  • Fighting hair loss? Your newsfeed is probably overwhelming you with the latest cure, breakthrough, or product disrupting the hair growth industry.
In this video, we'll separate fact from fiction, reveal what does (and doesn't) regrow hair, and strategies to fix hair loss from the comfort of your own home. We'll accomplish this by following a step-by-step framework: assess, act, and adjust your plan based on data.
    Assess
    - Understand the different hair loss types (androgenic alopecia, telogen effluvium, scarring alopecia, etc.)
    - How to get a hair loss diagnosis (and dominate your dermatology appointment)
    - How to perform a quick at-home test to assess your hair loss
    - What are the different factors that cause hair loss, and how to rank them
    - Analyze treatment targets based on three key metrics: regrowth potential, evidence quality, and long-term viability
    Act
    - FDA-approved treatments (Finasteride and Minoxidil)
    - Natural interventions (Microneedling, Topical & Oral Saw Palmetto, Topical Melatonin, Topical Stemoxydine, Topical Redensyl, Capixyl, and Procapil, Topical Caffeine, Topical Adenosine, Topical Rosemary Oil, Topical & Oral L-Carnitine)
    Adjust
    - Double down on 5-alpha reductase inhibition (Oral & Topical Dutasteride)
    - Antagonize androgen receptors (Fluridil, CB-03-01, Spironolactone)
    - Resolve Scalp Inflammation (Ketoconazole)
We hope this video helps you make more informed choices, prioritize treatments that work, and get the best results possible.

I am not losing my hair, and don't have any of these symptoms of alopecia only my mother's uncle is bald but sometimes I'm worried about this mainly because UA-cam recommends me stuff about hair loss and because I just don't want to lose it now in my 30's. BUT I will take this guide in case I need it in the future. Thank you very much!

I'm so grateful I found your channel, Rob! Your videos are incredibly informative and have given me a much deeper understanding of hair problems and the hair industry.
However, I would love to see your content translated into indian language Hindi. Having access to this information in my native language would be invaluable for myself and many others in India, where unfortunately, the market is flooded with fake hair products and misleading advice from dermatologists. By providing clear and honest information in Hindi, you could truly make a positive impact on our community.
    Love From India,

Awesome information! Thank you for putting this together. I did have a question on the Retinoic acid though. Some minoxidil solutions combine retinoic acid with topical finasteride (so you get all 3 ingredients in one topical). Do you think this will increase the systemic absorbtion of the Finasteride? I don't think there has been research on this combo specifically

That's the greatest, most informative, well edited, unbiased video on how to deal with hair loss. Loved the video.
I'm 18M. I have been losing hair since I was 14, as soon as I hit puberty. My hair got so thin. Now I'm on finasteride and my hair looks finer and my hair loss almost stopped. My hair appears thicker, the bald spots are not that noticable. I feel so confident. Hope to see better results. I have watched all of your videos. Thank you sir.

Hey Rob, a question for you..
If i chose to do blood tests to check my testosterone levels, what percent of DHT is normal and what is not, and also if the bood test is gonna help me know my DHT levels so that i can take action accordingly by determining whether if it is telogen effluvium or androgenic alopecia..?
Your reply will be much appreciated, Thank you so much for the video!

very informative vid, thank u! I do much of what you mention: I use minoxidil daily, 1mg finasteride, saw palmetto, biotin and derma micro-needling. I do use nioxin shampoo too. I recently bought the kind that is the stamp and not the roller. I think you potentially can pull out good hairs with the roller. I found a good stamp kind (you just press down and not roll it) that has adjustable needle depth on amazon. Occasionally, I'll use fresh aloe juice from the plant. My hair has definitely gotten thicker and I can see new growth at various stages. These interventions don't work overnight, it's a constant battle. I started lsing my hair in my late 20s and I'm in my 50s now. So reversing it the best I can will take time and patience

I might’ve missed it, tried watching back a 2nd time. If I do topical finasteride, and oral minoxidil for 24 months; will I have to continue using it after the treatment period to maintain the regrowth?
I was considering doing microneedling as well, I’ve heard derma rollers can cause follicle damage because of the angle they indent the skin, some even say even derma pens can damage the follicle not sure if this is true.
Best video on youtube compiling it all together btw thank you 🙏🏽

I've been doing scalp massages for over a year (when i first saw you video), but sadly only once/day (since i commute to work, it's quite hard to do it 2 times/day). Saw some improvements, mostly regarding hair thickness (even measured thickness under a microscope and it bumped from around ~31 um to around ~45+ um), and some density. Now i've started using the dermapen and also got into pumpkin seed oil pills (to lower the DHT level a bit). As a fellow researcher, I love your videos. Have a great day !

I appreciate the scalp massages you've recommended, and I've noticed positive changes. Recently, I've been particularly focused on addressing the chronic tightness in the muscle groups connected to the galea. This emphasis on muscle groups,in addition to scalp tissue remodeling, has led to significant improvements. The most suprising muscle that made the biggest differnce was my tongue. I'm curious if there's a platform where individuals are actively sharing progress and exchanging ideas, especially regarding the importance of these muscle groups.

Hey there, I’m also interested in this whole unexplored realm of “scalp massages” . I have roughly been doing it for like an year but I’m guilty of not being very consistent with it so because of that I’ve got mixed opinions about it.
Do you mind sharing your personality experience of scalp massages and whether /how it helped you? And also what specific areas u targeted the most, types of massages done, etc? Thanks :))

    • @DblTapSlapMcGap
      @DblTapSlapMcGap 4 місяці тому

@@khawarjahanzeb5383 I have had limited success with the techniques in the video because I found the galea, and the muscles attachments are chronically tight because of bad posture, neck tension, trapezoid tension, jaw tension, and with jaw tension come pelvic floor dysfunction. the way Rob compared the scalp was when you bend your knuckle it becomes tight and white from lack of blood flow. But rubbing your knuckle can only help so much, you need to relax the finger first. The most beneficial thing for me so far has been deep breathing through my nose, until I create a strong vacuum that pulls my tongue back and up to the top of my mouth, making my throat air tight, I use all that pressure to fill lungs and expand my throat and use that expansion to release my jaw. Once my jaw relaxes, I can relax my subbocitpitol, and my brow. I can feel the blood pumping from behind my jaw up through temporal artery. Then I massage my galea and the surrounding muscles. I have gone from a nw7 to having my hair line back but it's still very diffused. I posted on Reddit but the community hates any thing not fin related. it's filled with fin bros.

I experienced the thing with being coaxed immediately into PRP. It did seem to work, although not completely clear how much as I was also on a finasteride + minoxidil foam.
And I agree that I saw the same results when I continued with the microneedling (and kept the topicals) after I ditched the expensive PRP.

He talks a lot about drugs because people generally trust pharma companies more than alternative treatments.
