I highly doubt Iga and Qinwen are total bitches in the locker room simply because they keep to themselves. I feel for Coco. Coco is a great sport but shouldn't let emotion get the better of her. Not sure if the bad call would make any difference on the match but that point was critical. Line judge have a tough job but umpire should have explained what happened
@@jonfreeman9682 he explained it to her why he decide it the way he did and he was right. I was amazed that coco clearly did not know that she was wrong on French open this year and use it as argument "always happen to me on this court" WTF are you talking about you were wrong last time.
@@ondrejsoroka8170 Well some of these calls are really close and it's a tough decision so that's why you can't let emotion get the better part of you. Coco is a good player but can implode if she gets upset.
Collins started talking so much nonsense that even Iga didn't know what she was talking about. Accusing someone of being a fake when you yourself get "injured" and then play without any problems is kinda funny. 😅
Oh really this is why when she know that she losed and she still has doublé game she stopped thé game for à reason that she is not okay then played in doubles oh come on who is fake now?
@@jonfreeman9682 Collins stopped the match due to an injury and then played normally in doubles. She called Ige a fake for no reason and she herself behaved like someone artificial and calculating. The problem is that she simply cannot lose and takes it out on others. Iga was better, so this time she was the victim of Collins' unpleasant behavior and comments.
Collins is just jealous and a sore loser. Nobody cares about what she thinks anymore. She is just not good enough. So starting drama is away for her to feel better. Let the raquet do the drama!!!
I think Collins is saying that Iga is fake for acting concerned about Collin's "injury". Collins know herself she's faking her injury and think Iga is being sarcastic by asking her how she is 😅
I love Collins, like Navarro and like Coco but my GOD all three American women have come off like pathetically sore losers in this tournament. Navarro blowing up at Qinwen Zheng for NO reason. Coco had a decently legit complaint in that, technically the umpire was right and the call came after she hit the ball but it was VERY close and we all know umpires normally err on the side of 'it interfered with the shot' even when the call came WAY further after than in her case. But for her to still be complaining about it after the match when she could see on the replay she was wrong was lame. Collins of course must be frustrated losing ANOTHER match to Swiatek that she felt she should have been able to win but for her to retire injured and then shit on Iga for being sportsmanlike at the net is low class. I'm sad for Collins as despite her amazing form this yeah in the spring she has shat the bed at all 4 of the biggest events so far. I hope she makes at LEAST the USO semis so the slams aren't a total write off. but yeah as it stands all 3 US players are just making their country look bad by their attitude this tournament. In other news, WOW first win over Medvedev for Felix!!! Go Canada Go! And congrats to ZHeng for pulling out another epic match and sending Kerber into retirement. Also very surprised Nadalcaraz got knocked out, even if it was by one of the top seeds
but Coco wasnt a sore loser about it. She even said in her press conference that she probably wouldn't have won that match and the loss wasn't because of that point, so you're way out of line with that take.
@@AC-ss5oyno, he wasn't out of line on Coco. I mean, she openly said to the umpire that he's cheating her on that point. That's an unsportsmanlike conduct, she should have received a warning just for that. Felix did amazing as he's gone farther than anyone expected. Also Coco Puff played great but I don't think she was robbed. The replay seems to show she hit the ball just before it was called out or right when it was called out so it was close but don't think the call impacted the swing. It's a tough call at a critical point. Zheng played great and don't think she did anything wrong so not sure what's the issue.
The internet is blowing up about the American tennis players (minus Jessie) behavior. Even if one calls a call, you really don't need to trow a tantrum like a toddler, lol.
Miss Danielle Collins do not surfer for injury, she had a heat stroke. It was obvious. That is the reason why Miss Iga Świątek asked, how is she feeling. In POLAND it is a normal question. That is all, folks
Waves her racket when opponent is about to serve. Takes her own sweet time when serving and change of ends. She took such a long toilet break that the crowd at Wimbledon started slow hand clapping then booed her when she showed her face. Very sour faced when she loses. Not much of a good sport there. It’s a whole lot of sour grapes from the Americans. I’m saying this as an American. It’s all in poor taste. Coco Gauff didn’t play a good clean match at all and deservedly lost. Hopefully she learns from this going forward. Emma Navarro could have handled it privately with Zheng instead of running her mouth in front of the media. Zheng gave a classy reply making Navarro look even worse. We already know the type of personality Danielle Collins is so this is no surprise. They should just hand Swaitek the gold medal.
I don’t love Coco buying into negativity being associated w/ a particular venue. She needs to develop a bulletproof mindset, & not be looking for inevitable misfortune every time she plays at Roland Garros
Iga is a very sweet person, she is also an introvert so she won’t be going to chat up to people. Also as she mentioned many times - she has a target on her back and all other ladies want her spot so it’s also normal that she would keep some distance. But she is always polite and respectful which cannot be said about everyone…
Yes. Pure sportsmanship. That's why she did not shake hands with the umpire after losing to Zheng. In victory it's easy to "be kind", but when you lose, your real person comes out.
@@KillSanchezVol.1 She was stressed out and fuzzy. In that kind of situations, after a loss, which she badly felt in an interview, it seems she hasn't left court with her head yet. So not shaking hands with the umpire was not purposeful behaviour. If such things were happening constantly then we could argue.
@@Arcadius8 Those things do not happen very often because she rarely loses on clay. There are a few things in tennis that are paramount. Shaking hands with the umpire is one of them. No excuses.
@@KillSanchezVol.1 You are just biased against her. She would surely apologize, if asked about that, and she would tell you the same i did. Keep cheering for Rybakina, instead of attacking Świątek.
Been supporting Coco forever, but I really don't like her attitude and behavior on court lately. She snapped on her coach at Wimbledon (a man old enough to be her grandfather) because she was losing and now she's throwing tantrums with the umpires. Not cool. She looked so immature out there and I'm sure she was embarrassed to be losing like that in front of superstar athletes like Lebron, Curry, etc. Maybe it's the money or the fame, but Coco's parents need to sit her down quick to remind her about staying humble. The same people you see on your way up will be the same people you see on your way down. Her ego is getting way too big.
Honestly Collins sometimes goes from embarrassing to cringe. Imagine asking someone if she feels ok and the other person reaction is telling her to not be fake. And the bs about speaking her mind, cmon that not “speaking her mind” that’s being a gratuitous jerk
Coco saying the ball was called out before the swing was very annoying. You can watch the replay back and clearly see that was a lie and she completed her swing before the ball was called out. Then randomly name dropping Serena, acting like it only happens to them, was immature and also not true. Adding to that crying on the court. Those tantrums rub a lot of people the wrong way. Between her, Emma, and Collins...REALLY made us Americans look bad
A true athlete is one who can lose. Danielle was losing, so she ran away from the court, Iga lost to Quinwen for gold, but she didn't run away, she won bronze the next day.
Iga is not an American who says one thing and does something else behind someone's back. Iga was raised in very good principles, like a classic Polish woman, she says what she thinks and does not pretend, she was raised on the truth.
I think Iga is a very sweet girl. I've never seen her smash her racquet or say anything bad in interviews after losing. Always have kind words for her opponent. Also she never grunts or shouts on the court and never even said a come on. She always shakes opponents hand and gives them a hug.

