Yeah I spent many years working for a railroad here in California who was the second largest in the country and now it's gone bought out by another Railroad many of its lines were abandoned it makes me feel old and redundant at my past and my history is disappearing before my very eyes it saddens me a great deal

a sad sight... Back in 2012, there were rails there, but now rare artifacts remind us that there was a railroad here.
I am grateful that the station is still there.
Nice adventure my friend! I enjoyed walking with you :) Thank you for the wonderful Nagano experience! L23 🙏🇯🇵❤️🚆🛤️🏠🌿⛰️⛅️👍
Thank you. I'm happy (^o^)
Adding the photos adds a poignant touch. Sad to see the line gone.
There's an indescribable loneliness

In Japan, they lose to competition with buses and disappear.
The lives of both working people and local residents will be drastically changed.
Czas zmienia wszystko
Still, I'm glad there are things that don't change.
