I just got the opteka 58mm one for my vx 2000 and I don’t know anything about spacer rings I know that the opteka comes with one spacer ring but how many should I use and how do they work I’m a newbie haha
if you want it to be wider and have more vignetting use 2 spacer rings

mannn i got the 58mm kapkur in just today but i feel like the whole lens / VAP unit will fall off cause of how heavy it is! especially with spacers because they just increase the stress on the lens. have you had any issues so far using it? i've seen some forum posts where the lens unit loosens up, and i know some people put tape around certain parts of it.
edit: after a while you get used to the weight, so it’s not that bad + some guy on UA-cam is rocking a 72mm on his vx which is just mental, really heavy, so 58mm should be nothing
Yoo , I’ve had this lens on my vx for the past year and 0 problems with that I rlly think that 6mm difference makes no changes to the weight I think if the vx2 can take 58mm the vx1 should as well for sure

@@charvao all you do is put it into the sd card slot and it should pop up. If you use the tapeless method he talked about it'll come with an adapter since its a micro sd. lmk if you got any more questions id be glad to help!
yo do any npf batteries work for vx2000
Yo bro I got a question for you, I just got my VX2100 the other day and whenever I put the tape in it and turn the camera on it makes like a noise and it’s in standby mode is this noise I’m hearing normal? It’s kind of a like little sound I can’t really explain it but when I take the tape out the noise stops whats your thoughts on this?
My vx2000 did this is it like a squeaking / mechanical sound ? It might be the lubrication on the tape cassette wheel is dryer up it won’t make a difffetnfe ngl
@@charvao yeah a mechanical sound it’s like a humming sound like a quiet humming sound and it makes the camera like vibrate a little
hey would u think that 43mm fisheye would be too small for the vx or 62mm too big because kapkur 52mm are out off stock

Do you know a good resource for the Japanese Vx like why is it so hard to find a translation of the in camera menu , and what’s the difference between the American wide shot and Japanese how do you know I’d steady cam is on or off , so annoying , thanks
really unsure on that maybe ask a camera resllser on instagram as they know everything about these cameras.
i have a japanese vx2100, and u can just look up the manual for the model you have, it really helped me, you will get use to it like muscle memory

I just looked into the clearclick, don’t buy it!! It doesn’t work wirelessly (it has to be plugged into a power source). You could pick this up if you wanted to rip a tape from your cam at home straight to sd but at that point you’d be better just buying a rip cam with your money. Hopefully someone will make a similar device to the immersion. I emailed immersion today and they said that the raw materials they need to make the device are in shortage across the world.
@@mcvillainy I use the clearclick 2.0 on my Canon GL2. For power you can use a power bank and a short micro usb cord. My power bank is flat so it is double sided taped to the bottom of my camera.
what spacer you use for the lens cuz i got the same one and it does not look nearly as 'circular' as yours
I got 58-52mm spacer and 2 other spacers on I got from eba

if you can’t afford a vx1/2 get a PD150/170!!! they’re less well known and less expensive on ebay (at least for me)
they are less overpriced
