There seem to be some boss blinds that you can't see at certain times, at the very least, I have never seen the boss blinds that effect face cards in ante 1. Also, there are a handful of jokers that get "unlocked" that aren't just cavendish - the jokers that buff you for having stone, glass, lucky, and steel cards in your deck will only be seen if you have one of those card enhancements in your deck.
A tip i never see mentioned is manipulating the boss that shuffles your jokers facedown. There's actually 2 things you can do to circumvent this. 1. You can select some of your jokers (like you were gonna sell them) and they stay like that after shuffling 2. You can click and hold on one of them and it stays in your hand while the rest shuffle. With these two tips you can basically fix your jokers immediately after they shuffle. Not sure if it's intended but still a neat little trick!
Another interesting blueprint/brainstorm effect is stuntman. It copies the +250 chips without losing an additional -2 hand size which can be very useful, especially on plasma deck
Ancient joker not changing when you skip is something thats very inportant in Ancient joker runs, when you are against a certain type of suit boss (head, club, window, goad) it is a correct move to skip straight to said boss while you have a suit that is different from the boss'. Now that ancient joker is updated to always change suits after round (he cant pick diamonds 15 times in a row now), you can play the small blind, see what he wants at the end of the round, if its the same as the suit boss, play the big blind, otherwise you skip to the boss
I knew about the right click to deselect, but holding R to reset the run made me so happy to learn. I was doing some challenge runs and found it so tedious going through the menus to restart when I knew I was in a bad position... It's only just dawning on me now that there isn't even a list of keybindings in the settings lol
Loved this video! Jumping on to share another hidden fact about Mr. Bones. If Mr Bones is targeted by Crimson Heart on the final hand of the Boss Blind, Mr Bones cant save you. Happened to me this week: got above 50% of the total ante score but Mr Bones was hit by Crimson Heart debuff on the final hand & Game Over. So watch out for Crimson Heart if you're using Mr Bones. I gotta remember to buy Director's Cut voucher more often! Thanks for the awesome video & good luck to you all out there!
Not sure if you know but the effect of photograph is effected by retriggers. So it adds x2 for each retrigger(depending on the jokers and red seal) for the first played face card. I always assumed it was just a flat x2
Here’s a mechanic / PSA about the Voucher Tag: If you don’t buy the voucher that it spawns at the first possible shop the vouchers will despawn and become unavailable in the next shop. I was running the double tag deck and I used a bunch of doubles on a Voucher Tag, then in my shop I purchased 1 voucher and left the rest for later in the ante but after I beat the small blind the rest were all gone.
300+ hours played and I had no clue about the right click card drop LMAOOOO The negative joker stat was a good listen too. I can attest to skipping the poly vouchers for new Jokers on Gold Stake runs. NO MORE
I had no idea about right click to delesect hand I play Balatro on my Steam deck cause I think it's a great handheld game, and now I'll bind one of my extra buttons to right click
Your comment certainly more important than the content of this video. I recommend making videos explaining when others make a math mistake, I'm sure it will get lots of views. I even paused the video just so I could marvel at your wisdom.
I mean, it was obviously an honest mistake. He's talking about optimizing probabilities and min-maxing multipliers. I'm beyond certain that he can multiply 5 and 15.
I just wanted to let people know that on PS4 the current patch is not the updated version. Sure wish it was because when I get those skip tags for negative jokers early game they are all but useless :(. $12 the first small blind is a tall order!
Slightly annoyed that the developer doesn't use the Bridge ranking of suits -- Spades, Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs, which is also the alphabetical ordering. But I'll live with it :)
Bold choice to open on 2 tips that are in the tutorial and then have the third tip just be the text on a joker. I almost clicked off the video and didn't see the actually useful tips later
A lot of players never got to play the tutorial due to issues. These first two tips are things I've let many people know that we're shocked. It's hidden in the way that there is no way to readily access this information with out it being your first load of the game with no profiles connected to it. The text on the joker is unclear and a lot of people were unsure if it saves you by resetting the blind/adding hands/or giving the win. However, thank you for feedback on starting with the more straightforward tips versus the advanced stuff.
Let me know mechanics you want to know more about! Also let me know what 15*5 is because apparently i can't do math 😂

75, i literally came to the comments to tell u lmao
The math ain't mathin' but the content is a contender.
He ain’t the professor. But he doesn’t need to be either

Fun fact: as Mr Bones' effect says that it saves you from death. This implies that when you lose a run, you canonically die.

I canonically die a little inside every time I lose

my middle school math teacher had no clue he was teaching me PEMDAS so i could minmax my Balatro score

also iirc (this may have been fixed) but duplicated jokers (invis or the one spectral) have different card backs to the other jokers
@@roses10k that's also still a thing. And stuff like half joker etc can be seen too!
@@roses10k Specifically it will have a red deck card back so it will have a different card back unless you are playing red deck
I hope they fix this though. This just seems like a unintended feature.
Is it possible to watch them on .5x speed?

Good to know, I’ve been too scared to ever test it

Are you aware of how to manipulate the rng on Wheel of Fortune? I asked a friend and they said Nope
Underrated comment
Nice, didn't know you could move a joker after the scoring phase for the end-of-round stuff!

Which is why Photograph with hanging chad goes absolutely crazy.
@@jessevandendorenand hanging works great with glass face cards for this! 2^3 is equal to x 8 mult without glass but 2^6 with glass which is x 64 mult
9:35 I've had Mr Bones self destruct to finish a Gold Stake run and he didn't get the sticker
Thats why I feel mine was a glitch - thanks for noting though
Also Mr. Bones doesn’t save you if you run out of cards. Learned this the hard way
Wait, that's very useful information. Thanks for commenting!!!

Well yeah it just says adds another voucher to the *next* shop
100+ hours on steam with this game
Regular twitch viewer
And I still learned a thing or two from this video
I'm so glad!
Damn, thought I was a balatro vet but even I learned a few things in this video

Can’t wait for the update to hit Switch so I can resume going for gold stakes!
Just do it on the reg patch coward 💀
