Can you do life magazine next?
Can you tell us where locally we can treasure hunt for old magazines? Thiftstores but what about libraries?
Nothing's better than a day out "trash picking", you never know what you'll find because people throw out not only treasures but also the craziest and weirdest things sometimes.😁
I actually found two George magazine a couple of weeks ago while out trash picking and sold them for $130!
Woohooo, I was traveling from VA to SC today and stopped in an antique store in NC and found a George magazine with Barbara Walters on the cover for $4. Had I not watched your video, I would have never known. THANK YOU!
Incredible knowledge; thank you. Eyes wide open now.
Love this video! I work full time for a home products company in the corporate office and we consistently get multiple copies of designer magazines....I don't let any of them get tossed when the new issues come out and will bring them home to sell!
2:00 I love how we can see through the magazine because the word "George" is the same color as the green screen. Great video - thank you!
I just want to say.... I love your content ! You have taught me so much and opened my eyes to bigger better resale sales! I stared with clothes and completely stopped ( well at least purchasing to resell) thank you
Thank you for constantly expanding my knowledge. Truly appreciated.
I had no idea that magazines have that kind of value. Thanks!
Love the backdrop on this video!
I regret getting rid of all my Interview magazines from the 80’s. Great info thank you!
Thank you for this great video. I just came home from an estate sale and because I watched this a couple weeks back I went through an old pile of LIFE magazines. I found several with multiple sales over $50. Never would have given a 2nd look in the past. They cost me $1 each. I may go back at the end of the sale and offer $20 for the rest - probably 100 to 200 from 1936 to 1972.
Always eye-opening. Thanks Don!
I really like the backdrop for this episode.
Thank you for today’s lesson Prof! Off to do my homework.
Time to dig through my office!
Love your channel. I always learn something new.

I picked up a huge box of car and truck magazines in the free box at a garage sale. They made me over $100 selling them on ebay. Great information. Thanks for this video.

I have a small collection of Saturday Evening Post mags 1901-1973 and Hotrod mags 1961-1971, I’ll see if something in there is worth a couple of bucks. Good video, thank you!
I am an antique/Vintage reseller here in UK🇵🇭 Knowledge is Power. You are my Hero Don👊👏💪
Every one of your videos is informative. Thank you!
I learned something new from you again Don!
While standing in line tonight at the grocery store, I considered buying a monthly "womens" cooking magazine. $13.99. I put it back. But wow, guess it was a bargain compared to George, lol 😆
Wow! Such great info!
Thanks for the info, That's awesome!!!

I currently have a mint copy of George 1st issue listed for $250. On the high end of the sold comps but willing to wait. I did know about Feb 97 but have never found one. Thanks for the video.
Great info thank you! My BOLO list continues to grow. =)
The professor droppin science on this episode. I noticed I had a couple magazines that appreciated in value but I didnt realize some got so expensive.
I need to see what's in the boxes of magazines from my parents estate. They are in a storage unit just gathering dust.
Love the vintage commercial made me call my mom 🤩 “mom buy me this for my birthday” 😍
I will be looking in the town recycling bin.
Every video is a goldmine!
You are a treasure chest of information!
Just sold George magazine with Rob Lowe on cover for $55, sept 1999 issue. Fun sales for sure, thank you for highlighting
I just looked the George magazine up on ebay and the price slowly went higher every day. I let my friends know on Facebook about it.
Amazing!
Great video! I like.
Wow I had no idea. I'm a thrift store junkie myself...gonna be scouting more now. What a huge wealth of info here ! I remember when this magazine came out..it was the venture of john F. Kennedy Jr.
I've been selling Dungeons and Dragons Magazines I got super cheap at online auction - almost sold out now.
Thx for the great video!!!
Can you tell how you prepare the magazines and old studio photos from networks for mailing? We bought an older home and found a box of those studio stills from the 1960's shows up in the attic!!! YAY!!!!
Wow! Thanks
Wow! Amazing.
I sure would love to come across the very first issue with Cindy Crawford on it. Now that's going to be worth some money!
Very specific reasons for that magazine, as well as that particular issue going so high. Haven't always gone for that much, that's for sure. Nice buy =)
Thanks !!!!
Excellent.
😮...Mind blown once again...🤯
I remember George magazine but it hard to find
By George! That’s amazing. Great info, as always. I have a collection of Better Homes and Gardens, but probably worth nothing.
Amazing, thanks for the info Don. I thought of you when I bought a box of old photos last weekend. Mine are boring, be lucky to sell, but while browsing sold comps I found that old black and white gay guy photos are worth their weight in gold. Who knew.
Thank you so much for the bolo
Hey thanks for what you do you have opened my eyes to a whole world of treasures . My girl friend has a Cabagepatch doll 1983 black signature no box but in excellent condition with original clothing it's really hard for us to get it's TRUE value we know it was the first made.
Unfortunately, dolls as a whole have fallen out of favor over the last decade, and it is probably worth under $100. I have several original Cabbage Patch as well and I have seen them on eBay for as low as $60. My MIL collected dolls and I have hundreds I am stuck with that she paid thousands for, that I may be able to get a few hundred for when ready to part with them. 😔 Some you can hardly give away because the market just isnt what it used to be for dolls.
@@cynthiasnyder6425 ebay always selling different prices because urgent sum many seller will sell lowest prices he is not fiend whts the value of antique
I'm not far from you and I've never seen a George magazine. I need to step up my game.
Remarkable

I like when he uses the greenscreen and you can see through the objects he holds up. Lol
Where can I get that background that you used for the video? I love it! Great content!
I have a couple years of knew regular home & gardens, Oprah ect, most in plastic. I've been saving them for someone else for worst case crafts, I wonder if these would sell?
Wow! Totally clueless that GEORGE even sold. Also i needed this reminder to break up my lot of Indy 500 programs!
Thanks I appreciate what you doing for me .I'm never skipping the magazine / book rack area Ever again. Me llamo George.
I love your videos.
Life magazine Manson and the Woodstock one are good.
Do you recommend a specific auction site for vintage clothing..I have a unique dress with good luck native American swastikas. on the dress ...thanks ..cool info on the mags
That is great info. Do you have any other brands that sell well?
What about Playbills my grandmother passed, and left a whole box full. She collected them from all the shows she saw.
I’ve done really well with playbills especially ones that are from regional theater companies like the La Jolla Playhouse or LagunaBeach theater. Also certain ones from Broadway theaters in New York City can also be valuable. Keep in mind that most play bills contain advertising so they do not qualify as media mail. I know that sounds like a casual topic but it actually isn’t.
As a seller you have to be very consistent with following the USPS guidelines and rules when it comes to media mail.
Wow good money on that stuff
Awesome
Hi Don,
Enjoying your many videos. Where do you suggest one goes when wanting to source a ton of magazines etc.?
Best!
JJ
Disregard my question as your video did answer my questions.
I liked the video & maybe previously subscribed?
I have a large collection of adult magazines from 1987-2010, most of which I bought new.
Do you have a video about selling adult magazines? In this case, Leg Show & many mint Tight.
How do tou get the library tags off library books n magazines?
Hey Don, which labels do you use to cover the address label? I assume they don't tear when removed and you only cover it for the pics and vids. Thanks!
Found full sets of vanadides magazines from 1999 to 2003 .. any value there cant find much online
Could 3 letter gov. agencies have anything to do with the high prices paid for the magazines originally edited by JFK Jr ?
How do you price them as an auction item?
George belonged to JFK Jr.
That is why that one is going for so much....some people believe he sent messages in that issue...and he is still alive.
@@thriftingfromscratch8542 Unfortunately he died far too young.
