- This week’s episode deals with a personal favorite of mine, and a mainstay species of Gahagen Laboratories; the Electric Blue Day Gecko! These guys are an amazing species to establish in planted vivariums and breed regularly under proper environmental conditions.

Thank you very much for that video, I just see that geckos in Zoo in Wroclaw in Poland and i fall in love. I will think about having them someday and make the best house for the small ones as best i can do and i will take your advices to heart

Tell me about the substrate you use for your Williamsi please. We're in the process of getting a new Leap enclosure going and would like to hear your thoughts on substrates. Currently we have an AFT and 2 Leopard's in separate bioactive enclosures.

Super awesome video, I currently own a phelsuma grandis but these geckos have really struck my interest! It seems care for them is rather similar?
Taylor Hassell they are very similar but a tad more arid of environment. I must 3 times a day and let the enclosure completely dry out.

I said the same thing lol sounds more like my giant #phelsuma humidity haha
Spraying four times a day isnt much whatsoever, you just have to pay attention to the enclosure or getting an auto mister. Still not arid though.
Hello, could you help me? Can I use for these geckos a uvb lamp and a lamp for aquarium for plants? If I have 45x45x60 height terrarium, what uvb lamp shall I use?

Since electric blue day geckos stay smaller yes. If you get a giant day gecko I would get a 18x18x24. I tried to keep my giant day gecko in a 12x12x24 and she got super stressed but I never had an issue keeping my electric blue day gecko in the smaller tank.

Cool video on a great species, I would suggest testing your compacts though, they need replacing a lot more often than yearly unfortunately they are a very poor source of uvb

Just a suggestion for future videos--when I click on a video with a name like this, I want to see the animal, not a human talking about the animal. The information is interesting and very well done, but you can easily put a voiceover covering film of the actual animal's behavior and habitat. Most of this video was of a (non-electric blue) human talking. Now, if the human was blue. . . .
