I did the same Chris, I looked at my Schlumbergera and it's full of buds too. I'm so jealous of you having a sunny window, what a great idea that was to convert a wardrobe organiser into a stand. Everything looks so pretty ! 💚🌿
Thanks musicalmarion. The closet organizer was Suzettes idea. WE talked a lot about hers and then I found ont to buy locally. I will say the store loaded it into the car for me. I had to take the box apart and bring it into the house a few pieces at a time. So heavy. It is working out really well though. It is 4 foot long and I think 18 inches wide. I added an extra shelf from one of my other plant stands on the right side as seen in the video. Hose clamps are my friend. They work great to hold it in place. I guree being it is late to get cold here and my addled brain I just was not realising how late in the year it had gotten. Thanks so much for watching.
Hi, Chris - everything is looking beautiful! I always envy all your windows...the jungle cactus "jungle" is awesome! You're not the only one who lost track of time - all my holiday cacti are in bud now, too, and I wondered why🤦🏽♀️Having such a weird weather summer didn't help - we've been going up and down in temps for weeks, from 40's to 80's and back again. Hard to tell what time of year it it is😅Anyway, thanks for sharing - your space is soothing to spend time in. 👏🏽💚🪴💚👏🏽
Thank you Lisa for your sweet comments. This is a manufactured home so we had options or I took it on to be sure the bedrooms had the larger sized windows. Especially since we had stretches put through all three bedrooms. The small windows would have made the rooms too dark. And then enclosing the one end of the front porch added three more windows. As crazy as the weather has been this fall it could make for an interesting winter. Thanks so much for watching.
Your baby whale fins are cute ❤.. my Baltic Blue is also fenistrating after I put her into higher light. I also cut the runners off of mine and pitched them .. lol.. 😊
Hi Chris! Your setups are looking wonderful....yes it is pretty much Nov! I got all my plants inside....left them out too long....lost two hoyas...and another one is going....I am so mad.....spots all over my neon pothos....mad at that too.....but so it gkes sometimes....it is a busy time of year....season change always takes alot out of me.....like your videos as always even the random ones! Long hugs......love tina
Hi Tina. Bummer on the plants getting nipped. I have heard hoyas are especially sensitive to cold. Or maybe it was just some of them. I do remember before the sun porch and I would put my plants out for the summer it could so suddenly turn cold here. I just made it a point to get everyone washed down and neemed by Aug 15th and get them all back inside. It was a lot easier when I could take my time. What I found baffling is it was always so much harder to find space for all of them. Either they grew so much outside or my brain just could not remember where I had them before going out or I moved my furniture around again. HA. As I was watering today I was picking out a few that are ready to go away. Most are from cuttings that are well rooted enough to send on to their new homes. Saving cardboard boxes so I can protect them before taking them out in the cold. Thanks for watching.
Wow...your cat is brave!!!! Mine loves to jump up to high places, but even she wouldn't try that....too many plants in the way. Good thing you have the rail!!!! Everything looks beautiful. I'm envious of your Thanksgiving Cactus.
@@ThePinkTrellis Yes he sure is and how he can do so much plant damage so fast. He just knocks stuff over his little sister chews leaf edges and their other brother ignores the plants.
Good grief you're getting the temperature drops early too this year. We were @ 38* here this morning in Arizona! Yes! 😲 Two weeks ago we were in the 90s!!! 😮 I think it's Sansevieria growth time. My snakes have new growth too! Yay on the Thanksgiving cactus. My white one is covered in buds I noticed this morning. I have four more colors to show themselves. They are my beautiful forest. Just love them so much! ☺️
I keep trying to get a white one . Now I am out of room so oh well. Actually it is late for the cold here. First killing frost was just a few days ago. Often there is a killing frost in August and almost always September. So this is really late. Thanks for watching!!!
@@sharonholmes4444 The snow is already here up on the mountain tops. I love the snow though. Even when I have to go out and shovel it. Good exercise and Ithink it helps to keep me feeling better.
Well I think it is the combination of better lighting as in bright indirect and trellis and chopping back the runners. If runners start up again I will only give it a three node run before I chop it back and back the node before the run away. Thanks for watching! I hope it works for you.
@@TheQueensWish Just do not put it too close to a grow light. Move it towards it slowly so it can adjust. My West window it is in now is also a little bit blocked by trees. About an hour of evening sun shin in and that is it. I do have the white 6500K LED tubes on the ceiling of my sun porch. Plants seem to be doing well with them.

I liked your video. Is trellising the key to less runners and more fenestrations? I’m trying to keep my Baltic fenestrated as well.