Great synopsis! Smh at Emma and Collins. When you are on a world stage, you just need to be careful what you say. Both ladies comments were slandererous, petty and unnecessary. I believe Iga was not being fake and was sincere. I believe Iga's demeanor is reserved and guarded, but so is Danielle's. Maybe her unemotional demeanor was mistaken as fake. If Emma had an issue with Zheng talk to her about it and not the press. I have empathy for Coco because she did have a reason for her frustrations. I still feel she needs to learn how to let it go and accept that their is bias in all facets of ours lives. I didn't hear her press conference. I feel so bad she didn't win a metal. I thought she would win a bronze metal at least. Her and Fritz played well together. Not sure if it was their first time playing together or not. They just got outplayed in the tiebreak. I hope FAA metals.
Collins always seems to have a chip on her shoulder. Honestly, she seems salty because, once again, she had an opportunity to beat Iga and didn't. Only Collins knows if her injury was serious enough to end the match, or if she was having flashbacks of previous encounters with Iga, when Collins could have won... should have won, but didn't. Many have speculated if Collins announced her retirement to move the conversation from that one match where she couldn't close against Iga.
exactly right - I am a huge collins fan but she is just lashing out here because she could have beat Iga AGAIN and came up short AGAIN. Her remarks toward Iga are uncalled for
Collins just couldn’t take it. Her intensity only intimidates opponents when she wins. She knows this too. Not a big Swiatek fan, but Collins was so presumptuous about Iga. How the hell is Iga supposed to know from across the court? And is she supposed to say absolutely nothing? I’m sure Iga could easily be that person too.
I don't get how you are still defending them when they behaved absolutely horrible with their behaviours and comments, better they go home, maybe this kind of behaviour is acceptable in US but not in Europe!

