S1 - Ep 99-Abandoned buildings in the Tankwa Karoo at Uintjiesbos

- After descending the Gannaga Pass we came across the amazing abandoned mud buildings in the Tankwa Karoo National Park at a place called Uintjiesbos. I had to stop and explore these beautiful old structures. I really do hope that they get a second lease on life. There was a back-and-forth conversation with a donkey on this gravel road too. Further down the trail we came across the Tankwa Farm Stall which was rather unique. It even has its own giant flying saucer! Then, we saw some hikers doing the Tankwa Camino Hiking Trail before arriving at our accommodation for the evening. #DustBugs #adventuretravel #southafrica #southafricavlog #karoo #tankwakaroo #uintjiesbos #renaultkwid #tankwacamino

Lovely the donkeys always welkom you. Great
Luckily they talked back this time, we love them so much. 🐴
Love the donkeys 😂😂😂😂😂😂
We love them too! And so happy they decided to talk back! 🐴
Very good imitation of a donkey! Inhospitable land for many, but so beautiful! Quite breathtaking.
😁 I just love chatting to the donkeys and am always so surprised when they answer. 🐴 The bad roads in this park were soon forgotten and all we could remember was that we were alone and the silence. Priceless memories those.
Love the padstal. So many interesting things. The old ruins are so vibey. That corrugated road should have a warning for those wearing dentures! Thanks for a very entertaining video.
That padstal is something else! 😁 Not only does it have incredibly interesting artifacts outside, it takes one way back to the times of an old general dealer where you still asked for sweets over the counter and the shopkeeper had to count them out. Super cool place! 😎 That road was never-ending and one of the most-corrugated we've travelled on to date. Luckily our dentures made it! 🚗🤭😬
We also spent time at the old school and buildings during our last stay in the Tankwa... very interesting... to think there stayed people there...
Exactly! 👌🏻 It's great to get a glimpse into how the ones who came before us lived.
It's so wonderful, wish to be there
I don't blame you one bit. It's a wonderful part of South Africa. So remote and desolate, yet so incredibly beautiful. Thank you for watching! 🤩🚗
