    Enjoying the vid Steve, brings back some good memories when i did the same to a 1974 2door back in 1990, only difference i took the body off the chassis to clean and paint the chassis and i only have photos, no video with me them days 😞👍👍😄

    Steve it’s starting to look awesome man! Do you include the costs at the end or not? Like what you spent buying it and what you’ve spent doing it up etc? Would be awesome to see! Hopefully get some travel in soon man I need to do some videos but I feel like travel is my only option I don’t have anything else to really talk about or make a video on? Haha

      Cheers Dan! Quite a few people have asked this question, it’s definitely something I will look into near the end of the project. Appreciate you following along with the series!

    Please don’t paint the D-pillars body colour! Range Rovers generally have black A through D-pillars, and body coloured roof, to give the illusion of a “floating roof line”.

    • @stevebooker
      @stevebooker  3 роки тому +1

      Yep, totally aware of that. It’s just personal preference and something I want to do to make it unique to me. Thanks for watching

    Love these videos, they have a really nice feel. Not sure about body colour pillars though. Range Rovers have had a floating roof design since 1973 and that's why none of the pillars are body colour. Whilst 1980s vinyl might not be the nicest finish...

    • @stevebooker
      @stevebooker  3 роки тому

      So glad you’re liking the series! I know it’s a bit controversial painting the rear pillars and loosing that “floating roof” but it’s just personal preference and something I want to do to make the car unique to me. Thanks for tuning in

    Hi Steve, I really enjoy watching this restoration and the guys seem really great!! I am now looking for my own RRC to restore thanks too you ;) You are creating some really great videos and I noticed you are using a really awesome LUT/grade, a bit orange/teal, and with some grains in it. You've created it on your own?
    Really looking forward to seeing how the car turns out :D

  • @jamescheney5310
    @jamescheney5310 3 роки тому +2

    Nooo! You can’t paint the sail panels body color! The “floating roof” is a signature Rangie look, that’s integral to the design! Ok, enough histrionics, you pay your money you take your choice, but I’d strongly vote against!

    This is a mad question but one I have always wondered... What happens to all the screws and bolts bruv!? Do you hold onto them and make note what size goes where? Or do you replace them all?

    • @stevebooker
      @stevebooker  3 роки тому

      Haha, it’s a good question. Everything is kept and accounted for. Some nuts and bolts will be replaced but most are kept and reconditioned and refitted

    Don't Paint the Rear Pillars Body Colour. It looks Seriously BAD. Look at an Early Suffix ' A '
    Horrible. Hence Range Rover Cover it in Vinyl.
    It Ruins the Whole Car.
    KEEP it Original Vinyl.
    People will Take the Piss out of You Everywhere you go.