If there's anyone that needs a sports psychologist, and really, just a psychologist in general, it's Collins. Absolutely no one in the locker room likes this chick. And this forced push in the beginning of the year in the American press to paint Collins as a good person, was so forced and contrived it wasn't even funny. Bluntly, she will not be missed on tour.
I think some American female tennis players seems to think they are special and they struggle with others not bowing down to them. Collins like to speak her mind and when she announced her retirement she started playing better. What does that tell you....

The referee has to judge based on what he sees, regardless of what Coco says and whether she's right. Otherwise, the players would learn that making a scene and possibly crying helps. No, the referee has to judge according to what he sees or believes, no matter how unfair the decision may be. And Coco needs to learn to regulate herself and her emotions-and not use the word "always" when it isn't actually always.
Coco needs a sports psychologist. She is a 20/woman. That alone comes with a lot of emotions. She needs some calming techniques. Everything goes by the wayside when she is pressured. That’s what everyone in the locker room sees. Pressure = choked serve, defensive, doesn’t move feet. The first part of every match her serve and forehand are good.
It is not going to serve her well to constantly be thinking that she is getting screwed over by bad calls. She needs a sports psychologist that can help her just focus on her game.
@@medusa859 Her forehand needs work but it’s not terrible. She is able to hit forehand winners. She needs to incorporate a better drop shot , improve her slice and move her feet. Take pressure off the forehand.

Really appreciated hearing your takes! Ngl team USA’s behavior was so off putting. I wonder how much of these clashes come from just being brought up in different cultures, and Navarro and Collins coming from college tennis. And they’re all rivals playing for a lot of money or in this case an Olympic medal-why should they be friends/friendly off court? If they’re introverted, shy, or hey, English is not their first language, wouldn’t it be more fake to try to make a connection when the desire is not there? I think I saw a recent Djokovic interview where he said he’s not friends with any of the guys on tour bc it would be easy to say something that inadvertently could help his opponent the next time they meet on court. But he’d be happy to grab dinner when they’re retired. I think that’s a perfectly reasonable mindset to have. It’s more infuriating that these elite tennis players, mean and women, are millionaires. All of them need therapy bc their arguing/lashing out/badmouthing to the press is juvenile. It does not make the sport more interesting; it makes me want to turn the TV off.
Collins always look like she is upset about something and ready to lash out at any time. Creating drama where there is no need for it. The hot temperature in Paris is not helping but that's not an excuse for her nasty behaviour.
The American women did themselves no favors by their childish behavior. All three ( Guaf, Navarro, and Collins) acted like whiny , spoiled prima Donna’s. Collins is probably (not by much) the worst of the bunch. I have heard that she is not well liked on the tour, and if you’ve seen her behavior on the court, it’s easy to understand. Looking forward to her retirement. Frankly, it can’t come soon enough.
This is Olympic Games, not any grand slam. Tennis players seem to forget it is an honor to be picked and play for your countries. Don't act like tennis is such an elite sport that you can do and say whatever you want to your opponent during an Olympic game. I can see Coco disputing the line call but again it's the chair umpire's final decision so you can argue all you want but it won't change the result. Why do all other athletes in other sports can be happy for their teammates/other countries teams winning gold or silver and US ladies tennis can't. Let's not forget about the Olympic tradition of respective and sportsmanship.
Can't even picture Chris Evert, Monica Seles, Billie Jean King, or the Williams sisters ever confronting an opponent after a loss to say "your fake" - and at the OLYMPICS where it's all about sportsmanship. I can't imagine them putting their hand to their ear to beg for applause like Coco ... or Alcaraz as well, let's be honest.

