    Made pineapple tarts for the very first time in my whole life and I must say, I followed this video tutorial step-by-step and my golden tarts turned out great!!! For the dough, I decided to add 2 tbsp icing sugar into the flour mixture for a little sweetness :)

      Awesome melt in the mouth recipe! Thanks for sharing it. I baked at 150c as 130c was too low for my oven. It's a keeper 👍

    For egg wash, you can use milk powder instead of condense milk to those did not prefer sweetness...fyi. A good video tutorial. Thanks for sharing. 👍👏

      Hi Caroline, the milk powder would make the pastry more fragrant, corn starch would make the pastry more crumbly 😊🙏🏻

      Yes, add a little more flour. I would suggest to add milk powder so the pastry would smell and taste good 😊👍🏼

      Hi Jasmine, correct… I did not add any sugar, only add some salt. So the pastry will be savory while the pineapple paste is already sweet. This combination is just nice and yummy 🥰❤️

      Hi Felicity, sorry for my late response.
      Try using big egg. If the dough is still dry, can flick some cold water over the dough using fingers and mix the dough again. Do let me know if you face any issues, happy trying 😊🙏🏻

      Hi Jan, any brand of normal milk powder would do. I’m using Dutch Lady/ Nestle Nespray 😊🙏🏻

    Thanks for sharing the recipe. Do I have to melt the butter? Or just cut into cube? Also, my powder is quite dry, just add more egg yolk?

      Hi Elaine, cut into cubes. We want the butter cold when we incorporate into the flour. Yes, you may add a little more egg yolk, I’m using bigger egg with large egg yolk. Thank you… 😄🙏🏻

      Hi Joanne, the pineapple filling is about 3g - 4g and pastry skin add additional 2g, so is around 5g-6g and this recipe can yield about 75 pieces.
      This also depends the size you like ya~ 😊😊

    I made my pineapple tarts this cny with this recipe, it turned out great and yummy but i disappointed because after more than a week, all become moldy... advice pls...

      This depends on the pineapple paste, some of the texture is too moist, it will become moldy easily. You may need to adjust the baking time or choose dryer pineapple paste 🙏🏻
      Depending on the oven you’re using, may increase temperature 10c and adjust the time according

      Hi dear.. sorry for my late reply 😅
      With my 4 egg whites from this recipe, a quick way to use up, I just mix it into minced pork with some seasoning and pan fry it using low heat until it’s cooked/ slight golden brown 😊
      The pork patty is ready on table for dinner 😁❤️ 😂
      There’re other dishes/cookies recipes using egg whites 😊

      Yes, you can. Unfinished paste can be kept in fridge 😊
      After rolled into small balls it’s better to refrigerate for about 1/2 hour so it’s more solid 🥰🙏🏻

      Hi Ah Bee, every oven might vary. I would suggest to reduce 10-20°C and follow the time you usually bake biscuits.
      Shelf life is about 3 weeks in the air tight container in room temperature 😊🙏🏻

      I added some salt to the pastry. The outcome would be little salty from the pastry + sweetness from the pineapple. It’s addictive😄😄 ❤️💕

      Hi dear... I bought it from the baking supply store. Normally they sell 2 types. 1 is normal pineapple paste and the 2nd is premium pineapple paste 😊

    I tried, it was too crumpy for me to do a cute 3D version… too dry, I had to add 12 tbs of water and additional butter for the smooth dough… maybe you need to whisk butter first then add flour
