Prop Valve & Battery Relocation H22 Civic

- Hope everyone is safe and healthy. In today's episode, I work on a list of tasks to get this H22 Civic closer to being on the road. Primarily the 2 main things of focus on this episode are the battery and proportioning valve relocation. First the battery relocation for the Civic. I started by purchasing a 1 gauge 15' welding wire, along with some terminal connections and copper crimp fittings. The battery is located in the trunk, still awaiting a box to enclose it to make it safe for inside use in a car. I decided to build my own terminal distribution post out of some scrap heavy-duty plastic. I ran the lead power from the back to that newly built terminal and redistributed power to the fuse box and starter. The other project was going to be bleeding the brake line. Though after running into a leak on one of the 10mm brake line fittings my progress was quickly halted due to the human error of myself overtightening one of the fittings, causing damage to the proportioning valve. Luckily I was able to find a new one on short notice which allowed me to fix the problem. When swapping in an H22 into an EK Civic you are extremely limited in the back against the firewall. Fitting a hand is almost near impossible. So it gave me the idea to relocate the proportioning valve upwards by roughly 4 inches which I can now say will save me future maintenance struggle. I tackled a bunch of small things along the way in this episode too, fuse box repaint, radiator bracket reconstruction, hood latch respray, wire harness management, ground connection reconstruction, interior panel installation and more.

Man it is soooo close! Solid fab work and not letting this bogus quarantine stop you. Can't wait to see the finished product! Cheers
Clean ride man👌
excellent progress
Hello from Greece!
Shame the interior is in, really wanted to see that! Also new subscriber, already all caught up in 3 days! Great work and inspiration!
Thank you for the like! You have inspired me to finally go get myself an ej9 also to start a project car that I've just put off for years. I hope I can share this with you soon!
Which ports on the prop valve go to the front and to the rear along with the ports on the slave cyl?
Bon travail, continue 👍
I like the head liner hell yeah
hello thre ! What porp valve did you use ? a non abs rear disk one??
I scanned your vids, what's the brake setup on this EJ6? I'm at the point where I am replacing everything on mine. I'm wondering for those that stay 9.5" front and swap rear disks, what prop valve do people use? There was nothing OE for this gen with that particular combo.
Hey man, I have a black "leather" Ek steering wheel with the airbag and all the connections you can have if you pay the shipping! I live down the 401 from ya so shipping shouldn't be too much. Sucks all the u pull yards are closed because of quarantine
Dm me a photo to my instagram please