Disappointed in the results and attitudes....and yes, Coco needs some wins and to close out season strong. If she doesn't defend her title, I don't wanna hear her whining....maybe take a break and start over next year. Or lose and not have a meltdown. She should handle adversity better like Venus and Serena to get over that hump. Whew Danielle and Emma were vicious, but who knows, maybe it's "intense" behind the scenes. People need to stop making excuses for IGA. Her taking extremely long bathroom shows her true character. Iga knows how much time she has for her bathroom break. This is one of Iga's tactics to slow down her opponent's game and it is gamesmanship and this is why she lost to Zheng.
Collins was possibly projecting her own personal issues onto a 'safe' target which is this case was quiet introvert Iga. I'd put it largely down to frustration.

@johnathanperez4334 Ditto. I remember her posting about Iga's bakery after she lost at WTA Final to her in Mexico. And her post match speech was so mature and appreciative. It was really something.
I love Coco so much like most fans do. But the biggest disservice she did to herself was losing her momentum. Once she did then the ugly side of umpire kicked in. Coco should learn how to quickly finish what she started.
Coco is always whining and seems to think she always get wrong calls. Maybe the odd one but yesterday wasn’t one and overall the good/bad calls usually even themselves out. Coco is an incredible talent but needs some mentoring should a call go against her. I.e. be even more determined in next point.
I'm an American, but I am a big fan of Donna Vekic's game and her attitude. At her best, she can beat anyone. But Coco is more consistent. If each player had a head to head where they play one another for a series of 10 matches straight, Coco gets the edge, but if both players went up against each other at their very best for one match, I would have to give the edge to Donna. She's an absolute killer when she's on.
Danielle's injury was not too serious, probably more psychosomatic she quickly recovered to play double, dont want want to pychoanalyze her but she was probably projecting on her opponent
One is entitled to fair treatment! In Coco’s case, the umpire admitted she(the umpire) was wrong but didn’t reverse the call and gave the opponent the point. Yall need to back off of Coco because she does get bad calls a lot. She just fed up with it
1.Collins is just a salty sore loser, which we have seen so many times on court. I don't also get why people are coming at iga for her bathroom breaks as long as it's not against the rules it's fine, and no one is stopping them If they drop a set to her to do the same thing if it's a "mental" game then the floor is open to everyone. 2. She didn't need to say all the BS at the net. I felt she should have apologised further for her bullet shot at iga 3. When iga had her racket up even the umpire was like "thank you please" meaning there was someone moving or noise from somewhere In short all the American tennis players need a psychologist beacause those where some nasty behaviors at the olympics
Jealousy is a powerful drug. It’s a shame to see the Americans melt down on the world stage. Coco felt honestly aggrieved, that’s fine. Danielle was just being VERY petty-that puts rust on her otherwise very good final season. I guess Dan-yell is a mind reader now. Puh-lease. OMG-human beings need bathroom breaks??? Coco assumes she is being wronged when calls go against her. ‘This always happens to me’ and ‘I always have to advocate for myself’ Those comments suggest she believes there is some kind of a conspiracy against her, but there’s no evidence of that, especially here where she was demonstrably incorrect. Sometimes close calls go against you, sometimes they go against your opponent. Let it go.
I was at the court for Collins game and Iga was really annoying with all these delays. But she does that all the time within the rules. Collins struggled in the doubles match and they lost at the end.

Good comments, you're like a judge 😅😂
As an American, I wholeheartedly agree with this take. JPeg had to bring the class and professional composure all by herself.
I don’t get that impression of Iga at all, as soon as she starts losing the excuses come out and she has a terrible attitude.
@@Arcadius8 Those things do not happen very often because she rarely loses on clay. There are a few things in tennis that are paramount. Shaking hands with the umpire is one of them. No excuses.

