the UK we have a saying about someone 'getting into a strop', meaning getting beaten up metaphorically speaking.
Adam Chambers No it* doesn't. Being in a strop in the UK means being grumpy, throwing a paddy, temper tantrum.
Adam Chambers in my neck of the woods getting in to a strop means being moody and irritable.

I got some great pics & video of his shop & it just an honor to see it in person. Congrats on all ur awards Angel!! One of the coolest experiences in my life for sure!
That man is no barber. He is an artiste!
They are out there, but you’re not going to run into them.. they cashed out of that rat race.
Us small town folk are all still like this. Im 19 and I can tell you it won’t change that much in small towns for a long
time
The traditions are dying but you can find people that still like what they do that are older and are good at it, also depends where you go to get your haircut, you can get shoulder massage, beard trim/cut and a haircut all for 25$ where I go- sportsclips
The culture war exists 99% on the internet. As I will now display in my next comment.
