    Mike, this would seem to be a great product. In the past, the Casio sounds were on the “thin” side of tonal richness but with this instrument I think Casio may have finally “cracked” it to have a budget instrument that competes well with Yamaha, Roland and Korg. Big congratulations to the sound and electronics engineers that have made this amazing product a reality. I’m sure this will be a big commercial success.

      Larry Richards To change tones while the rhythm is playing, you must save your rhythm, tempo and first tone in, let’s say, Reg 1, then the same rhythm and tempo with your second tone in Reg 2. Recall Reg 1 to start your song, then recall Reg 2 in the middle of the song when you want to change tones.

      Unfortunately you can’t control the volume of the Main, Split and Layer voices individually. If you need that function you must either upgrade to the CT-X3000, go look for a Yamaha PSR E363 or 463 which has this function, or if you know how to use a DAW, try to control the CT-X700 from your DAW but this is somewhat complicated if you don’t master MIDI.

      @@kaushiksarkar4073 I had the same problem, I chose ctx 700 because it had better electric and grand piano tunes, which was what I was mainly looking for. (although this is objective) It was also significantly easier to get where I live and also cheaper by about 20-30$. I also suggest you compare what ports the keyboards have and what you need or don't need, some people say Casio keyboards are less friendly and harder to use, but I personally didn't have any problems and these tutorials are also very helpful.

    • @matpac_
      @matpac_ 6 років тому

      @@kaushiksarkar4073 Well e363 and ctx700 both have different functions and sound is objective. From what I've gathered Yamaha has better sounding other instruments like brass, drums, etc but Casio is better with grand piano and especially electric. Although this is objective, so I suggest you watch a video on youtube comparing them. If you are just learning (like me) it doesn't really matter that much, It just has to be good and cheap enough for you to be able to start learning, went from an old crappy untuned piano to Casio and it was absolutely amazing. I have never heard how the e363 sounds personally so what I was saying might not be accurate, its just something that I heard from other people ;)
      Also about functions, with the ctx700 you can't make the right or left side of the keyboard have separate volume, but there are also a few things that e363 doesn't have, I don't remember what exactly tho. Overall THE best beginner keyboard is actually e463, it has everything, very good sound and functions, but is also significantly more expensive than the other 2.
      I didn't end up researching this that much myself since ctx700 was the only choice for me cause there were no shops selling the e363 in my town, and ordering one online would be too expensive.
      EDIT: I heard that some keyboards might not come with the power adapter, but I can 100% guarantee you that ctx700 does come with one :)

      All the CT-X series keyboards use the same AiX sound source, so the default Grand Piano sample will be the same across all models. The CT-X3000 and 5000 models offer a larger selection of preset tones and more options for modifying the presets with effects, as well as the ability to transfer custom User Tones to the keyboard as .TON files via the CT-X Data Manager software.

      In other words, If the GENOS from YAMAHA attempted the SAME thing as the 5000, they'd go fucking BROKE!!!!

  • @philippequenin6656

    Hello everyone, hello Mike. Can you tell me how the new Aix sounds are compared to the sounds of the MZ-X serie ? Better ? Equivalent ?

    • @chillwalker
      @chillwalker 6 років тому +1

      Let me say ONE thing: Had the MZ-X3000 here. For ONE Day. Thew features are amazing...but it sounds like crap. I am a professional Composer. I thought about buying a arranger workstation to get inspired in Songwriting without dealing arranging it. To focus just on composition. But I cannot do this when the intern Sounds and rythms...juist sound like cheap Casio.
      Its like putting a Ferrari body on a Fiat base. Shiny, handsome....but dont you ever switch the key. There is a reason why the MZ-X300 is now sold for under Store purchasing prize...and the MZ-X5000 kinda vanished.... I guess some "extra smart young marketing genius, fresh from some exclusive Business College had lost his first gig too. But, hey, maybe he finally has the time to learn to play an Instrument...like tambourine ;-)
      So far i heard, comparison between the old MX to the new AIX Series Key

    • @philippequenin6656
      @philippequenin6656 6 років тому

      I have an opposite feeling concerning the MZ-X300 : the sounds are great (they are far better than my Yamaha PSR-E453, so if the Casio MZ sounds like a toy, how can we call the Yamaha ? a joke ? And I think the Yamaha has decent sounds for the price). I'm more disappointed by the "body" of the MZ that give the impression of lower quality than the "cheap" Yamaha... But I'm not a professional, and I have no idea of the sound quality of a high-end arranger. I don't think that there is a so big difference between the AIX sounds and the one in the MZ-X : au contraire, it seems that the CT line has inherited of the better sound of the MZ line, maybe with some improvments here and there... This is why I am curious to hear about the difference from someone who knows the 2 instruments.

    • @philippeclausen9180
      @philippeclausen9180 6 років тому +1

      I have at last tried a CT-X700 in a shop yesterday and AIX sounds are MUCH better.
      MZX has great features and screen, but imo very poor quality basic and acoustic instruments. It does have some nice synth sounds though.

    • @chillwalker
      @chillwalker 6 років тому

      Thats my Opinion to...I dont understand the instrument. Send my mzx3000 back.....
      You cannot use one single sound

    • @philippequenin6656
      @philippequenin6656 6 років тому

      I also have the opportunity to test a CT-X800 a few days ago, the sounds are great but I didn't notice a real improvment over the MZ-X300. But I must admit that the little speakers of the CT-X800 are maybe the reason I was not impressed.
