    21 Signs Your Body Needs Specific Nutrients
    1. Tingling in the toes, also known as peripheral neuropathy, can be caused by a vitamin B1 deficiency. Pork, liver, meat, eggs, and sunflower seeds are the best sources of vitamin B1.
    2. Cracks in the corner of the mouth can be caused by a vitamin B2 deficiency. Consume liver, red meat, and eggs to increase vitamin B2 intake.
    3. Thinning hair can be caused by a biotin deficiency. Without enough biotin, you can’t make keratin, the protein needed to make hair.

    4. Premature graying of the hair can be caused by a vitamin B9 deficiency. Folate (vitamin B9) repairs DNA, helps prevent cancer, and supports melanin production.
    5. Mouth ulcers can be caused by a vitamin B12 deficiency. To increase your intake, consume more red meat, liver, and clams.
    6. Deep pelvic bone pain can be caused by vitamin D deficiency.
    7. Heavy menstrual bleeding can be caused by high estrogen levels or a vitamin K1 deficiency. Dark leafy green vegetables and liver are the best sources of vitamin K1.
    8. Heavy menstrual cramping can be caused by calcium buildup due to a magnesium deficiency. Dark leafy green vegetables and pumpkin seeds are the best sources of magnesium.
    9. Fibroids can be caused by too much estrogen, but vitamin D can help keep them in check.
    10. Eye twitching, also known as tetany, can be caused by a magnesium deficiency.
    11. Heart pounding can be caused by a potassium deficiency. You need 4700 mg of potassium per day.
    12. Chronic cough can be caused by a calcium deficiency. Calcium lactate is the best calcium supplement.
    13. Ice cravings can be caused by iron deficiency. Try increasing your intake of red meat or liver before resorting to supplements.
    14. Low libido can be caused by a zinc deficiency. Shellfish, especially oysters, and red meat are the best sources of zinc.
    15. Hearing loss can be caused by a vitamin B12 deficiency.
    16. Fibrocystic breasts can be caused by excess estrogen, which may result from low iodine. To increase iodine intake, consume sea kelp, seaweed, and shellfish.
    17. Dry, flaky skin is a classic sign of omega-3 fatty acid deficiency. For this problem, consume high-quality cod liver oil or fish oil.
    18. Muscle weakness can be caused by a vitamin E deficiency. Tocotrienols may help.
    19. Fatty liver-choline deficiency can cause a fatty liver. Egg yolk and liver are the best sources of choline.
    20. Cold sores can be caused by a virus, but increasing lysine can help put the virus in remission.
    21. High lipids can be regulated with the help of niacin (vitamin B3).

    I stop eating sugar has helped me lose weight and my skin, brain fog ,fatigue, heart health ..My doctor told me to come back in 4 months to get blood work So he can see something about why my LDL came down so fast.

    I thought that I had peripheral neuropathy but am not diabetic. Then I listened to Dr. Berg and took Vitamin B and the terrible symptoms went away!!!❤ so happy!!!!

    Missing on the list: vitamin C deficiency!! Symptoms: very dry skin, bleeding lips, joint pain, low iron (in spite of eating meat)... I had this! I started taking 1000 mg of liposomal vit. C / day and symptoms resolved or improved within days!

      Yes, highly relevant! Receding gums are also caused by a vitamin C (and omega 3) deficiency.

    Iron and B12 deficiency caused nerve pain, loss of hearing, impaired vision and pain and numbness down my right arm and hand. Took me almost falling down the stairs and giving myself whiplash to find out. Listen to your body. Living with pain or simply taking medications to make it go away is not the healthy way to live. Health should be a team effort and wanting to be educated in your own personal health should be respected.     Thank you Dr Berg for educating us on our bodies/health. I’m 79 years young and only see my doctor annually. Thank God for guiding me to your videos. I quit smoking 20 years ago and gained 30lbs. I found you on Intermittent fasting and I’m on my 2nd week. I only lost 1 lb but won’t give up. It’s a lot of learning how to eat protein & fibres. My downfall was carbs! Not missing it so far!     Dr Berg, thank you so much for your videos! After being over prescribed Nexium for way too long, it became apparent that i had mineral/nutritional deficiencies that gradually manifested in worsening health effects. The past 2 years have been spent learning so much about healthier living. Nerves and stress so much lower. Spiritual life so much improved as adding meditation and prayer, forgiveness of others and love for others as my body and mind are more as God intends! Thank you!

    You are right on Point. Can you do a segment on the safety of gel caps and veggie caps? I have some concerns. I have started opening and removing my supplements into liquid water or juice, and I don't like what gel caps are made of.

    Thank you so much for your videos. I have autoimmune atrophic gastritis. My doctors have no clue and tell me I'm imagining my symptoms or I have some other problem, and that autoimmune gastritis only cause B12 deficiency. After watching your videos, I got rid of the reflux, the wild whole-body symptoms, the parathesias, the nerve pain, the balance and proprioception problems, the apathy and fatigue, the heart palpitations and arrhythmias, the G.I. problems...I could go on. The fact that the solution is so simple blew my mind.

    Hi dear Doc, God bless you abundantly as much as you help people and educate them. You are making a great difference in people's life ❤️. I have a question, I reached near death experience because of my excessive menstrual bleeding, my hemoglobin level dropped beneath 5 , I had iron IV infusion and I eventually experienced iron toxic shock, this was my near death experience. I do have vitamin D3 20000 for a week now and I had it 10000 for the previous 3 months , my question is, should I add K1 to my list or should I have a test first ? I have a mural fibroid.

      Dr Berg said, start with low dose Calcium Lactate supplement or Kefir or Greek Yoghurt. He said, chronic cough is a Calcium deficiency.

    I had a great test done a few years back when Life Extension ran a special on all of your markers. It was so extensive, heart protein markers, kidney proteins, on and on and on. It was great, and I encourage anyone out there to watch out for their test if it comes up again as a special. It is pricey now, just like everything, but I keep watching out. Would take it again!

    ❤ May Our heavenly Father continue to bless you Dr Berg! This list has given me so much insight to my health. Because I have oral allergy syndrome and cant eat fruits and veggies I lack so much. But knowing what i need specifically to help myself without going to the doctors trying to find the cause saves so much hassle!

    Please more videos like this, specially showing the meat sources of the vitamins and minerals we need. Seems like organ meat (or organ supplements for those of us who can’t stomach organs) would be the best sources of most of the dense nutrient needs we have

    I have osteoporosis and have been told that thinning bone doesn’t cause pain, so the hip pain must be from something else. I only have pain on waking in the morning and attribute it to my scoliosis. And in my case (I’m 67) osteoporosis is due to loss of estrogen. I take plenty of D3, K2, and magnesium.