She was also arguing with the umpire, for the exact same reason, at RG 2024 in a match against Swiatek
Honestly Collins sometimes goes from embarrassing to cringe.
Imagine asking someone if she feels ok and the other person reaction is telling her to not be fake.
And the bs about speaking her mind, cmon that not “speaking her mind” that’s being a gratuitous jerk
Speaking your mind doesn't inherently mean that you're not a jerk...

Collins should think before she speaks, not the other way around.
I’m not sure if she even thinks about what she said…

The American women did themselves no favors by their childish behavior. All three ( Guaf, Navarro, and Collins) acted like whiny , spoiled prima Donna’s.

If she doesn't defend her title, I don't wanna hear her whining....maybe take a break and start over next year. Or lose and not have a meltdown. If each player had a head to head where they play one another for a series of 10 matches straight, Coco gets the edge, but if both players went up against each other at their very best for one match, I would have to give the edge to Donna. She's an absolute killer when she's on.
And in Cincinati American media said iga was destroyed bcz her loss from coco and look at their head to head Iga lead 11-1😂😂 pure dominance
COCO will always be a weepy, cringing Daddie's girl. She's won a few majors but how is mystifying. Coco isn't destined to be around for long.
Danielle's injury was not too serious, probably more psychosomatic she quickly recovered to play double, dont want want to pychoanalyze her but she was probably projecting on her opponent
She is a sore loser...😀😀😀
@adz584. Collins faked her injury, there is nothing normal about that woman. How you can recover within one hour and be ready to play double.
Collins, Coco and Emma just need to accept their loss. Big deal American players
One word sums it up: entitlement.
One is entitled to fair treatment! In Coco’s case, the umpire admitted she(the umpire) was wrong but didn’t reverse the call and gave the opponent the point. Yall need to back off of Coco because she does get bad calls a lot. She just fed up with it
in the case of Navarro, she probably thought she could get under Zheng's skin hoping she'd get rattled enough to drop her A game.
Cheated? Why? just because she lost? Give me a break. You win some, you lose some in life. Get over it.
A word of congratulations to Jess Pegula for being the classy American player. Obviously, she takes after Chris Evert.
Everyone just needs to have respect for everyone.
I felt she should have apologised further for her bullet shot at iga
3. When iga had her racket up even the umpire was like "thank you please" meaning there was someone moving or noise from somewhere
In short all the American tennis players need a psychologist beacause those where some nasty behaviors at the olympics
Collins is probably constantly surrounded by a lot of fake people so she's cannot fathom when people are genuine. Sad life when you don't trust anyone
They have bladders and colons and need to change their gear during an hours long individual match???? Get real-very reasonable, humane. Emma-no one needs your personality critique-knock it off. The Americans as a group looked whiny and like sore losers. Exception-Jessie Pegula-well done.
cry babies. they are too used to crying victim back here
Tennis is a pressure game, unfortunately these type of breakdowns and rude comments reflect badly on the country as they come accross as sore losers.
This is my first time watching you, wow amazing content!
thank you!
Let it go.
Collins - drama queen- always unhappy when she loses
Sadly humbleness and respectfulness are not virtues the US culture embraces; entitlement is….and it shows.
I was at the court for Collins game and Iga was really annoying with all these delays. But she does that all the time within the rules. Collins struggled in the doubles match and they lost at the end.
Collins needs a good psychologist because her on-court behavior is very strange
She's retiring.
Collins is a terrible person. TERRIBLE. I think her disgusting behavior in the quarterfinal really affected Iga in the next match 😢
Drama, classless, no sportmanshop, the legacy of one so called the Goat! 😂😂😂😂
No one cares about what Emma respects or what she doesn't respect.
Is there a school in USA for Karen's or what? Collins must have graduated with honors! ;P
Karens can't help themselves.... its a sense of insecurity mixed with arrogance 😮
Your insights were incredibly detailed and provided a comprehensive understanding of the players’ performances and the overall dynamics of the matches.
thank you!
Collins is an exception, no manner, no etiquette. I don’t think any other US player, male or female, is like that, and she's not even a star like Chris Evert and other US Slam winners.
