I find it interesting that you’ve found they try to escape when you go to feed. Personally, my small day geckos will come up to the front when it’s feeding time, and just wait for me to put their food in. Never had one try to escape during feeding or watering time - I’ve even had them come up and eat straight from my hand from time to time. Came back to this video while looking for information on how to rehabilitate day geckos (for some reason I decided to stop and watch hahah), as I was just given a peacock day gecko by a family friend with a slight case of stunting, mbd, and stuck shed. Doing my best to get them up to speed, and hoping they start doing as well as my other little ones soon. Either way, great video, loved all the information you provided! I would love for you to make a video regarding a bio active home for a Red Tail Boa. Peruvian RedTail or whatever. It’s such a popular animal and I think many would benefit.
I would suggest giving your day gecko a nice, spray foam background with some wood on it, he would love a basking spot and foam backgrounds can meet that requirement

And when watching a video in your store, you put more in the container than was shown in the kit to the left of the video. I'm blonde. It'll all work out...

Sorry but Reptisafe will NOT remove calcium from water. It is a conditioner so it will remove chlorine, chloramine and heavy metals. This won’t help at all with calcium deposits.
That, I did not know. That is what I was told - Interesting. Since I use the RODI h20, I never have that problem. Besides natural apple cider vinegar is there something better that you would recommend to help get the hard water stains in something as easy as Reptisafe? Thank you!
There is unfortunately no product that you could add to the water to remove calcium, the water should be filtered through reverse osmosis filter. White vinegar will help to dissolve the stains on the glass or an aquarium scraper on a wet glass will do the job. But water conditionner can’t remove minerals from the water just chemicals.
