Thanks for this suuuuuper specific video for us super specific nerds! Not gonna think twice about this Opteka one ^^ they are so damn close in this video (looking at the fixed stuff in the room, they are almost identical) Cheers
@@Dileo99 thanks I got a Vx2000 and just got a SonyHDR FX7 couple months ago I went with the opteka lens for the fx7 I already got a opteka for the Vx2000 and pretty satisfied thanks G and keep the footy coming 👍🏽😊

I think he's using a step up ring or two because the opteka lens uses a 58mm thread size - meaning it has to be adapted to fit the camera thread size of 52mm
@@CALBeatonskating yeah, you can get them new on ebay, they're weirdly expensive though (mine were like €10 a piece). and yes they do make the lens a bit wider however i recommend putting only one spacer on the lens as 2 of them create too much vig
Sweet comparison video. Gives a great image on how similar they are.
The MK2 is almost the same wideness as the opteka, yet the MK2 is sharper in the corners
Ben Jones dude i think the same
@Ben Jones bro now i think that both lenses are exactly the same, the wideness is the same if you look correctly and the corners are the same 👍
Their the same but the MK2 looks sharper because of the hood
@@imnotsurewhy okay maybe its 5% sharper but its most definitely not worth the 90% price increase finding them in 2k23

You can see the cromatic aberration correction in the mk looking at the desk at the letf
Wattup G I also film vx I have the opeteka fisheye is the MK2 worth getting ?
hey bro! not worth it, the mk2 and opteka 58mm is the same

yes bro with firewire

Which fisheyes fit perfect on the vx 2000 with out any down rings ?
Doser Heads MK1 fit perfect on the vx2000 only with 1 ring (bayoring) the mk2 and opteka need rings on the VX
Dileo99 ok thank you if I was to get the opteka for my VX what size rings would I have to get. I am very new to cameras so I don’t know what to get
Doser Heads i invite you to follow me on my insta @warchicks, send me a DM and i’ll tell u about all the VX 🙌🛹
Dileo99 ok thank you I DM u on insta
Hey man I use an opteka lens for my vx2000 I don’t have so much of the blackened curves around the footy how do ensure that happens?
hi bro, get 2 spacer rings and you’ll have a good vignetting 👍
How did you get 1080 on the vx2000 ?
First, import as AVI DV video, 720x576. Then, convert the footage into mp4 1920x1080p, and upload on UA-cam.

Is opteka 52mm possible to fit with vx2000?
yes with a step down ring 58 - 52
hey man, i'm planning to get the opteka for my vx, but i don't understand why the 58mm over the 52mm, isn't the vx have a 52mm filter size ?

how did you capture this footage?
Through the camera then FireWire
yep guys with the firewire card on my windows pc and the cable to the camcorder, i also tried a mac apple and it is the same result
are there any spacers?
yes i use 2 spacers on my vx2000
yo man whats a bayoring?
hey bro the bayoring is a special ring for the century fisheyes
The camera is really good for it’s time
if i buy a 58mm will it fit on on my pd170 perfectly?
yes, the filter size on the pd170 is 58mm. same with the vx2000, vx2100 and pd150 as they are all sister models
I don't see any vignetting on my vx2000 when I put the opteka 58mm. Do you know how to set this up?
I put 2 rings on the fisheye to get away and to see the vignettes 👌
Dileo99 what two sized rings did you have to add for vig?? Great video btw. Thank you!
Who’sTurtle 2 spacer rings of 58mm, thanks bro! 👊
What’s this song called bro
pinback - june ✌️
Don’t know which one to get hmmmm
MK1 👌
I can’t find an mj 1 anywhere I found an mk 2 is it a good lens
I have the mk2 and it doesn't have vignette how come yours does?
you'd need some 58mm spacer rings, the opteka comes with one but the mk2 doesnt
